Please know I've done my best to write this with respect and honesty, as I have email and phone records to support my claims. My experience with Alexander Automotive was so troubling that I felt that I need warn others. Throughout the process, I was lied to, and crucial information was deliberately withheld. There are several concerns that appeared throughout the process, such as speaking negatively about another dealership (Cool Springs Toyota), but I will focus on the two major issues that is intended to help others reconsider doing business with this dealer. The first major issue was the blatant lies about the condition of the truck. Allan, the GM, assured me the Toyota Tundra I was interested in was "immaculate" with no rust. However, an inspection by another Toyota dealer revealed severe rust problems, with parts suspiciously painted over to hide the damage. The inspector went as far to say that he himself would not buy this truck. The second major issue was the withholding information about recent severe damage to the truck. When I requested the vehicle history, the CarFax report provided by Alexander Automotive omitted a recent severe accident that caused structural damage. My independent vehicle history check revealed the truck had "severe damage to the structure" from an auction purchase just a month prior. This blatant omission is deceitful and unacceptable. While their communication was prompt and polite, their deceptive practices overshadow any positives. To anyone considering buying from Alexander Automotive: beware. The lack of transparency and dishonesty I experienced were shocking. If I had trusted them, it could have caused serious financial harm to my family. If you value your money and trust, shop elsewhere. Avoid Alexander Automotive at all costs.

I've had it serviced at the store numerous times. I consider David Beasley, the service manager, a friend. (He owns 34 pairs of Jordan's). I tried everything to buy a new (to me) vehicle from them while I was getting my oil changed a few weeks ago. They acted like they thought I was joking. I went and bought another car from another dealership and then came back to try to sell them the Durango that I bought from them. I took it to them on Friday February 20th to see if they'd purchase it. After all, I get emails and mailers from them all the time saying they want to buy my Durango. Well, the used car manager took a look at it and then proceeds to have the salesman tell me it's not something they'd be interested in purchasing. Fast forward to today. Carvana just picked up my Durango and brought a check with them. Easiest experience ever!

Very disappointing experience with the service department at Freeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in…read moreAntioch. Our 2022 RAM ProMaster City was brought in due to a transmission issue. The dealership diagnosed a leaking transmission cooler and told us the repair was not covered under warranty, so we paid about $1,900 out of pocket to replace it. However, the same transmission vibration and shifting issue remained when we picked up the vehicle. When we returned the vehicle, we were told that the transmission had internal damage caused by fluid loss from the cooler leak and that the entire transmission now needed to be replaced for over $9,000. To make matters worse, our original service contact stopped responding and later left the dealership. Communication only resumed after we opened a corporate complaint with Stellantis. Meanwhile, our vehicle sat at the dealership for over two months without repair, which significantly impacted our business operations. We also opened a corporate case with Stellantis. Unfortunately, Stellantis simply relied on the dealership's explanation and also denied warranty coverage without clearly explaining what actually caused the cooler leak. The dealership acknowledged that the cooler leak caused the transmission damage, yet they still refused warranty coverage. At one point they suggested possible "impact damage," but no documentation or evidence supporting that claim was ever provided. Meanwhile, our vehicle sat at the dealership for over two months without repair, causing significant disruption to our business operations. This entire situation could likely have been avoided if the initial transmission cooler failure had been properly handled under the powertrain warranty. Customers should carefully review warranty coverage and repair documentation before agreeing to repairs here.

This was my first oil change and while I was in the waiting area they sent me a video with a summary of the things they did and checked on my vehicle. Moving to TN and experiencing my first wreck in 2019, I found Nelson Mazda by word of mouth and had a fantastic experience on my own buying a verified preowned 2011 Mazda 3. Nelson was straightforward and stayed in my budget. That sweet car served me well until another unfortunate accident in 2024. At this point in my life, I knew I had the ability to buy new and did a 3 week extensive search shopping at most of the popular dealers in Nashville/Franklin. I first started at Mazda and after I almost moved forward with something else and felt in my gut it didn't make sense financially, returned to Mazda. I felt so much peace and ease staying in the Mazda family - especially with the Nelson team - after going out and seeing how shady and demoralizing other places can be. I also couldn't get myself to move out of the Mazda 3 and ended up staying with it and buying a 2025 Mazda 3 only this time in my favorite color - their beautiful soul red. I am 9 months in and absolutely love my car, she just did her first road trip up through Indiana to Michigan and back (1,600 miles) and is so fun to drive. I am here today for my second service appt. and they have been tremendously helpful with any support I have needed. The red paint is thinner so I either hand wash my car myself or pay to have it hand washed. Nelson does offer free car washes to all its customers, which is an awesome perk. It has chipped some in the front, so I wish I had paid for the PPF coating - I had went somewhere else for a ceramic paint protection and not sure it was as effective. All in all, I plan to stay in the Nelson Mazda family for a long time! Love their culture and approach!

Great car buying experience until they have your money…read more While I was closing the deal in the finance office my car was back in the detail shop getting scratched. It was then delivered to me with a huge scratch which the sales advisor tried his hardest to not call attention to while screwing in the license plate (photo attached). I then waited several days to hear back about them addressing the scratch and items on the We Owe that we discussed in the deal. I called in and was told my sales advisor would call me back... nothing. I called back in 2-3 days late later and my sales advisor actually calls my back. Asks what day I would like to schedule to bring the car in. I recommend some days and he tells me he will get with service and let me know. 2 weeks go by. I called in. He apologizes and tells me service was supposed to call me, but didn't. The day before dropping it I am coordinating with my sales advisor to get a loaner while they have the car as it is my wife's car and she is pregnant. After a lot of back and forth I am told they will address 3 things and have a car ready for my wife 1. Fix chips in the windshield 2. Fixes the scratch they made while detailing the car 3. Install a trailer hitch. When my wife shows up in the service bay they tell her they don't know who she is AND SENT HER TO THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP, as the car we purchased was a Subaru. The service advisor as Subaru had to get everything figured out before sending her back to the Honda dealer. She is told there is no loaner car ready for her and they would not be fixing the windshield that visit as promised. They take an hour to get her a car and then we don't hear from the service advisor all day. He leaves early never updating us that they would have the car another longer than expected. I called in before service closes and find out that they didn't finish the work on time and they might charge us for the extra day of the rental they put my wife in. A sales manager finally agrees to cover the rental and also since they will have the car on a Friday. When their key guy is there, they will also make the key copy that was also included in the We Owe when we made the deal. We show up Friday, car is still scratched and no key was made. Sales manager kept interrupting me and not letting me talk when I was explaining all this to him. They have truly NEVER delivered on anything they have promised and I have had to initiate every communication. Should have bought from Subaru.

I told the sales person that I would like to bring my wife back in a couple hours. My only ask was for them to wash the vehicle since it was very dirty. The salesperson said he was going to take it personally himself immediately to get it cleaned up. When we returned for our second scheduled appointment, the vehicle was still filthy, they asked me to text them when we were on our way. I texted them that we would be arriving in 15 minutes. Once again no one around to help, we left and went to another dealer. Our sales person was literally hiding (I could see him and he saw me twice, the front Desk called him and he said he could not come to the front, I saw him again. It appeared he was not doing anything, but I could be wrong. He would not return text messages, which was his preferred method of communication. The GM is very nice and helpful, but a lot of staff was not friendly and probably sales is not the career for them. I could go on and on, but I'm not trying to complain, just sharing our experience. Most people only do reviews when they have an amazing experience or a bad experience. Unfortunately, this was not the greatest, but the end of the day I did get a sweet car, they just shouldn't be that difficult to buy a car.
