I dropped off my Honda Pilot for a recall in Darcars Honda of fairfax, and they assured me they would call once the recall was completed. However, the service advisor, Samar Yousif, never contacted us. We had to follow up ourselves to confirm whether the recall had been completed. When I picked up the vehicle in the evening, it was left dirty, with scuffs on the dashboard. The odometer clip wasn't even secured. While cleaning the dashboard and odometer, I noticed dust and a small white piece inside, indicating they had tampered with it. I returned to the dealership to explain the situation, but they showed no concern. Samar Yousif then brought over her service manager, Herson Hernandez. He walked back and forth with his hands in his pockets and asked, "What's going on?" I responded, "You should already know since she brought you here." He dismissively replied, "Oh, we didn't do anything, and we're not going to fix it." Instead of addressing the issue, he started arguing with me and simply handed me the key. I believe service manager Herson Hernandez and his colleagues need better customer service training, along with skilled and properly trained technicians. Honda headquarters needs to enforce stricter quality control over the dealerships that sell and service their vehicles. If customers are bringing in their vehicles for repairs or recalls, dealerships must be held accountable for any damage or issues that occur during the service. Based on this customer service experience, I would not recommend Darcars Honda in Fairfax, nor would I recommend Honda vehicles, as they fail to stand behind their repairs or take responsibility for any damage caused to customers' vehicles. I can proudly say that this will be my last Honda vehicle and my last purchase from this dealership.

The salesman Leo is the most personable car salesman I have ever experienced. Unfortunately I didn't end up buying from Honda Bowie because it didn't make $ince, but I was will to pay more because of Leo's character. He is the guy you want!

Especially with this snowstorm which even though it was over 3-weeks ago now we still see the snow piled up and some roads still not plowed correctly. So with all that being said I knew it was time for me to look into getting a small SUV as my little Hyundai Veloster was not cutting it. So I set up a time and went out there when the roads were halfway done and still pretty bad. Now I already know I wasn't about to buy anything the day so I kept my attention up as I know they be trying to keep you hostage to get you to buy right then. So the young guy Brandon pulled out a close model of what I wanted as the actual GV70 model 3.5T was still snowed in. So we got in the vehicle and he explained all about it and I absolutely loved it! So much upgraded technology from my 2013 Hyundai. Now here where I was getting a little annoyed as they tried to finagle the numbers and get me to buy then as they could get the exact car I wanted delivered the next day. But I did not bite as I wasn't about to sign for anything the same day especially since I have to make comparison with other dealership. Why they only got 3-stars and thinking about actually 2.75 is because they keep calling me! I'm about to block the number because it's getting annoying. If you all want a sale STOP bothering me because that will make me go to another dealership! I definitely will be getting the GV70 3.5T black exterior with red interior on my own terms! Don't be pushy or you won't get the deal!

After doing my own research, I learned that replacing an IBU typically takes about 3 hours. Yet his car sat there for nearly two weeks. Communication was terrible. His advisor, Jessica, gave him no real updates. Three different times she told him the technician was out and she couldn't provide any status. No follow‑up, no accountability. Because of the delay, my son had to pay $280 out of pocket for a rental before they finally provided a loaner. Prior to picking up the car yesterday, June 1st, they told him he also needed a new battery, bringing the total to around $1,800. To make matters worse, they didn't even give him a receipt or itemized breakdown--just said the printer was down. Completely unacceptable. This experience destroyed our trust in this dealership. The lack of communication, the excessive delay for a repair that should take hours, and the failure to provide basic documentation show extremely poor service. My son was not treated like a valued customer at all.

I had recently just had my previous car totaled by the insurance company unfortunately and needed to get a new car. (RIP to my Nissan Versa) I researched the car and trim level/features I wanted and then found dealers in my state that had the specific car I was looking for. I then weeded out the dealers that had poor reputations online. Nissan of Bowie had a good reputation online and also had the cheapest listing online for the exact car I was looking for (a 2025 Nissan Sentra SV with Cold Weather Package.) I showed up and met a salesman named Perfection. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable and helped me through the whole process. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact car that was listed online available anymore but they were able to find one elsewhere and get it over to their dealership in a timely manner. Perfection and the sales manager were able to offer me a fantastic rate for the car and were very easy to work with. I did go visit another dealership before I pulled the trigger on the car at Bowie just to get a sense of what other places were offering and to get a little bit of leverage to negotiate. I did not have a good experience with the other dealership despite them offering me a slightly better price, about $200 less than what Bowie ended up agreeing to. The sales manager was very intimidating and not very friendly so I ended up going back to Bowie and we got a deal done. Perfection was very kind and patient with me as I struggled with several technical difficulties trying to fill out the paperwork and add the new car to my insurance. He managed to make the whole experience as stress free and easy as possible, given the circumstances. The sales manager was also very reasonable and was willing to work with me to get a fantastic deal. Finally I'd like to thank the finance manager, whose name I cannot remember unfortunately. He was fantastic and a really cool dude. I had difficulty making payment at first because my bank daily withdrawal limit was way below my down payment. It took forever to get my bank to raise the limit and then even longer to get the transaction to go through. He was incredibly kind and patient with me about the whole thing and I got to speak with him a little bit about life and past experiences and whatnot while we waited on hold forever with my bank to get their act together. (For those inexperienced at buying cars like I was, either make sure your bank cards daily limit withdrawal limits are high enough for what you plan to spend before you go to the dealership, or bring a checkbook or cash lol. Next time I buy a car I'm bringing my checkbook just in case as a backup anyway) In summary, if you are looking to buy a new car, Perfection and the whole team over at Bowie of Nissan will treat you right. And if they don't have the exact car of your dreams on the lot, they will work quick to get you that car and will negotiate in good faith to get you a good deal. PS if you drive for Uber or do Uber Eats currently and have done at least 50 trips you can qualify for discounts on a large number of different new cars!

The recommendations they gave me were grossly overpriced, so I chose not to have any repairs done. That part was fine -- what wasn't fine was the lack of basic care afterward. They removed screws from my car during the inspection and didn't bother to put them back. The technician also told me he would have the service team turn off the "tire maintenance" indicator. I didn't realize until I got home that they never did it. For the money I spent, the only thing I actually received was a "free" courtesy ride home. I had been considering trading in my car and purchasing my next vehicle from this dealership, but if the service department can't handle simple tasks, I don't feel confident trusting them with a major purchase. I'll be taking my business to another dealership.

I arrived at 7:00 AM when the service department opened, expecting that being one of the first customers of the day would help minimize my wait time. I normally take advantage of the valet service, but decided to wait at the dealership this time. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. I spent more than four hours waiting in the customer lounge for what should have been a routine service visit. What made the experience particularly frustrating was the complete lack of communication. My service advisor never provided an update on the status of my vehicle, an estimated completion time, or any explanation for the lengthy delay. I was left wondering what was going on for hours. The lounge amenities, including the coffee bar, bottled water, and snacks, are appreciated, but they do little to offset a four-plus-hour wait with no communication. If delays happen, that's understandable. What isn't acceptable is leaving customers in the dark. I've generally had better experiences using the valet service and would strongly recommend that option over waiting at the dealership. Based on this visit, I cannot say I had a positive service experience.

I purchased my car at Koons Toyota and after my first horrid service experience there, I swore never to step on their lot again. With my 10,000 mile service due, I found myself dragging my feet making an appointment because I didn't know which dealership to take it to. I read reviews online and with 1 star and zero star rants at every Toyota dealer in a 50 mile radius, I had lost all faith in getting my investment taken care of properly. Thankfully I decided to go to Toyota of Bowie! From the time I rolled in to the time I rolled out, I was pleased. My representative Lauryn educated me more about my car than my original sales rep ever did and she made sure that each one of my concerns was addressed. Besides being thorough and an absolute professional, I just really liked her! I'll bring my car to her without question every time it needs service. When my computer acted up again, I called and she had me bring it right back in. Yes, I had to bring it in a 3rd time too since the onboard programming issues are complicated but as I sat and watched staff moving about the service department, I witnessed staff reassuring customers about wait times and checking in on clients like caring family members. These are real people taking care of real people. You can see that they take the trust of their clients seriously around here. Yes, cars do things and when they do, it takes time out of our lives. It's annoying. If we take our cars to places where the staff is unhappy and disorganized, we're only more frustrated each time we go back to that environment. If more places took their cues from the professional and proficient staff in the service department at Toyota of Bowie, there would be a lot less frustrated car owners. I dare say, we might be happy to take care of our rolling investments.

The salesman was not knowledgeable about the business, the service offerings, the vehicle, or the process. Through casual conversation, he informed me that I could not test drive the car I was interested in because it was in the service shop for an axle issue that would be repaired within two weeks, so I believed him, and I proceeded to place a down payment to hold the car. 4 business days later, he called me and told me the car was fixed, then he said it was merely a recall issue, though there were no active recalls on the car. He proceeded to rush me through paperwork, and when I asked about a test drive, he said he would get the key and test it after I signed the contracts. At this point, it's late at night and just before closing. I immediately noticed the alignment was off. The next day, I required them to fix it. After they fixed it, and upon leaving, I immediately noticed a clicking noise coming from the driver-side axle. I decided to take the car to another Toyota dealership and get a second opinion. Turns out, the axle issue was never fixed, and they rushed the car out the door, which means the salesman "OTM" lied through his teeth. Luckily for me, both the car is in warranty, plus I bought the extended warranty. The car had low tread on the tires and no carpets, in addition to the steering and axle issues. Maryland State law requires used cars to undergo a state safety inspection when ownership transfers in Maryland, covering steering, brakes, lights, tires, suspension, and more, with the certificate valid for 90 days. They obviously did not comply. Let the litigation begin!

I originally scheduled service with Nissan of Annapolis, where I purchased my 2019 Ram 1500. Within 24 hours they called me back and said they did not have a technician available to diagnose my 4x4 issue and recommended I take the truck to Tony at Ram of Bowie. I brought the truck to Tony as recommended. Unfortunately, my truck sat at the dealership for four days without being inspected. I was later told the mechanic who handles the 4x4 systems was not available. After several days of waiting with no progress, I decided to pick up my vehicle and take it somewhere else. While I was leaving the dealership, a mechanic who was driving my truck accidentally hit another customer's vehicle in the lot. Thankfully the damage to my truck was minor, but the other customer's car was damaged. The situation was frustrating given the truck had already been sitting there for days without being looked at. I then took the truck to DARCARS Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of New Carrollton, where the issue was diagnosed in less than 20 minutes as a failed 4x4 actuator. However, because the repair was under an extended warranty, the approval process dragged out, and the truck sat there for another three days while the warranty company delayed authorization. At that point I was without my truck for several days and no one asked about transportation needs or provided updates on when the part might arrive. When an update was provide, they stated that the actuator was on back order and there was no ETA of when the part will arrive. Out of frustration, I took the truck to a local mechanic who ordered the actuator and installed it within 3 business day for $600 total (parts and labor). Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating. Between multiple dealerships, long wait times, lack of communication, and warranty delays, it ended up being faster and easier to fix the problem outside the dealership network. My advice to anyone purchasing a vehicle is to carefully evaluate whether extended warranty packages are actually worth the cost. In my experience, the process was slow, unhelpful, and ultimately did not resolve the issue. I won't be purchasing a warranty package for my next vehicle and strongly encourage those who are in the market for a new vehicle to strongly think wisely about the extended warranty.

Numerous shop fees that made no sense (e.g., hazard removal, quantity reimbursement). The report I received literally showed a price for repair based on an OBD-II test and a video of the splash guard. This is unacceptable. For $275, it should be clear how the mechanic spent the hour or so of time. Instead, the only proof I received of their work was a short video clip and a statement that no mechanical damage to the compressor was observed; that the damage must be internal.
