I am glad I did, because it was a good reminder why I chose this practice in the first place. I originally chose to go here by doing my due diligence and reading into the business and real life reviews, I really spent quite a bit of time vetting where I would go to change my smile permanently. This practice checked all of the boxes. They are very professional and kind. No pressure, no telling you that you need more than what you're asking for, they let you make your decisions and provide transparency with pricing. They don't send you automated spam texts for years after visiting and they treat people fairly. I'm very happy with Dr. Tenney's level of expertise and service-minded support. The office staff, dental assistants, neat & clean office and RESULTS are what has made their reputation so great. I actually had fun we laughed the entire time they worked on my teeth. And no I didn't have laughing gas. Dr. Schuerman has to be the coolest hippest most caring dentist I have ever met. She took her time, she explained what she was doing, she checked to see how I was doing. She gave me three shots and not one of them hurt. She was very professional. I knew I was wayyyyyyyy over due for work and searched for something close and, we'll, "modern." In the past I would wait for an issue, get it resolved, and skip all follow up. I searched for an office nearby, read some yelps and settled on Modern Dentistry off Talavi Blvd. From the first call to the receptionist she worked gently and confidently to reassure me that this was the place for me and felt certain I would know that from the start. I felt a lifetime of fear dissipate after my first long and grueling visit. They are ALL kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, non-judgmental and deeply experienced. If you have fears and neglected your teeth, I promise that ends here. I came a frightened, cowardly stiff but left after treatment having met a group of people I genuinely care about. I'm moving my whole family here for future care. Their treatment was thoughtful, and highly organized. Both times the staff has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed with their attention to detail. Dr Shahin has the ability to make your crown on-site the day of your appointment. The whole process takes 90-120 minutes and is so much more convenient than scheduling 2 appointments.

They told me that my claim was denied and they told me to so solve the problem myself with the insurance company. I called the insurance company, and the insurance company told me that an appeal had to be submitted in a specific format. And they were shocked that the dentist asked me to solve it myself. I told them that the dentist probably wouldn't do it. And they were shocked when I said that and said all the dentist are willing to submit appeals. I got back with the dentist and I explained to them that it need to be submitted in a certain matter that it needed to state that it was the first appeal and the dentist basically called me a liar. The dentist refused to follow the instructions that I gave him as submitted as an actual appeal even though I told him that I called the insurance company. I spoke with the insurance company and they told me that they did not have an appeal on file. She told me that she faxed the appeal and mailed it, and I told her that the insurance company told me that appeals aren't allowed to be faxed so no it wasn't done right. But it's me is that the dentist automatically put it on me and is refusing to to help me and resubmit it properly. He's refusing to even call the insurance company and find out why it wasn't seen as an appeal. So basically he doesn't give a damn about me as a person about me having to pay $700 out-of-pocket now out of the blue. So they told me that they've had other patients call before two so what they do is they put it on the patients to resolve the issue instead of following the procedure instead of calling and finding out how it can be submitted as an appeal and how we can show up as an appeal so maybe that $700 can get paid by the insurance and I don't have to pay out-of-pocket. It also tells me that maybe the dentist did work that he wasn't supposed to do just to get money from me because it's something that the insurance company is saying shouldn't have been done because there was no reason to do it. So no, I would not recommend this dentist. It's been a terrible experience because of this and then after I told him I wasn't going to come back to his office. After that, he adds insult to injury and says after deep thought we've decided that we cannot do business with you anymore. After I had already told him I wasn't gonna come back, so I'm the one who cut off the business but he has to again add insult in injury and give me a dismissal letter because I told him that his agent Vanessa was dismissive with me was rude with me. Roll off what I was telling her didn't give a damn what I was telling her about what the insurance company said. So he doesn't care all the Dennis cares about is what money he can make off of you, whether it's a service that needs to be done or does it need to be done.

Just like everyone I know, I dread going to the dentist mostly because as of late it has become a…read morelong process with much up selling of services that I do not think I need or the reason for my visit. This place changed my opinion of dentists in many ways. As you first walk you are greeted by Brandy who checks you in and makes it a great experience. On my first visit I met with JoAnna, the dental hygienist, she was extremely knowlagable and the cleaning was a breeze. After the cleaning, I met with Dr. Mack, she reviewed a plan with me for what I needed. At the end, I worked with Brandy on the cost. When I first walked in I assumed, based on past experience that I would leave questioning what was needed but I did not, I instead left feeling great and with an appointment to get two caps done. On my second visit, for the caps, I received the same great greeting and and didn't even wait, straight to the chair where I would spend the next 2+ hours. Debra, dental assistant, explained the process and got me setup. Dr. Mack then came in and started on the work, it was painless. If you have anxiety with needles or the drilling, don't, I didn't feel a thing. Thirty minutes later, they took scans and pics and set the machine to make the crowns. About an hour after that, the two crowns were cemented in. That's it, one visit and two crowns complete. The last place I visited in the valley took 3 visits for one crown. I have been to many dentists over the years and I have to say that Dr. Mack is in the top 2. I want to thank Dr. Mack, Debra, JoAnna, and Brandy for making this a great experience all the way. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist in the valley.
