I felt like I was eating at someone's house! I went pretty early so it wasn't crowded. The waitress was very attentive and gave me recommendations when I asked. The waitress time was good and the food tasted fresh! I had the chicken shawarma sandwich. Was a good size sandwich, and came with fries. It was very good. While I didn't love the fries , it was a good compliment to the sandwich. Although I was definitely full after the meal , I didn't want to leave without dessert. On a strip plaza with little parking. I ordered pick-up and when I arrived at the time grub hub/yelp online ordering told me to...the waitress said they couldn't find my order. Ended up waiting half an hour since I had arrived. This place is very unique and a great diverse option to Orlando's food scene. For me, the price point was high for what I received. It was one skewer of meat inside a generic white tortilla with a white sauce and big chunks of cucumber and lettuce. The meat was seasoned mildly, just wish the wrap was loaded for the cost at the least. The real winner here was the fries and kunefe. The fries were thick, but still crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It also came with delicious garlic sauce...in the tiniest container. Must try is the kunefe. Sweet and savory, crispy and cheesy. A delicious $5 snack/dessert. Total for just a wrap ($19.50) and dessert was about $26. My fav Mediterranean place is a spot in Maitland, loaded wrap on a fresh tortilla, only $13. read more

After a very long and fun day we were looking for something open late and we came across Daood Basha. We walked it at 11:30pm and we were warmly welcomed in and sat down. There were so many great looking options and we asked for recommendations and our waitress (which I believe was the owner) offered up an amazing platter with all of the sides. We stumbled upon this great place while shopping at the outlet mall. I have eaten a lot of Mediterranean food in my life and this is one restaurant I will never forget. The decor is beautiful and minimalist with seating for only 40 patrons. We were greeted and served by a lovely woman who was the only worker we saw. The food was delightful. We both had mixed shawarma wraps (chicken and beef) which came with fries which we substituted for a salad. The salad was lightly seasoned and delicious. The wraps were juicy and full of flavor. I have only good things to say about this place. Entering into the building, it was as if just a step up from a fast food restaurant. Not fancy by any means, but clean. Starting with the service, I really cannot think of a better place I have ever been treated with such respect and gratitude. The lady who was serving my family and I was absolutely the best. She was extremely attentive, let me try a sample of their delicious Moroccan tea, and I enjoyed it right down to the last drop. I accidentally dumped my bag on the floor, and the lady working rushed over to pick it up and dragged another chair from another table and placed it on the chair. I was so impressed! Then the food came. I got the chicken Shawarma and it was so incredible. I couldn't eat it all because they give you a bunch of food, but my family helped me finish it. Last experience was awful unfortunately. We walked in, weren't even greeted. We sat ourselves down, literally waited half an hour just to get a glass of water. When the water was brought, they didn't even give us ice, the water was warm.The chicken on the platter was overcooked, literally burnt. My salad tasted wilted. I really don't understand how they conduct business like this, I literally never have this type of experience in any other restaurant. We were looking for Mediterranean food near Millenia and found this restaurant. It was not busy at 6:30pm on a weekday and we were able to grab any table we wanted. The restaurant only serves bottled water, $2/each, but we had brought our own. We ordered the meal for 2-3 people. It came with appetizer of salad, hummus, and pita. The salad was refreshing, and I love the lively lemon vinaigrette! The hummus was excellent as well. The drizzle of olive oil and side of paprika really elevated the dish. Next came the main course with 2 kafta, 2 beef, and 2 chicken kabobs served on a HUGE platter of rice with grilled onions and tomatoes. The kafta and chicken were cooked well and had a nice char flavor to it. The rice was wonderful as are the vegetables. However, the beef was dry and overcooked. However, we were happy with the meal overall and had plenty of leftovers to go. TLDR; nice Mediterranean restaurant with very generous portion sizes that can feed plenty of people. Being of Arab descent, this was the worst shawarma I've ever eaten. We got 2 beef wraps. They were in tortilla bread? They came out 10 min apart and were room temperature. The meat was completely unseasoned and chewy, the veggies weren't fresh, no parsley, no house made sauces, just out of the bottle tasting sauces. The fries were the best thing on the plate.
