Madeline was our server, and her recommendations were spot on--attentive and with a great knowledge of the menu, which is always appreciated. Service: 10/10. We remember that over a year ago we were served by Unal and he was very kind. It's clear that the entire team is very well trained. We always want to come back because we love their food and their Turkish wines. We always finish with Turkish coffee. This came highly recommended to me in regard to Turkish food and it did not disappoint! We stopped by and for an online order after a day at Universal (which is a literally 7 minute drive away), and they were very on time with the order and the workers were super friendly. We got the hummus appetizer of course, which was refreshing and delicious with fresh-baked naan pieces. There were so many yummy-sounding entrees that it was difficult to choose. A kebap was what we went with and it was so delicious, with strong tomato flavor and perfectly cooked meat. Inside the restaurant was also super cute and fun so I'll definitely be back to dine in. Located in a pretty busy area. Specially during lunch hours. It's my first time here. I came with a large group of coworkers. We were seated right away. Our servers were very polite and attentive. It was so good I'll be back this week with family! Everything was wonderful. Ordered the lavas and the cacik (cold cucumber dip) and it was phenomenal--the portion was large and bread was so pillowy and warm. The cacik was fresh and flavorful and paired perfectly with bread and my cocktail of choice. There was a little wait between receiving my drinks and app but it was all forgotten when it came out lol. The chicken sis kebab was also yummy--chicken was well seasoned and juicy, the rice was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. Is 10 stars an option?! We lived in Orlando for quite some time, and used to love to go to this restaurant's location in Winter Park. It was delicious and so flavorful- the food was always amazing... so would their Dr Phillips location be just as good as we remembered all those years ago?! Yes! I was in town on a work trip and was staying at a hotel on Universal property. Upon seeing this nearby, I was so excited and knew I had to make it over for dinner while in the area. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the sweetest man! He took us to a nice booth immediately, and told us our server would be there shortly. This was a very warm and hospitable welcome from him. Our waitress appeared almost immediately to ask about drinks. I ordered a glass of wine from Turkey and we also got some Turkish sparkling mineral water. We ordered falafel appetizer, lavash, and their mixed meze plate. The falafel we're perfectly cooked and had great flavor and texture. The mixed plate came with their homemade hummus, their homemade yogurt sauce, their homemade red pepper sauce, and a few others. The lavash bread was warm, buttery, and topped with sesame seeds for great flavor. Each dip was amazing - just when you think you've decided on your favorite, it changes with eat bite because they're all so amazingly flavor and delicious! For main course, we shared their beef and lamb kofta - served with carrot salad, fresh red cabbage salad, Turkish rice, and some sauce. Again - the flavors are just perfect. From the char on the meat, to all of the accompaniments, I could eat here at least three times a week! No room for dessert, but I cannot stress enough how delicious all of our food was. The staff, from the host gentleman when we walked in, to our wonderful waitress... this is such a great place. I'll be thinking about our experience here for months to come! Great food, great service, great ambiance! I dined here with a small group two weeks ago on a Tuesday evening. We made reservations at the last minute, and were easily accommodated. We started with the Mixed Appetizer ("a combination of Humus, Babaganoush, Sautéed Eggplant, Muhammara, Ezme, Tarama, Haydari and Zetinyagli Yaprak Dolma"), Lavas (baked-to-order bread similar to pita), and House Salad. This one is much much smaller, and the outdoor seating area is basically nonexistent. But the food is just as delicious and the ambiance is just as inviting. Get the mixed appetizer and lavash. You won't be disappointed. We always go and make that our meal and leave feeling full and satisfied but not overly stuffed. It's filling but light at the same time. The sauce that it was served with was very good. Falafel was a bit over cooked and a bit dry but passable if you are not familiar with this dish. Hummus and Muhammara were outstanding when paired with lavas. Sigara Boregi was very good but when I asked for a sauce I did not realize it would be 3.00 for a dip size portion. Prices are about normal for the economy. For some reason they would take our Master Card gift card which has been taken by every other restaurant in the surrounding area so if you are here on a vacation and receive these know ahead of time. Foodie adventures continue.. I love to eat diverse ethnic foods while traveling and have my kids experience foods we won't be able to explore at home. This night, we went Turkish. My kids had their reservations. But my rule is they need to try it at least once before they say they don't like it. Falafel - 4/5 - I liked it. My kids thought it was just ok. They are well seasoned and fried to a crunch. My kids did not like the dipping sauce that came with it. I liked it. Wasn't wowed by this dish. But I would consider eating it again. Fried liver - 4/5 You need to like liver to like this. Bc this tastes like liver punched you in the mouth. Lol. Not in a bad way. Just the liver flavor asserts its presence. You won't have any doubts if you are actually eating liver. They season the bite-sized pieces and fry it. It's served tossed with some fries. Has a slight crisp to them. I was surprised the kids ate more than one of these. They must have liked it to try it more than once. Lavas - 5/5 - so good. Great dipped in the sauces that come in the entree dishes. Also great with the babaganoush and humus. Or even on its own. It was even still great the next day with a quick zap in the microwave. It comes back to life with the same delicious chewiness it had when it was fresh. If they packaged this for you to buy in the supermarket, I would buy this on the regular. Select two appetizers - babaganoush/humus 4/5. These were good. The humus was fresh and delicious. The babaganoush needed a bit more seasoning. It was on the bland side.  Calamari - 4/5 very crispy. The kids picked this one. I found some pieces that were fried a little too long. The sauce it came with complimented it well. Lamb saute - 3/5  My kids identified this one as their least favorite. They each ate a bite and wouldn't have any more. I liked it, but the meat was a touch overcooked. The flavor was good, though. Mixed grill for two - 5/5 - the meats that came with this were all cooked to perfection. Well seasoned. The rice pilaf that came under it all was also delicious. This can easily feed 3. It's a lot of food. Special Beyti Kebab - 5/5 - my oldest son's favorite. It was very pleasantly flavorful and has a bit of a kick to it. This one is good. I will definitely be ordering this one again. Lamb shank - 5/5 very flavorful and tender. Falling off the bone. So good. Service was good. I am a huge Bosphorous fan! We have been to both the Winter Park and Dr. Phillips locations and loved our experience at both. The Dr.Phillips location was more quiet than the Winter Park location when we went and there is a good sized parking lot out front of Dr.Phillips. I love the ambiance inside and have been so impressed with the staff! Our waiter was wonderful! He was super attentive and very welcoming. We started with the Lavas and Muhamarra as an appetizer. I so highly recommend both of these dishes. The lavas is a huge, fresh piece of bread that is perfect for dipping into all of their dips. We really enjoy the Muhamarra which is made of red peppers. Great start to our meal! I love love love the Chicken Sauté with the cream sauce. I got it our first trip when they didn't have my first choice dish, and let me say I was so glad. It is delicious! The dish is full of chicken and vegetables and covered in an amazingly tasty cream sauce. There is a good portion of rice pilaf on the side and I loved mixing the two together. We were immediately seated even tho we had no reservation and the place already had a few tables going. Then along came Patty, one of the most intrusively annoying servers I've encountered in recent memory. Without allowing us to say anything after asking whether we'd been here (no), she launched into a five minute explanation of the menu, page by page. Totally unnecessary since I didn't ask for it nor do I need explanation for something I can already read and decipher myself. Meanwhile she let us know about the fat that it's happy hour from 4-6. Her little spiel came to an end once she said "as we say in Turkish: şerefe... cheers!" Well as I say in Turkish...Çekip gitmek (just kidding, folks...well, sort of)! Then quiet settled upon the land once again as we listened to the modern Turkish music playing overhead. We began, oddly enough, with no booze (too expensive even with happy hour) and went right to the food. Starter, you ask? Mücver, which is zucchini fritters. Three absolutely HUGE fritters, well seasoned and crisp. My one big criticism is their thickness and size; centers were still a bit doughy and undercooked. Five or six smaller ones rather than three HUGE ones would do wonders for these things. As soon as we finished with 'em, along came the mixed grill for two. Okay, a lovely fresh salad and a pile of rice on the large platter. Add two shish, two döner and two adana kebabs...lamb and chicken. Three and three made for a well seasoned pile of properly grilled kebabs. We barely had the chance to finish our app when the Big Platter Unit showed up. My other complaint is that Pesky Patty didn't pace out the courses properly. She originally asked whether we wanted our app first...well, yes!! As I thought in retrospect I realize that some Turkish people have the whole meal left on the table all at once. After all that, then it's tea and dessert. Well dessert to us is a waste of space. Baklava, ekmek, khadafe don't do my taste buds any favors. I like apple tea, but I'm not paying this kind of money for it. As it was, the check came to over $60 with no drinks, no lavash, no tea, no sweets. Another thing I didn't care for was the "electronic" check. Pesky Patty passed me the device and I was asked for the tip. I could add a custom tip (ie a big load of a tip or a lousy one) but with her standing there...sigh. The ONLY reason I bother giving four stars has to do with the entree and entree alone. It certainly was NOT for the intrusive, loud service. Nor was it for the undercooked mücver, nor the glasses of water which were NOT refilled ONCE. I personally think three and a quarter or three and a half stars is more like it.
