Our townhouse windows were in dire need of cleaning! We were tired of looking at bird poop! After calling Window Genie multiple times with no answer or return call, I decided to try Dan's after reading the reviews. They were booked about 6 weeks out, so I quickly grabbed the first available in July. The service technician, Jake, arrived about the middle of the 2 hour window. He was courteous and efficient. We appreciated that he took his shoes off without being asked. The ladderless system was impressive to behold. It reached our third floor windows as well. He removed the screens first and pointed out ones that needed repair, as well as window pane condensation. All the windows including the patio screen door were cleaned without streaking. Requested email only due to my work schedule - no calls. Disregarded request and called me - wonderful to get a phone call after I worked an overnight shift. Provided HIGH level detail of work needed on the "instant quote" which is NOT instant or realtime. Linda's response the next day was they would not "waste" their time as the minimum job is $150. How could they even estimate the job with limited detail? According to their website no job is "too big or too small". Huh. Their website lists handyman services, including "Plumbing Repair" as the third item on their bullet list of what they do. Requested estimate to install a new faucet. The response from Linda's email is "we don't do plumbing work". Maybe take a few minutes to update the website on job minimums and the actual services you provide so potential customers don't waste their time trying to contact you? These guys are top notch!! Our windows were sorely overdue for a cleaning, both indoors and outdoor. We moved into our house 2 years prior and were looking at gorgeous views of the foothills through the fog of dirty windows. Dan and his team were on time, responsive and professional. I contacted this company via their website and never heard back from them. Not exactly what we needed to experience

Dan replied quickly to my request for a quote and after I provided my address he was able to give me a price for cleaning the inside and outside of all my windows and wiping down the window screens and tracks. We scheduled the job about 5 days out which was convenient for me. Communications in the interim were very good including a reminder the day before the appointment. James and his wife Malayna arrived on time and began work immediately. They were thorough, very competent, and friendly; a pleasure to have here. The windows look great and all the tracks and adjoining woodwork are clean. Thank you James and Malayna; we'll look forward to seeing you again next time we need the windows clean. This is my third time working with this company. The first two times were subpar but I wanted to give them another chance. That was a mistake. I am not sure how the company exercises quality control with the people they hire. This has been an issue all 3 times I have used them, including yesterday. They showed up without texting first. I had to go through and look at all the windows after they said they were done. Half of the windows were not clean. They did not hose the screens down. The basement windows were left untouched even though I had paid extra to have them cleaned. Again. Then they used the excuse that they either couldn't open a window or the screen could not be removed. I grew tired of having to micro-manage and after they left I checked one of the screens upstairs they said the couldn't remove (which in their mind, gave them license to leave the window uncleaned) and sure enough, the screen came out no problem. Really? I've never seen a company that had more excuses not to do a good job. Both frames of the screens in the basement are now damaged. One is almost bent beyond repair. I heard one of the guys yell when they were trying to clean them so I knew something happened. Jeesh. Come on, guys. read more

The first time Dan's cleaned my windows a year or so ago, they did a great job. They sent two people, one worked inside the other outside. No problems. When they came back Friday, there was only one person doing the work. Without letting me know, he hooked up a hose inside my garage that leaked and flooded the floor of my garage, which had artwork on the floor. When he was done with the water outside and started cleaning the windows inside, he just left it running. He broke three of my screens and didn't clean the inside of one of my windows. He didn't tell me that he broke my screens, I discovered it after he left. I left email and voicemail and the company hasn't called me back. I'm disappointed to say the least. read more

Dan's Window cleaning did just an okay job. There was one window that did not get cleaned on the outside. Some of the screens were still dirty, Also, they used my hose to rinse the screens and left it on. I didn't realize it until the next morning when I saw water running down the sidewalk. They also used one of my kitchen chairs to stand on to reach the upper part of the window. Not really professional. read more

One caveat: I have not yet used Dan's Window Cleaning, but am a Realtor who contacted him about a quick window washing on a listing of mine that is closing in days. I used Dan's Window Cleaning a couple of years ago and they did an amazing job. I just used them this week, and once again was very pleased with the results. James and Malayna cleaned our windows and screens, did a wonderful job (no surprise) and were so kind! Due to the pandemic, we requested they complete the work while remaining outside (did not have them clean our interior windows). They were very accommodating with this "workaround," and we worked together to get the screens pulled out, and put back in. Once again, I am extremely pleased with the services provided, and the customer service was exceptional. This is the third time I've used Dan's since they are local and I want to like them. This is the final straw. They came and broke several small parts of my blinds and just left the pieces on the floor and in the bathtub. They did a really bad job on 9 windows and totally missed cleaning a screen. I asked them while they were up cleaning a window that is 20 feet high if they could dust the window sill - sure no problem, just brushed all the bugs and dust down onto the furniture below. Paid to have them dust a high ceiling fan, they had to borrow my ladder as they didn't have one that worked. Only dusted the top. I had to climb up after they left to finish the job. Called to have them come back to correct issues - in their defense, the day they originally came was very cloudy, so they may have had trouble seeing all the streaks and dirt they left. Came back. Cleaned the windows and then asked if they were acceptable, showed them additional dirt and finally had to climb the ladder and clean the a few of the windows myself. After they left, went out to get mail and noticed they left clumps of mud on my front porch and welcome mat - at least they took their shoes off and didn't track it in the house. Had to power wash my porch and mat a second time this week. When I pay over $400 for window cleaning, I expect professional window cleaners that have a pride in doing a good job, will tell me if they break something and will leave my house and porch as clean as when they arrived, not dirtier. read more

The windows are clean and look very nice. However, the workers tracked dirt through my entire house, even after my husband asked them to check their shoes. In addition, they did not replace the second story window screens in several rooms and left all the windows unlocked. read more

I was happy with the service until I tried to set my security alarm. I had to go through and check all windows because they were careless in closing then. Also they did not replace the screen on bathroom window which is too high for me to reach so had to ask for help in replacing it. Bottom line: I felt they were rushing it somewhat and were careless in making sure things were finished. read more

Did not have a good experience - workers stood on my couch to clean the window! And worse, I paid extra for the two basement windows to be cleaned - did not happen and would not reduce the price of those windows. And, most importantly, they left the basement window out - it was on the floor!!!! read more

I echo the sentiment of the July 1, 2016 post. Very rude, and when I mentioned to the owner a couple of concerns about the workers asking to use my home restroom, he asked if they did #1 or #2, wow. I was shocked. I simply was mentioning to him that I would not ask to use a clients home bathroom. I didn't even get to mention that I asked one worker to please not let the dirty squeegee drip onto the carpet (I watched it happen). After they left, I found a rag in my back yard by the dented screen that was not replaced (on a window I can't reach and have never removed). I called and left a message and no one has contacted me back. One worker mentioned a scratched upper window (one I can't reach) probably from steel wool and he reported it to the owner, but nothing came of it. One team member, Antonio, was very kind and tried his best to do the right thing at my home. read more
