Dan's food is very good and it's inexpensive it fills me up they have a meal for a big appetite I would recommend them have a nice day.

Haven't had better out of a diner ever. Everyone needs to try the fries. Any place that grinds their own burger is worth trying in my mind and I wasn't disappointed. Haven't had a bad meal in five visits. Breakfast or lunch is great. read more

This place is amazing!! Reasonably priced. Nice, attentive staff. The food is so good though, all very fresh. Best homemade soups and the best biscuits and gravy. I love this place, just wish it was open later. They close at 4, so you have to get there earlier. My favorite spot to eat! read more

Only thing I have had is their breakfast. One thing best about it is that you can choose hashbrowns or cheesy potatoes! Also they offer sauces to go over your omelette. And the cinnamon raisin French toast is great! I would recommend this place to anyone! Prices are reasonable. Would love to try their lunch menu. read more

Every time I go here the food is great, the staff is friendly, and the prices are cheap. The hand cut fries are a stand out for me since this is something that's rather rare for a Coney Island. I've only tried a handful of the items on the menu (today I've ordered my go-to grilled chicken sandwich and fries) but each time I venture out from my usual orders I'm never disappointed. I recently started working in the area and ached to find a place for lunch that would never let me down...Dan's definitely fits the bill. read more

My hands down favorite place to go for a burger and fries for lunch (get it medium, not medium well!!). The omelets are always good and they have both breakfast and lunch specials every weekday. Only breakfast specials on the weekend, I guess. The coffee is very good. And the servers are all A+. Not a bad one in the bunch. read more

Only rating Dans Diner a 2 because the food, prices and servers are great. However, it looks like the owner does not really care about the COVID precautions. Yes tables are 6 ft apart and servers are wearing masks. BUT the real concern is they are not using carry out condiments for the tables or paper menus. The servers have to wipe everything down after each table, which seems absolutely ridiculous! I've noticed the servers are overworked here. There is no bus boy/girl or hostess. Servers are pulling dirty plates from tables, but then serving food? There is no hostess that is seating people or instructing walk in carry outs. People are coming in and out with no mask. Someone should be at the door telling customers to wear a mask and seating people appropriately. Other restaurants I've been at during this time are well organized (bus boy/girl, hostess, paper menus, carry out condiments, etc) not sure what the thought process is behind this? Maybe trying to save money? Yes times are hard for business right now, but saving a few bucks isn't worth making customers feel uncomfortable or over working your staff. There needs to be better work process for these servers. If I was a server here (yes I have years of serving experience) I would not be working here! read more

If you don't have longer than an hour lunch break I would t recommend it. But the food is great and staff is awesome or at least most of them. Work about 2 minutes away so I usually have. The whole hour and by the time the food comes I usually have to end up getting a box and talking it with me, because there not a lot of time to eat once you receive it. read more

100 percent terrible. The server looked miserable to be waiting on us from the start. My first cup of coffee was luke warm and after waiting ten minutes I had to get up and go to the cashier to get a new cup of coffee that was actually hot. After ordering breakfast we waited quite a while for food I should have refused. My eggs looked more like a pancake than 2 fresh cooked eggs, the waitress was surprised when we requested the toast we ordered as it was not brought out, ever. The grits must have been instant as they were the worst I have ever had. I couldn't even eat them. The bacon was good though. The server asked how our meal was but didn't care at all once I told her. Made to attempt to make amends. Left very unhappy, will never be back. read more
