I have been going to Dans for the last 20 years and they never disappoint!! Today I brought my daughter's car in for service as it was not blowing cold. I expected the worst and was very pleased to find out it was a very simple repair. 20 years ago when I found Dan's I brought in our 4 year old minivan. First took it to a dealer who told me we needed a $1,400 new computer board. The real solution that Dans found was a bad relay, out the door for $100. Dan will be my auto AC Guy forever!!! read more

We have used this company more than once. No complaints. He has a warranty with the parts. A note though get the vehicle there early like 7:00 or so in the morning. Jimmy will see what is wrong with it and call you that same day and tell you how much it will cost and your car will be done that same day. read more

Can't say enough positive about Dan/s Auto Air! My 10 year old car A/C was intermittently blowing hot air only. Found them from online search after two auto mechanics could not diagnose the problem. Loved the fact it is a family owned business for 50 years. They are honest and straightforward; diagnosed the problem and replaced the compressor for a fair price with same day service with a 12 month parts and labor warranty. I called to see if they could charge my dash AC with Freon in Classic Winnebago and they didn't even let me finish just said no can't help you - didn't even define what I was looking for. F250 diesel. Lot of people don't like to work on them. Not at Dan's! I called ahead and he asked it be dropped off early. No appointment necessary. I got there an hour before opening, first in line. They opened like 5 minutes early and I was dropped off and out the door in less than 5 minutes. Jimmy was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He had me in-and-out same day. When I picked it up, he told me he services all the JEA trucks so he keeps stock of commonly replaced parts. I did hear him tell another customer that they don't fix repairs by other shops, so before you go somewhere else, go to Dan's. Do not hesitate to take your full sized diesel truck here! read more

For many years we've used your company for many of our vehicles. Also many family members and friends have used your facility as well. After today never again. My husband took his Jeep to have the air looked at because it stopped working. He's built this Jeep himself including the lift and much more. He was a mechanic in the army. He's worked in shops. He's replaced the entire air system and it stopped working. He comes to your shop and you refuse to even touch it because he's worked on it? The man he spoke to was horrible!! The man didn't want to speak to him at all. Do you understand what customer service is? Do you care about returning customers or the amount of friends and family we've referred to you? Also years we took my Dodge Magnum up there to have the air replaced after it quit working. The air worked great but they failed to put back the screws in the top of the dash and we had to spend more money to find out why. Never again!! Run from this place!!! read more

Dan's Auto Air is amazing. If you are looking for fast and friendly service from a place that values your business, Dan's is the place. This past summer my AC gave out. Whether you are a native or just passing through, you know that Florida heat and humidity is no joke. Per my uncles recommendation; because he and my whole family visit Dan's, I decided to call and schedule an appointment. Within just a few days, I went by and they diagnosed the issue within an hour. The cost for parts and labor were very reasonable. Two weeks later, my mom's GMC AC gives out. We dropped the vehicle off and within a few hours it was fixed. There was a minor issue of a clogged line that we didn't notice until a few days later- it could have easily been a new development after we picked up the vehicle. We took it back and it was flushed, free of charge. I worked with Jimmy throughout this whole process. He is very professional and thorough. These guys are the best when it comes to customer service and quality work. They are always upfront with you, and repair or replace what is broke, without trying to up-sale you on something you don't need. I have a small company and this is the only place that I will be taking my work trucks for repair from now on. I've learned my lesson with other companies (the expensive way unfortunately). The trucks I've taken there, have been fixed the same day. This is hugely important for a small business like mine, the less time a vehicle is down the better for my customers. I'm not complaining about the work but they really stuck it to me on the price. Charged me $850.00 to fix my rear condenser and recharge with Freon. I called three other places and they were between 400-500. What a waste of money. I even came in as a referral, them knowing about it but still robbing me. Not an honest establishment. Beware! When I took my car for repair, Dan and his crew diagnose the problem and offered me a reduced-cost solution. He provided me with the name and address of a company in Illinois which could provide me with a rebuilt part at an affordable cost. I procede to contact that company and, in a short few days, I had the part. A few days later, I was at Dan's to have it installed. I now have cold AC. I've been driving for years with no AC. I've been to the dealership in the past and was told that it's all in my head. I called at like 10 or 11am and that said they had availability that day... The owners were very nice and respectable. None of the workers even looked at me twice being a lady by myself. They called to give me the estimate quickly. They had it ready that day. It was well below what I've heard of others (with the same car) pay for their a/c compressor to be replaced. Once you get past the industrial neighborhood, they were totally great. No fluffs like a lounge and all, but that also keeps the prices reasonable. read more

When my car's AC stopped working recently, I called Dan's. They ask you to bring the car in from 7 - 9 a.m. and, depending on your vehicle, they can check it out while you wait I arrived a little before 7:00 a.m. and there were already a few other people waiting for them to open up. Fortunately they were able to check out my car quickly but unfortunately it was a bad compressor causing my issue. With a price quote more than I really wanted to spend, I was not eager to get the repair done right away. However, I know the price was fair and I greatly appreciated there was no sales pressure. I left with my written quote along with the promise that the $25 AC check fee would be taken off the bill if I decided to get the work done there. After driving just a couple more days with no AC I brought my car back to Dan's to drop off for the repair.No appointments needed, just come by between 7-9 a.m. for same day service. Again at 7:00 a.m. there was a line of perhaps a half a dozen people waiting to bring their cars in for AC checks and repairs. Everyone was super nice and helpful and by about 2 p.m. I had a call that my car was ready for pick up. I did not think to ask about a warranty but my impression is that Dan's is an honorable place and so far my AC is working just perfectly. I would recommend Dan's for your auto AC needs and hopefully I will not need AC repair services again anytime soon, but if I did I would go back. read more

Heard they were the best in town and several friends had recommended them. MY EXPERIENCE WAS QUITE DIFFERENT. My air wasn't getting cold. within 5 mins of pulling into the garage they test drove my car to make sure everything was working. The air was nice and cold. My bill was 100.00 for 5 minutes of service. I wondered how that could happen so quickly. I was told that it was a certain relay switch (basically a fuse). after leaving i looked up the issue on YouTube and saw that it was a quick replacement. I called the local auto parts store and the part only cost 13 bucks. I called Dan's back and asked why their part was so much more expensive. I was told that their replacement was with a genuine factory part. They suggested that I call the dealership to verify the price of the part, which I did. It was indeed 75 dollars from the dealership for the Factory part. Once i got home I popped the hood and looked at the relay switch and checked the part number. Not only was it a part designed for a different Make and Model car, it was a relay switch numbered for the horn and not for the AC (which is what it was being used for in my vehicle.) I called Dan's and mentioned my discovery, namely that the part they put in was for a different car and for a different function and not a Genuine factory part for my car at all. They seemed a little surprised that I would actually have taken the trouble to do the research. I asked if I could return the part and get my money back (because they advertise free diagnosis and a free quote (which is what this would have amounted to) After returning the part, I was yelled at by the owner who pointed aggressively in my face and was told NEVER TO COME BACK. Don't worry, I won't! I was nothing but pleasant and was simply inquiring about the work that was done and prices i was being charged. It would have been easier to say that they simply replaced the part with a switch they had in the back to save me money and now I have cold AC and charged me 50 bucks. They tried to be greedy, which came back on them. They had several opportunities to apologize when it was brought to their attention, but didn't . They obviously didn't like being caught in their less honest behavior. All customers want is honesty. When you make a mistake or aren't quite as honest, you should have the humility to clean up your mess. I was VERY disappointed. read more
