Do not waste your clothes or your time. TL;DR: On a recent occasion, she ruined my $600 coat, and on another, assumed I was pregnant and told me my belly is getting really big. Spoiler alert: 1. That was my favorite coat, and 2. I am not pregnant. Her cleaning was mediocre at best beforehand, and I only went to her because she's two blocks from my house. The coat: I asked to have some seams closed that opened at the elbows and pockets. Instead of maintaining the current seam, she added 4-5 rows of stitches onto the outside of the coat in multiple locations, which added this poorly executed design that looked like you asked a child to sew a patch onto something. She tried to justify it, and eventually gave me my money back after I pushed her for a resolution, but now I have to pay to take it elsewhere to remove the stitching and then actually fix the ruined coat. This was completely unacceptable, and if they felt they couldn't maintain the seam, then they shouldn't have agreed to fix it. Assuming I'm pregnant: I went to drop off several items of clothing for cleaning, and one of the first things she says to me is "oh your belly is getting so big!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I replied saying "what?" She doubled down and said "your belly is growing so much, you're pregnant right?" When I said "no, I am not pregnant," she says "oh you're not? Oops, sorry, sorry, sorry," as if she were pretending it didn't happen. It's 2023, don't comment on womens' bodies, especially if you're expecting business from them and you don't actually know them! I've never had someone say that to me before, and I left fighting back tears. I wasn't planning to go back to her, but thought I'd give her another chance, and then she ruined my coat. Let's just say I won't be going back ever again. read more

Reasonable service for the price. Friendly serve. Clothes done in a timely manner. Centrally located .

Martha is always very friendly and service is prompt and professional. One time in washing my tux, she spotted a small blemish and called to ask if I wanted it repaired before my wedding. She obviously cares tremendously about her community and has pictures of her customers up on a board behind the counter. Danny's Cleaner is very convenient for the residents of Noe Valley, just around the corner from Philz. I highly recommend Martha's service and professionality. read more

Martha from Danny's Cleaners is so amazing! Very helpful and finished a dress alteration I had perfectly and very quick for the short notice I had requested. Very friendly and I use them now for all my alteration and dry cleaning needs! Highly recommend. read more

I go here for all my cleaning needs. It's a bit pricey but it's at par with others in the area. The good thing about going to this cleaners is that they have a loyalty card so you can save some money after a few rounds of visits. I love that benefit. I usually save $5 after a few trips. No one else in the neighborhood offers similar loyalty benefit (at least that's what I think). There is a little bit of a language barrier with the staff but it is not too bad. Parking is on the street. read more

Martha is the absolute best! I won't take my dry cleaning anywhere else! Love this place.

I wasted my money here so you don't have to. The clothes I had dry cleaned came back fine. That part seems to be alright. She's very friendly when things are going smoothly. But. My jacket zipper busted open. She fixed it here, but it broke again. When I took it back she zipped it up and was like "see? It's not broken." I didn't know how to respond to that gaslighting. The jacket actually stayed zipped for a day or two, but alas, it was still broken. I came back again and she zipped it up 3 inches and declared that it wasn't broken, then that it couldn't be fixed, then that it would cost $45. Not sure how all of those things could be true at the same time. She looked at me like I was trying to scam her (even though she didn't ask my name to verify that I'd been there with that jacket), but -- if I may sound like an 8 year old-- it takes one to know one. I understand I'm not entitled to anyone's free labor. She has the right to charge people for shoddy work and then deny it. But you have the right to go on Yelp and decide where to spend your money, and I hope you think twice before coming in here. read more

It's hard to know where to go to get your boyfriend's shirts steamed and pressed, you know what I'm saying? Never really had to do that before. But then again, neither was I ever very proficient at ironing myself. So. I chose pretty much at random, and the only variable I considered was the proximity to home. Danny's is not cheap, and not very good. The women are sweet as can be, and I enjoyed my conversation with them both at drop-off and pick-up. But when I inspected the work, I couldn't help but make faces. Old wrinkles gone, new wrinkles created! They singed some of the collars, and dulled some of the patterning on a couple of shirts. Must've been hot in that ironing room! Not the best service. But maybe my expectations are too high? read more

This is solely based on the seamstress. Last week I had to go to a "Madmen" themed Christmas party. Bought a dress the day of the event from Salvation Army. I don't really know what I was thinking when I bought a size 6 dress but as far as I could see there were no dressing rooms to try it on. So I looked at it on the hanger and think... 'I'll just get some shotty last minute alterations on it..I'll never wear it again.' Go to Dannys and ask the lady if she can alter it. She says sure, try it on. When I come out, I am swimming in it! They ladies start laughing - I start laughing too. (I am a size 0-2) She starts pinning it very quickly. Then I drop the bomb...."I need in in done in 4 hours!" dun dun dun..... She looks at me like I am damn crazy! She even stutters..."4 hours??!!" I say..look, if you do a crappy job..I will never wear this dress again. Just make it look somewhat decent, I wont complain. It's only for a party. She says ok, $30. (double the cost of the dress) My stomach turned a little. Did I seriously just pay that much for this stupid dress, for a christmas party??! 4 hours later, I go pick it up, take it home and put it on. *MAGIC* I tell you. This woman tailored this to my body perfectly. How could this be? She pinned it in less then 2 minutes while stressing out because she thought I was nuts. It was like I bought this dress just for my body. Seams were perfect, liner was perfect..fit like a glove. I looked and felt great at the party! This Ann Taylor dress is now one of my favorites.. I don't think I will ever throw it out. I should go back and give that lady a kiss. Maybe it was luck- or that she truly is just an amazing seamstress. Thanks Danny's Cleaners!! read more

Very lucky to have discovered Danny's Cleaners. Not only do they do a fantastic job with my clothing, but when Martha is there, it's always a pleasure to stop in. She's just a fantastic person, always a kind word, and I know my clothes are well taken care of when she's manning the store. Aside from the excellent customer service, I really like their loyalty program. It doesn't take long at all for your card to fill up and then presto: $5.00 off! read more

After making the mistake of taking our clothes to the local Laundromat, (we had to spend an extra 30 minutes at home washing out chunks of grime and powdered soap from our entire wash), we decided we might give the local 'wash & fold' a try. We were new to this whole "drop off your clothes and pick them up later" business as we had always had a washer and dryer at our disposal (and weren't used to the fact that a washer and dryer in one's apartment was a rarity and luxury here in the city). It seemed a little odd at first, but I got over this uncomfortable feeling real quick after picking up our perfectly washed and folded load. Pure perfection. Who knew that that many clothes could be so properly folded into such perfect shapes and sizes? Not I! At first the price seemed a bit high, but for ease, convenience, and overall quality of the returned clothes, it is WELL worth it. And in tight situations when we have needed our clothes quickly washed and returned, Danny's Cleaners has been willing to expediate the process at no extra cost. Five stars without a doubt. read more

2 loads of wash and fold laundry for over $80! You've been warned.

"The Customer Is Never Right" Never Yelped before, but opened a Yelp account especially for this. These guys ruined a favorite shirt. Rust colored stains all over the front of the shirt. Stains also inside. When I drop off clothes at cleaners, I go over each article with them for this reason. They think I am lying and spilled food on myself while I was eating, then opened my shirt and spilled food on he inside. It is a button down shirt and also has the stain on the panel where buttons are. I must have rubbed some food there when I was opening it up to put food on inside? They think I am a liar but I know their machines accidentally ruined my shirt. These things happen but there unwillingness to acknowledge their potential liability stinks. Will never go there again. Know that if something happens to your clothes, it's your fault... read more

This place is not cheap to begin with, but when they overcharged me by nearly $10, I decided "never again." The woman pointed at her computer and shrugged her shoulders as if there was a ghost in the machine, but the plain truth is that she overcharged me. It's funny how her English got a whole lot worse when we got in an argument about it. I left with a refund but no apology, so **** them. There are plenty other dry cleaners in the neighborhood. read more

Avoid this place, as there are much better dry cleaners in the neighborhood. Many times I suspect they haven't even cleaned me clothes but only steamed them. Also, it routinely takes them 2 weeks or more to get my clothes back. read more

50 dollars to buy a nice white dress shirt 3 dollars to ruin it here I should have read the yelp review for this place before I dropped off clothes here. My white dress shirt came back with spots on the side and on the back. What bothers me even more is that they had the gall to charge me 3 dollars even with these spots, and the ladies got snappy at me when I started asking them about the spots. I made a yelp account solely for this reason. I highly advise anyone not to come here. read more

Nice. Quick. Close to my house. Frequent cleaner discount card. Sweet

They do a fine job cleaning, especially since they got a new pressing service that doesn't leave a big dent steamed in below the belt line. The problem is that their opening hours are fantasy. 3 times I have shown up on my way to work at 7:30 and three times I have left at 7:40 without them opening. It's frustrating. read more

I had a very very poor experience here. I dropped off 13 items and when I came to pick up my dry cleaning there was only 12 after discussing with the lady at the counter she said she must have miss entered something on the receipt. When I got home I realized it was my black scarf that I was having a dry cleaned that was missing. I drove back immediately to inform her, she found the scarf was balled up in a basket and hadn't been cleaned. She said they didn't clean it because it had a hole in it which I understand but if I had not been diligent about what was missing my black scarf would be gone. I gave the store a second chance and dropped off more clothes which included two pants that I need the hem fixed for. But I picked up the clothes and got home to take them out of the bags the hens were not fixed and I paid for them. I returned to the store and was told that I did not pay for that I only paid for them to be cleaned. Very poor service I was excited because it's close to my house but after two bad experiences I won't be returning! First yell review I have ever written read more
