Grilled cheese kids
Lizeth S.

My kid was craving a grilled cheese, and I saw that this place had one so we gave it a try. I will be honest, he did not care for his grilled cheese because it's more of a calzone so I ended up getting him a pepperoni pizza instead. Not only was service outstanding, the place itself was pretty cool. But let me tell you about the star of the night, the honeybee pizza! Whoever invented putting local raw honey on pizza is my taste buds hero. It was suggested by my waiter and I am so glad that I listened. Can't wait to come back.

Garlic bread arrived just in time.

Our family of six was traveling, packed into a five passenger vehicle when we arrived late in Sandusky, as our one- and three-year old were tired and hangry. Danny Boy's was the perfect spot in that moment. Festive ambiance, welcoming staff, and delicious food served quickly. Those seated at the well-appointed bar seemed like friends, like family, just like at the movies. Thank you, Danny Boys.

Loved this place. Easy parking in a plaza style lot. We were seated immediately (on a Saturday night) with a choice of indoor or patio dining. We sat at a high top table in the main area. Our server was very quick and attentive. The theme of the restaurant was Frank Sinatra - so much to see! I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had a woogie. It was a combo of a calzone and Stromboli. We both LOVED our food. Mine was enough for a second meal the next day. We don't live close but will absolutely return next time we are in the area.

Food was delicious and fresh. The service was consistent and attentive. It was a nice and clean restaurant. It wasn't too busy when we got there.

We were very happy with our take out from Danny Boys. The establishment is huge & located directly off Route 2 on Route 250. We opted for this pizza while staying at Kalahari. We were satisfied with our choice! The pizzas were served up quickly & they were delicious! This is a great alternative to paying $50 for a basic Kalahari pizza!

We went at 9pm and had missed the crazed dinner rush. Prices are up there but it's right next to all the hotels. It was warm inside, A/C seemed maybe on overdrive or too many people in there for dinner. Our server was great. We ordered a medium pizza NY style, it was 8 slices but the slices were very small like kids size and the pizza was small maybe a 6" diameter for 22.49 (we ordered pepperoni but got cheese); Angel hair with meat sauce (big portion, very good) but the bread knot was hard, inedible. The pizza was melty hot gooey cheese with some sauce on top and garlic flavor, it was very good.

Pizza with the Old School crust

Danny Boys did not disappoint. The menu selection was varied with lots of options to customize your meal. The Build Your own pasta was yummy, as was the pizza. We tried the Woogie and it was delicious! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be going back.

Great food every year that we visit with NHRA! I loved the appetizer of the fried zucchini! Their food is also great.

If you're craving a juicy burger and/or tasty wings while in Sandusky, Main Street Tavern…read moredefinitely has to be on your list. We came during peak dinner hours and waited ~20 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. The place isn't too large, and given how good the food is, I can see why there could be a wait. We decided on the jalapeno poppers (June special), onion rings, lemon pepper wings, and two burgers with fries (BBQ ranch jalapeno burger - June special, Hot N' Spicy burger) all to share. Plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids to share! We all agreed everything was delicious. The poppers come out super hot, so definitely wait a little to bite into them. Onion rings perfectly cooked and crispy. Wings were plump and had good lemon flavor to them. Both burgers were juicy, but of the two enjoyed the Hot N' Spicy more. Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is available in a small lot directly next to the restaurant or along the street.

She let us know what they were known for (wings and burgers and their rotating specials) and gave my indecisive mind plenty of time to figure out what I wanted. Everything sounded so good! We settled for the golden bbq wings and classic pretzel bites for appetizers. The wings were great and that sauce was delicious! Wish we could find something similar in Seattle. The pretzel bites were good but we were already getting full. He got the Uncle Charlie burger which he liked but said it was a bit messy. He also said the maple sauce on it was unique and a little overpowering. I built my own burger and kept it simple with mayo, lettuce, grilled onions and cheddar. It was really good but I wish I didn't get so full on appetizers so I could finish it. I really liked the pickles that they served as a garnish. A little sweet and spicy action going on. Also the fries are hot and crispy and some of my favorite I've had anywhere. I wish this gem was in Seattle. It seems like a great place to grab a seat at the bar and watch sports on their televisions. They also have some tables available if you want to sit there too. I also liked that one of the tv's showed pictures of their specials. I wish I could go back and try some of their other items. The wraps and sandwiches looked really tasty and I love the uniqueness of some of their combos. If you're in the area and want some delicious food served with a friendly smile, stop in. You won't be disappointed.
