Danny Barber Shop - Scalp looks like this after haircut and also scabs and cuts on the back of my head. - Barbers Near Me - Long Beach, California

My boyfriend went in for a haircut, and the barber, Luis, didn't give him what he asked for. The haircut was uneven, the fade wasn't blended properly, and there were noticeable notches in his hair. He also rounded the back edges higher up than usual. Overall, the cut did not match what my boyfriend asked for. read more

I requested a high skin fade, and I don't trust just anyone with this service as I am very particular about how it looks. This was done fast and professionally, and even included straight, razor, shave at the shortest length. This place had a homie and comfortable vibe, definitely a local spot that deserves praise and attention. They are so good, they even cut my five-year-old's hair with ease. We love it and will absolutely go back! read more

Danny Barber Shop - This is a high skin fade complete with straight razor that cost me only $25! - Barbers Near Me - Long Beach, California

Lalo is a good barber I always make an appointment and he is very punctual and flexible. It's a very busy barbershop so making the appt for 5 bucks is worth it! read more

Some of the barbers are homophobic NOT really LGBT friendly the guy by the exit in the back is super rude and he's always in a rush he's also super aggressive when he's cutting your hair he's super RUDE read more

When I asked for a TAPER they gave me a fade instead and cut to much hair off thr top and the guy that apparently that's been working there for 10 years can't even cut the hair good or how the customer wants it read more

Trash attitudes and trash cuts. I dont have much else to say. They messed up my simple fade that I asked for and when i asked them to fix it, they said it would be another charge equal to a full cut. read more

I used to come to this place because back then they had a good service. You left from there happy and with a nice and clean haircut style. Nowadays, the last three times I've been here everything has gone wrong. My first bad experience was when a novice guy literally almost cut my neck, and I didn't complain since it seems he was new, so I was like; okay, breath!!! He is learning. Now, I went back last weekend and I got the same sloppy service but from a different barber, what's wrong with them? Why they start cutting hair without previous experience or at least without being careful. It's skin, not leather or wood. They keep cutting your hair until the point you bleed and next day you have scratches all over like if you fight with a cat. Never going back again. I can't handle it anymore. Stay away from new barbers here if you can, or find a better place. read more

Damnnnnn Don't even get me started with this place! I went here a couple of times it wasn't that bad they gave a good haircut a couple of times. But the one near the back door I don't know if it's still the same person or a different person that use to give me a haircut but Damn he was really harsh when giving me a haircut! He look like he was rushing and being hella aggressive! Don't go to the person near the back door! read more

I went around 11am and I made an appointment for 5 0'clock pm and as I sat down waiting for the barber to finish, he then got another client and sat him down and started cutting his hair. I got up and spoke to the receptionist and told her I had an appointment at 5pm and she said "yeah you got here late". I got there at 5pm and waited patiently for 20 mins to be next, to be skipped. They need a new receptionist and honestly worst service by far. This was gonna be my first time and honestly I'd say my last. Due to them being so unorganized i now have to attend a wedding without a haircut. If I could rate this 0 stars I would have. But it won't let me. So don't think I put this 1 star because I wanted too. But because I have too.. read more

Danny Barber Shop - Worst service - Barbers Near Me - Long Beach, California

This is my spot for many years. A bunch of great barbers. They are friendly and there is a cool vibe. COVID protocols are in effect. All doors open for max air flow. Masks are mandatory and there is plexiglass between chairs. read more

Danny Barber Shop is one the few shops in the Long Beach area that cuts hair on Sundays. I was in dire need of a haircut and Danny Barber Shop came to the rescue. Fully staffed, reasonably priced, in and out in a short time. The barbers make sure you get the hair cut you want. This barber shop also takes appointments but will charge extra for them. This is a cash only place. Neares cross street is Atlantic Ave and South Street. While most barbers are closed on a Sunday Danny Barber Shop is open to those that are pressed for time and live busy lives. Highly recommended. read more

Ever since my sons very first hair cut a year ago, I've been bringing him in & this places hasn't failed! I just got back from his hair cut & I absolutely love how Danny (i believe that's his name) cut his hair! He did a very nice & quick job! If you're coming during the weekend, expect a wait, as for a lot of guys tend to come in for their haircuts on the weekend! Will be coming back soon read more

Unfortunately, I will have to change to a new barbershop, it's been too many times I walk in waiting 20-30 mins (after they write my name up), with barbers visibly just chilling, like I understand if you were waiting on an appointment, but that wasn't the case from the looks of it, no organization, no customer service, waste of time. (Sorry Mario, wish you the best brother, only reason I kept going to this place) read more

Always a clean cut with danny boy. I would recommend you try anyone at the shop as they are all pretty good barbers. See who cuts you up the way you like. The wait is expected for any good barbershop. You won't be disappointed, great service, fair prices. read more

Literally just walked out this place 2 minutes ago. My husband has walked out before for the long waiting period. We drive here from Compton because the guys cut good hair(75%of the guys). The others are too slow or too busy chit chatting on their cell phones or texting. My son, husband and I waited for almost 1 hour.....its ridiculous how one as a customer walks in, waits their turn but then the freaking guy that walked in 2 minutes ago gets the chair.....WTF is that!!!!!!!! Oh cause he had an "appointment", yeah right give me a freaking break. I wasn't born yesterday!!!!! This has gotten worse and worse with the years. I think "appointments" should not be an option here especially on Sundays. It should be first come first serve. This incident disappointed me so much today that I had to yelp it.....my husband is not a new customer, he's been giving them business since their days in Paramount. The guys know him and my son by his nickname, it just sucks that this keeps happening. Love this place but who knows how long it'll be before we return. read more

Johnny, man you were a disappointment today. I hyped up this barber shop to my boyfriend for months maybe even a year or so. And you were rude to my boyfriend. You were buddy buddy with the other patrons but with my boyfriend you gave him attitude for checking his hair cut. Thumbs down for sure read more

First time visit went great, the barber took his time and kept making sure everything was good. Might be my new barber shop from here on out

They will cut exactly like you tell them to. They will not stop working until you are satisfied...their haircuts vie with any haircut from a professional salon and their prices are resonable...if you don't mind their speaking in Spanish you will be okay and you can rest assure they won't be talking out you and perhaps you're better off not knowing what they are talking about! read more

Found this place a few months back and had a decent haircut, so I thought I would try again. The guy who cut my hair last time was not in yet, and there was a line. However, the guy they stuck me with had no one waiting: should have been a clue, but I needed the haircut. I asked for a little over 1/2 cut off, as I had waited too long, but still wanted to be able to comb it. The guy started hacking most (over 90%) of the sides of my hair off, and proceeded to cut it his way. Now for fairness, this may be the only way he knows how to cut hair, but I was thoroughly disappointed. Thankfully hair grows back. This shop was convenient, but I will return to my other barber although he is 20 minutes away. At least he listens. read more

NEVER coming back. Was in Long Beach and needed for my son to get a haircut at the time . There's a guy at the front who takes your name down who was very friendly , he told us the wait would be 20 minutes to go ahead and wait outside as they had no more seats inside . Was waiting outside a bench in front of the Mexican restaurant next to them for 35 minutes . Whatever, I wasn't even mad about the wait I understand it's Sunday everyone is coming in, no big deal . The reason I do not recommend this place is because of the horrible job the barber did. I didn't even catch his name but his chair is second from the backdoor. All I asked was for was a fade and the damn line to part my sons hair . Never has anyone screwed his hair up this bad . There are pieces of long hair all around his head that stick out ,the haircut was all uneven . Then I saw I saw he pulled out the razor , this was basically pointless . Guess he tried to shape his sideburns and they are all uneven ! And the reason I am posting this is because of the part he did. WTF even is this ?! How can you manage to screw up this bad ?! STAY AWAY! read more

Had a good experience here with a Barber named Heraclio. That is the Capital city of the island I am from Crete. The guy explained to me that he was named after a Mexican "Robin Hood" type figure. A long wait time. They do indeed have magazines and this is the right place to be in you want that crisp look. Tapers, Brooks, Fades, and Shape Ups served all day. It is only $11 for a cut and while I was waiting I saw A LOT of fresh cuts walk out the door satisfied. Well run, well priced, and master craftsmen at work. Anything you could ask for in a a barbershop. Recommended. read more

This is probably one of my worst barber experience ever. Firstly, the guy was rude. Secondly, he randomly assigned me a lady barbar without asking and I literally had to wait for 50 minutes. I told him I want a man barbar and he said you have to wait which was fine. But then I waited for another 30 minutes and see him assigning people. Anyways, not coming back to this again. Bye Felicia! You just lost a customer and I would hve returned every month. read more

Awesome barber shop, with a great group of barbers. Prices are really good, I pay $11.00 plus tip for a fade, and trim, it is well worth it every time. I would recommend Daniel, as he gets down, and is a kool dude to chop it up with. read more

Been coming here for about 7 years.. Brought my son in when he was 1 for his 1st hair cut...Carlos, the shop owners super kool, the employees are are kool guys and are talented in what they do. Neat and clean buissness. With good customer service.. read more

Looking for someplace new and cheaper to get my kids hair cut at other then supercuts. Spent some time looking up places and calling them with little success. Called Danny's and call was picked up immediately. Guy was friendly and polite over the phone. Walked in and they had 7 (maybe 8) barber chairs, and each one was full. Guy said 15min wait but they called us to the chair in 5. Had 2 different barbers doing my boys hair and both were professional, fast, careful and left my boys with clean cuts. Very impressed with this barber shop. My 11 year old was happy with his cut and the fact that he didn't itch after the shaving. This will be our new place to get the boys hair cuts. 10 bucks for children...sign said 9-10 for adults. There is parking in the back, which i didn't know and ended up parking 2 blocks away. Thank you for a very friendly, professional experience. read more

Good place to get a fresh cut. They do it all. Some guy named chirps, yes like the bag of chips. He hooked me up with a fresh fresh and even shaved my fade without asking. Homie hooked me up. read more

Great local shop, they speak both English and Spanish, a good razor fade with a straight razor and a clean fade with no strays is $12. Other shops charge $30 if you want a straight razor fade. So you know, that leaves plenty of change left over for tip. For real though, I'm like Al Bundy the way I keep coming back to the same barber here... Worth it. read more

I usually love going here but it's been twice with the older gentleman with the beard that's cut my sons hair and twice that he's done it he does a really poor job. I do however like the other guys cutting my sons hair it's that gentleman in particular that can never get it done right, also why does it cost me $20 w/out tip for a little boy's haircut? I think that is a ridiculous price. read more
