It pains me to write a bad review but I am really disappointed in this place. I guess I was spoiled by Central Ave Florist but they are closed. I tried to order a topper for a tomb stone, sent an example of the arrangement, agreed on a price and day to pick up the order and they say I never called and placed the order. They didn't even realize the flowers on the topper example were silk flowers. I know all businesses are struggling right now so I do feel bad but when you have an opportunity to make sale, take advantage of it. I ordered flowers, the arrangement was beautiful, but then had to cancel as they were being delivered when I found out my friend was not going to be home for a week and I was unaware. They were so kind and understanding, said life happens, and gave me a full refund without me even asking for one! I would highly recommend this florist! After several inconsistent purchases of flowers online through 1-800-Flowers, for my wife's birthday this year I decided to go to an actual florist and look around. I checked various reviews online and then came here on a Monday morning. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and asked me a few simple questions to give her an idea what my wife might like. She also asked for a budget range and the finished arrangement was well within that. I decided to not go with the "standard" type of flowers that one can see in all the supermarkets and such, and instead she made for me a custom arrangement with lots of bold, beautiful flowers. I couldn't name any of them except the Daisies I specifically requested, but they were nice and some didn't open until several days after the birthday (which meant that they lasted longer). I'm adding one star to my review based on the fact that the owner Debbie called me to see if there was anything she could do to address my concerns. That was greatly appreciated and consistent with my review - the service from Danker was very good but the product was disappointing. And since I'm taking the time to update, I can also add that the flowers we received on Saturday are dying as of today (Tuesday). While I appreciate the very good customer service from Debbie and Danker, they are selling a product and that product is overpriced and of questionable quality. What the owners seems to miss is that most people order flowers to mark a special occasion. The moment of delivery is not repeatable or repairable. If the product doesn't wow the recipient - what's the point? I won't risk another order from Danker. If I want an uncertain experience there are plenty of cheaper options. read more

I live in Boston, and where else would I turn to answer all my questions but google? The ordering process was virtually painless, with even a few options thrown in. The price? $50 for flowers and delivery. Not bad at all. The reason I'm leaving this review? After placing my order I received a phone call from Deb with Danker Florist, confirming my order and making sure the card had no grammatical errors. While I thought it was incredibly funny she thought I misspelled the nickname I gave my mother, I also was thankful she was thorough enough to go out of her way to call me and make sure everything was a-ok. Danker Floral completely saved the day for me!!! I called in just hours before closing on a Friday before a holiday weekend panicked because I had ordered my mother, who was having her retirement party, a bouquet from a large flower delivery service for her last day - they called at noon on the day of and told me my "order could not be completed until Monday" ...when she would no longer work there because she was retiring in a few hours. I was admittedly freaking out until I called Danker Floral and they offered to put something together for me and deliver it to my mother before she ended her last day, even though all their deliveries were already out and their delivery drivers were already gone for the day!!! They were SO kind and helpful, and the owner/manager offering to jump in her car and make sure I was able to send something beautiful to my mom to celebrate her 25 years of hard work even though I was across the country and couldn't be there myself - it was such an incredibly kind gesture and just completely saved the day. On the morning of the delivery, a staff member called me to update me that their orange lilies were a bit wilted, and asked me about preferences for alternate flowers or colors. Needed to order flowers for my Mother-In-Law for her birthday. Seems Albany is shut down. I am out of state. Contacted florists and the woman who answered seemed frazzled but unbelievably helpful. She took time to answer questions and help me get something fitting all while being understaffed. You could hear phones ringing in background but she never rushed me or tried to get me off the phone. Danker Florist did the flowers at my parents' wedding 40+ years ago and they've been providing flowers for the family ever since. I moved out of the area years ago but still need flowers for special occasions for family. I don't bother ordering online because it's more fun to call directly. The staff have always been kind and helpful. In fact, I get a kick out of calling, providing a price point and some general direction (i.e. something in season and pink) and let them have fun with the rest.
