Oh yeah. I was so inspired by those Danish designs. I wish I have a nicer looking house in a nicer neighborhood. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They didn't follow me while I looked around for different furnishing ideas. I initially asked for a drawer chest. Oh boy. They are made of solid hard wood and extremely heavy. Again, if I had a nicer house, I would consider buying it. I went around and saw a reasonably priced file cabinet. Great sales price. I need to refurnish my interior before buying this beautiful piece of furniture. I want things matching. Oh, by the way, the exit at Fondren Road and Park West Drive is extremely deep. Bought the Marti bedroom set including 2 bedside tables, two short dressers and one tall dresser. Excellent quality and reasonable prices. Nicholas was our salesman and he was wonderful to deal with. No pressure, lots of knowledge, very polite. The furniture arrived today and it looks fantastic! Broderick, who has delivered here several times previously (he remembered) was marvelous, called in the appointed window, was neat and willing to re-arrange (with his helper). Very friendly service. Add Danish Inspirations to your Bucket List of furniture shopping destination! Not only do they have unique modern designs, but this is the friendliest most helpful staff I have ever experienced at a furniture store. For this particular purchase, I visited many iconic HTx stores in the span of two weeks. (Modani, Cantoni, Love Sac, K & D, Gallery, Ashley, Star, etc.) Customer Service Everything is pretty much customizable without the 6-10 months wait. They have phenomenal warranties: manufacturer + their own 2 year and beyond that they will service any of their pieces as long as parts are obtainable. At what cost? Nothing! Not $1. Unlike one store I previously visited that had NO warranty, not even manufacturer. Or any other that you could purchase such warranties. Delivery? $100/150, I can't recall now. But if you buy anything before your item is delivered, you get no additional delivery fees. What a deal! And when a company is so confident in their products and really stands behind them, it makes me want to be their patron. The sales staff is so knowledgeable in every aspect: about the particular piece, the manufacturer, the materials, comps, etc. There was not a question I asked that Nick didn't know the answer to. (And I learned later he was actually a new employee). The owner introduced himself personally to us and sat down and chatted with us about the company, our choice and just Houston things. So personable and nice! #1 the owner and his son were at the store working. #2 how many owners take time to interact with their "regular Joe" customers? I felt zero pressure and that everyone was there for service to help me find the perfect piece for my needs. The whole experience was actually enjoyable from beginning to end -unlike any furniture store experience I've ever had. If this is the Danish Inspiration way, call me an inspired loyal fan. Update. The selection at Danish Inspirations seems to be leaning heavily toward Italian modern pieces, which makes me sad. I so love many of the Danish modern pieces and would like to continue adding Danish modern to my home collection. I find the Italian items harsh and gaudy, rather than the more subtle Danish styles that I find comforting. I would so love to be able to look to the Danish Inspirations website for new peices and inspiration to fill my home's needs. I know I could come in to the store and search the manufacturer catalogs, but I now live about 60 miles from the store so it not so convenient as it once was. Leather furniture and Ekornes Stressless chairs, ottomans and couches are one of their specialties. They also carry dining room, bedroom furniture and some office tables and chairs. One note on the negative - they no longer carry the higher end bookcases for your office or other purposes. Salesman said the company went out of business. Bummer. Not as expensive as Cantoni or Roche Bobois but quality is a notch lower. read more

After spending the past 2-3 years looking for a coffee table that would match a black leather couch, I have finally found my table. Danish Inspirations is furniture store that deals mainly with modern style of furniture. There were about 3 tables that had caught my attention. I ruled out one of them because it was over $1000, and for me spending that kind of money on a coffee table seemed like a foolish thing to do. The sales rep was friendly, and not pushy. He allowed me to take my time to browse the store, and jump back and forth a few times while I was making my decision. One of the drawbacks of this store is that seem to have their furniture scattered all arond the store. There were some matching sets that were spread out in the store and not on display together. Also, they do not have an efficient delivery service. They charge about $100 and they hire a moving company and 2 men to deliver your furniture which usually takes a few days to setup and move. So if you were to buy a table for $300, then they would charge you $100 to have it delivered. Lucky for me, I only needed a coffee table that I thought for sure would fit into my car. If you are picking up your furniture, they have a warehouse that is located about 1 mile away. I drove there and they had my table all ready for me to pick up. I did have a little issue getting the table top to fit in my car, I ended up having to stick it in the trunk and tie the trunk door down. I tihnk I burned my hand from having to hold the trunk lid down while the warehouse guy tied everything together ( black cars, 95+ degree weathe and sunlight are not a good combination ) read more

THE BEST PLACE TO BUY MODERN FURNITURE IN HOUSTON. We have visited Danish Inspirations for years and we always end up purchasing something. Most of our home has furniture from them. They are careful selecting their suppliers so they can sell the best possible quality and their prices are always very reasonable. You could compare vs. Fashion Home and other options, but if you consider the attention, service, quality and prices, I would say this is the best choice. The family owning this place is very friendly and truly care about their employees and customers. For some reason Google Maps is not showing Driving instructions, but if you input their address you will get there! (or use other app for maps). read more

When my husband and I first started shopping for furniture in Houston, Danish Inspirations was a godsend. We like sleek, modern stuff and we were looking for decent quality at an affordable price. Everything we found was either cheap-o (IKEA, Target), completely not our taste (Gallery, Star) or out of our price range (Bo Concept, High Fashion Home). Over the past two years, we've bought a bedroom set, and convertible sofa, and several smaller items from DI. The selection is good but not overwhelming, the salespeople are helpful without being too pushy, and you can expect a certain level of quality from everything they sell. Overall, the prices are competitive if you're looking for "real furniture" vs. dorm-style junk made of particle board. Just be aware that delivery is $100 no matter what you buy--so if you're making a smaller purchase, you'll want to squeeze it into your car. If you sign up for their mailing list, you find out about their sales (about twice a year) and very occasionally they send coupons (such as $50 off a purchase of $500 or more). In my experience, you'll never get more than 10% off unless an item is a floor model, damaged, etc.--I think their philosophy is to have reasonable everyday prices and not do too much discounting. Overall, they have good products and are good people to work with! read more

It used to be that I only appreciated Danish Inspirations for their eclectic set of modern imports from around the world. But as I got to know the owners and their employees, I am loyal because of the ethos of the company. Not only have they taken care of even the smallest issues without haste, but they look after their people unlike any other company I've witnessed. Just ask one of their delivery personnel how long they've been with Danish Inspirations. The common answer is "20 years". Honestly, I don't know why the Houston Chronicle hasn't written about this family owned business that brings innovation in style and in accountability to our town. Their location on Fondren road isn't the best, but it is well worth a visit if anything to peruse cutting-edge classes of furniture in a warm environment. read more

While a three star review may not seem impressive, let me say that I plan to return to Danish Inspiration. They do a great job of having generically user friendly furniture readily available at cheap-ish prices. When we went, the air conditioning was out which made for a not-so-pleasant shopping experience, but that's easily ignored. The jumbled warehouse feel proved to be a little distracting. With no real aisles to speak of, it was easy to miss out on things because you're were too busy traversing the congested room. The quality is not fantastic, but it is affordable. They do a few knock off designs which irked me a little, but there's not much you can do about that. The salespeople were not pushy (kudos for that) and they had quite a few sale prices for the floor items. What Danish Inspirations does well though is keep it generic. There were modern-ish pieces, contemporary-ish units, and traditional-ish set ups. Nothing was extreme. If you're looking for something strictly in one camp or another, you may need to wander elsewhere. We're still in the early stages of shopping and while I doubt we'll do any major pieces here, I did find a few accents that I think we can skimp on and get the same effect. read more

I have been shopping at Danish inspirations since 2007 and have purchased several major items from them. My first major purchase was a wood bed frame set (espresso). It was a very good set for the price. The frame has held up very well for the 3 years that I have owned it, and I can definitely say that the quality is more than adequate. I have had absolutely no problems at all. I really wanted a sectional couch and the original set that I ordered from them would not fit up my semi winding stairwell. (not their fault at all). I decided to go with a different sectional set that was able to be broken down into more pieces. The natuzzi sectional set that I went with was not cheap to say the least. If you are framiliar with the line, they offer very soft and durable leather goods in a contemporary design. So far the natuzzi has held up well, with very minimal scratches from my own mis-use. My one complaint is that the particular chair i use the most, has tended to sag a bit relative to others, but not by much. We also own a coffee table and end table set that we get many compliments from. I also own a desk and other office room furniture which has held up wonderfully through time. Overall, I believe that Danish Inspirations is slightly over-priced for what you get, but the quality of the goods does make the purchase a bit easier to stomach. Sure there are other places on Fondren, but those places may be closed down by the time you need any warranty work done. I believe that this place offers a nice balance b/w contemporary styles and affordability. The fact that not everyone shops here gives me the ability to set my place apart from others, and that means a lot to me. read more

Not sure whether to like this place or loathe it. It's full of some nice pieces but they're all imitations of much nicer designer furniture. That piece there strongly resembles a piece designed by Eames, Knoll and/or Jens Risom, take your pick. Most pieces here aren't even Danish inspired, but just modern looking. Fake wood veneer?, can't I get that at ikea for a fraction of the price? The sales people are friendly but it's clearly commission sales here. We left without really considering anything. read more

I have been in the store on many occasions and always find a new selection of furniture. The people are friendly in the store and parking is simple, being able to park just out front. Thus, far I have purchased from them on three occasions. The last time was a recliner for my wife. it's funny that she loved mine that I got there a year earlier more than her chair from Pottery Barn. We found the Ekornes section to be very easy to find in the store. I like that there were swatches of fabric and leather which made it easy to see what worked in our home. The sales rep was helpful as well explaining that there are three sizes of the chair. A suggestion to get the table that attaches was very good. She uses that all the time for her laptop. Overall it was a good experience. There was no issue on delivery like missing parts or damage to the chair. The only slow part in the process is getting a ticket written up so they can get the delivery information. I am not sure that can be done that much faster though. read more

Furniture itself is exactly what you see in the showroom, I love their style. Quality is good , shape and materials - a taste issue , like a high quality IKEA . Love it ! Delivery - 2 guys, on time , were able to deal with my non English speaking mom and arrange the furniture in the right place . They have nice furniture and advertise this as European. While it looks nice and modern it is very poor quality. We purchased a leather couch sectional there about 6.5 years ago. It was only lightly used and is now completely ruined (leather layer came off and leaves white plastic base material behind). I contacted the store to let them know it is disappointing that the quality is so bad. The responds I got was that they were surprised that it lasted so long - They would think this type of couch sectional has an average life of about 5 years. I find this to be an unusual statement, especially form a store which from the impression they gave has quality products. I wanted to give a 4-star review but changed my mind based on customer service. We bought a bed, linen chest and TV console for close to $3000 about 5 years ago. While moving, we disassembled the furniture that caused some of the plastic hardware to damage. I went back to their store to get replacement parts and they sent me to their warehouse. Mind you, the furniture is not cheap and I didn't buy it at the warehouse. The guys at the warehouse just don't want to talk to you. They told me rudely that they can't help me. After persuasion one of them took me to the assembly location which was a complete disarray with hardware strewn around all over the place. He goes, "I know you paid for it, but I can't help you". I then went back to the showroom and they didn't want to help either because it had been over 5 yrs since buying. Since when is age of furniture related to hardware? The lady at the desk was very polite trying to help. She wanted to speak to one of the sales guys to find out the name of the part. He came up and asks her "do you need translation?"; I was speaking in English FYI thank you very much. The furniture is now complete junk, it doesn't come with assembly instructions. What use is a furniture when you can't get service after paying 1000s of $$. I even called them before disassembly and was willing to pay them to disassemble it. They hung up the phone on me. If you want to buy furniture and not move them at all, and do not expect customer service or replacement parts, go buy here. The furniture does look nice. You will get zero support later. But, because I now have $3000 worth of junk, I have decided never to buy at Danish Inspirations. I now buy furniture at Ikea or High Fashion Home because, I can get the customer service after buying. At Danish Inspirations they just want to get the furniture out the door; after that, you are on your own. read more

I got these set of 4 dining chairs as a present, and behold in no time, they were all fallen apart like the broken 10th commandments. I spoke a couple of times with someone from Danish inspiration whose ONLY advice was that i should come in and buy another sets of chairs as they were having a sale. The sales person told me he had similar problem with his own chairs and had to throw them away. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY, NOR RECOMMEND DANISH UN-INSPIRATIONS TO ANYONE. I have a few more rooms in my house to fill and Danish will be my first stop. The pricing is affordable and I always feel welcome.
