They haven't called me back yet. I was going to replace myself, but the two overflow plate screw broke when removing. I needed to hire a plumber to replace the waste and overflow pipe. At first I was told it was a fixed price of $620. After he finshed the job, I said was high and he dropped it ti $499. The next day I complained to the main office and they said they the price should be $359 and they would talk to the tech who gave me a way to high of a price. In the end I still ended up paying a high price of $359 for a half hours work, in which I supplied most of the materials. They charged me $310 for a half hours work. Gave me a $31 senior discount. And charge me $80.57 for material which they would not break down. They told me it was the cost if the waste and overflow plastic kit, which I looked up a similar kit for $21 on Amazon. J ust wanted to tell you my experience with them.

CT Heat Pros of Northeast Connecticut - We take pride in how well we clean our customers oil heating systems

CT Heat Pros of Northeast Connecticut

CT Heat Pros is going through a bit of trouble recently. There's a lot of unhappy people out there…read more I'm one of them. $9000 and six months later and I still need to fork over a few grand to get my AC working. But that's a different story for another day... The thing about CT Heat Pros is that it isn't actually an HVAC company - it's a marketing company. Their goal isn't to do quality heating and air conditioning work. Their goal is to earn your trust so that you'll more expediently part with your money. The owner is aware that there have been some issues lately - mostly due to the fact that he caused them. His reply to one less-than-satisfied customer: we will work harder to gain everyones trust back. And the BEST way to earn that trust back? Double down on the "marketing", forget about the customers and post a slew of fake five-star Google reviews. He copied reviews from other HVAC companies, changed the names and then had them posted on his Google business page. I've attached a series of images here which showcase *some* of them. (You can ignore the highlighted text; it is just a remnant of my searches.) You'll see a CT Heat Pros review, and underneath it you'll see the legitimate review that was stolen. That's what CT Heat Pros thinks of YOU! You're a smart consumer who does their due diligence and researches a business before you consider hiring them. You deserve to be manipulated! (I've made several attempts to post a review ON Google's review platform but Google is ghosting my post for whatever reason.) Here's where dishonesty becomes sociopathic: He didn't just steal the review and post it as his own. He went a step further to REPLY to the review, to show gullible people trying to research HVAC companies that not only is his company GREAT at what they "do", but they're also just plain ol' decent people who take the extra time to connect with their customers. With CT Heat Pros, it's personal! You're not just a client! You're *family*. "Ortega, thank you for being such a quality customer. Working with you was an honor. Your kindness to our crew during the project was second to none. Thank you." "Wow! What service! They really *care* about their customers and I'm sure it reflects in their workmanship! I should hire them, too!" - You, hopefully. But "Ortega" doesn't actually exist. Not as a customer of CT Heat Pros, anyway. He's just there to extort your trust by misleading you into a false sense of confidence. Justin, we'll be seeing you again soon!

These people are complete scammers. I had them out to do the yearly maintenance on my central air,…read moreand after the cleaning they told me that my condenser was down 1.5 lbs of Freon. I agreed to have them top it off, and they charged me $229/lb for it (R22), which I didn't realize at the time was an exorbitant price. Less than a week later the system wasn't blowing cold air, so I had them come back to look at it again. This time they said that all the Freon was gone, which means the compressor had a leak, and due to the age of the system you can't get a replacement compressor, so I would have to replace the entire system. They quoted me $5400 to replace the whole system, then pressured me to move quickly so I wouldn't take time to think about things. Thankfully, I didn't let them pressure me into a premature decision. I decided to get a second opinion from a company I've worked with before. They did a pressure test on my condenser for six days, and sure enough, there's no leak. The refrigerant was actually all gone (that might be the only true thing Heat Pros told me) but it definitely didn't leak out on it's own. This other technician and I came to the conclusion that Heat Pros deliberately let the refrigerant out when they were working on my system the first time so that it would stop working and they could convince me to buy a whole new system from them. Talking to this technician is also how I learned that R22 should cost $54/lb, not $229/lb.
