The short review is; simply the best care you can get anywhere around. Always one on one and always…read morefrom highly qualified and caring Physical Therapists. They have a prestigious HSS affiliation and are trained to use many unique and effective techniques such as the Graston. When someone in our house gets an injury and PT is required this is the only place we consider, even though it tough for us to get to based on where we live and where the kids go to school. This place and its people are worth every penny and any extra effort to get to. Three in our household have had multiple injuries and always have had super positive experiences. We have received care from four of their providers and it's been consistently awesome. Long review... I have had many sports injuries after turning 40 and before I found this place I had a very negative view of physical therapy in general. All the other places were big PT mills. At those places I was lucky if I saw my practitioner more than 1/2 the time I was there. The majority of the time I was there they would bounce between multiple other patients. It was a waste of money and more importantly a waste of my time. The first injury I came to CT family PT for was a serious grade 3 sprain. The Connecticut Family physical therapy and the provider completely changed my view of physical therapy and it's benefits. I am very grateful for the improved quality of life changes and increased athletic performance after my experiences with CT Family PT. Progress seemed slow at first but the provider had a plan and was constantly adjusting and challenging me as my healing progressed. Also, he integrated in his plan treatments and exercises to address deficiencies in my mechanics that contributed to the injury. Before long I was back better than before. I play soccer in an over 40 Sunday league but also play pickup during the week one or two additional times if time allows. We play hard and play 20 something year old kids and invariably I push myself into the red zone and injure something. I have had multiple injuries since the ankle sprain but two were significant and multiple orthopedic surgeons were strongly recommending surgery. Providers at Ct family physical therapy worked with me and like my first experience; they came up with a plan and were able to get me back on the field as good or better than before. Following my positive experiences my two children have used this practice multiple times. My Daughter plays ECNL soccer and is a multisport varsity athlete, my son plays for an MLS soccer academy. Both have received care for various ankle and knee injuries and the care has always been excellent. This is a small practice with a warm caring atmosphere, you won't see some giant gym-like common area. This practice is all about individual care. There are private rooms for each of the practitioners and a small common area with plenty of equipment and space for movement based therapy. Tara is a supervisor there and is a excellent Phyiscal therapist and helped me through my most complex injury. She also has a nack for surrounding her self with other really motivated and skilled Physical therapist.

Review of Amanda Kaslowitz…read more I have worked with Amanda Kaslowitz from time to time over the last three or four years. I have chronic back problems for which I had spinal fusion surgery. The surgery was successful, but every so often the parts of my back which did not have the surgery act up, so I go to Amanda for PT. She also helped me when I threw my shoulder out after I heaved a heavy suitcase like it was a shot put (not a good idea). If you have been to other physical therapy practices, you are probably used to the routine. The therapist works with you for a while, then they hook you up to an electric stimulus machine and go work with another patient. Or they put a hot towel on you. And then the session is over. Working with Amanda and her colleagues at CT Family Physical Therapy is not like that. She works with you and on you for the whole session. She watches while you do the exercises and makes sure that you are doing them correctly. And if you get used to doing those exercises, she gives you harder exercises. What I find is that Amanda is unfailingly focused, engaged and upbeat. Even if I am not. Because, as she will tell you, you can and will get better. So that's my review of Amanda Kaslowitz. Steven B
