Wost chille relleno I've had here in arlington never agian they charge 8 for a shrimp cocktail when they say small they mean it .the enchaladas verde were ok but I wont order from here anymore . Very disappointed. read more

I have seen this restaurant for years in Arlington and we finally decided to check it out. The food is standard good nice portions Mexican food all the usual items. The place is more authentic Mexican not a Tex Mex chain. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. The salsa is very mild. I order the cheese enchilada and a taco it was good. My partner had taco al Conbon. And some of our other guest had the fajitas. And they all like the food. Happy hour before 7 Pm . the margaritas are a strange looking green and they taste like a green sucker. After the first taste it grows on you. But I could only do one. Over all I would go back but only if someone else wants to. There are to many other place I like better. read more

My father really wanted nachos so we found this place and decided to try it. When i called the place the order the lady hung up and i proceeded to call back. Danielitas has been around forever. The food is decent enough, the service is good and the restaurant is clean. The ambiance suffers however because, in my opinion, sometimes a place has been around so long it seems like they just go through the motions. I believe the term is they are "Resting on their Laurels." Someone new to Danielitas may think the place is somewhat creepy because the lights are dim and the Window blinds are open with some Mexican TMZ type TV show on the one tv in the dining area. People go there because they've always gone there and I think that's why we keep going there. I remember going when my kids were little when it was new and the focus was on getting customers and hoping they'd return. That customer focus has faded but once or twice a year we visit, eat, get a little creeped out and then return again next year. We will probably be back and will keep going back. It's a good local place. Don't get weirded out. It's worth a try. Maybe they'll turn off the TMZ and play some Mexican music for you read more

First time here for me and I gotta say I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. First of all, I was under the impression that they had homemade tortillas.. This is a deal breaker for me as I wont eat them unless they are.. They didn't.. We both had enchiladas. I had the Verdes and he had Cheese. I was very pleased with the Salsa Verde and how generous they were with the chicken. Normally little places like this skimp on the meat but they had them jam packed full of chicken breast. I'd eaten here several times before and thought they were just OK. I'd had the fajitas and enchilada plates but still had not found anything that excited me. Finally on our last visit I tried the Chimichangas. WOW I finally found my thing here. Two decent sized Chimichangas which were crispy and full of brisket. This meal was pleanty big for 2 big eaters and was one of the best Chimichangas I'd ever had and I've had quite a few. Now for those hard candy green Margaritas. I have driven by this place on many occasions & never thought to give it a try. I stumbled upon it because I was craving fajitas & I decided to do a yelp search. I wasn't interested in getting fajitas from local chains ( taco cabana etc). Upon reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. Last night was my 2nd visit to this establishment. This establishment gets 5 stars in every category. Its exceptionally clean. The customer service is great. The prices are reasonable. The portions are generous. The wait time is less than 15 mins for food arrival. I've ordered fajitas on both occasions and they were very tasty. What I can't understand is why it's always a ghost town in there. Each visit I've only seen one family at a table. Arlington is sleeping on this gem....I would recommend visiting this establishment & I plan on being a repeat customer. Next time I'm going to try a different menu option. My fajita plate was only $12.95 & it takes me 2 days to finish it. Nice little place, mostly clean, excellent service and reasonable prices. The salsa is so bland it is just lame, no kick at all... nada, just stewed tomatoes blended with a little cilantro. The tortillas aren't made in house, so they pretty much suck. Enchiladas and tamales are very good as are the tacos and taquitos. Fajitas can be hit or miss depending on who's in the kitchen I guess. Sometimes they are outstanding, other times they are as sorry as they can be. I'd eat here again since the dishes are prepared using lard where applicable instead of some kind of artificial fat substitute. Just ask for your food to be served hot and it will come out nice and bubbly, otherwise in our experience it's likely going to be slightly warmer than room temp. The fajita nachos are usually a good bet since they are almost always cooked fresh. This place is associated with the La Isla restaurants. We found this place because we stopped going to the La Isla on Pioneer Pkwy (next to Popeyes just off 360) because in our opinion it was always so dirty and filthy we didn't feel safe to eat there. Danelita's has a great menu, a little something for everyone with great service for cheap. I'd hit it again if I was in the area and didn't have other choices that were convenient. read more

So there are two listings for Danielita's because the family also owns the two La Islas in town. I'm not sure why they list them together, who knows? There is never a wait when I come here on Sunday and there isn't anything on the menu that is pricey. You can get out of here full on chips and food for less than $6. I'm totally serious. If you have a little more money to burn, then have a bloody mary because they are pretty tasty. The big burrito is huge and there are your Mexican standards like menudo, caldo, huevos rancheros, migas, you know the drill. The service is friendly and mostly Spanish-speaking and the restaurant was redecorated recently. There is also a room for private parties. read more

This is the real deal. This is on the edge of the hispanic community, and run by los hispanos. After moving to Arlington about a year ago, I hunted high & low for great Mexican food. Never quite found it. But then we met our hispanic friend for lunch at Danielita's a few weeks ago... WHOA! They know what they're doing. I had been going here for several years and even recommended this place before, but never again after today's experience. We walking in at 2 pm for a late lunch only table in the place. We were given our drinks and chips and she took our order. A while later we needed drinks and chips and nobody was to be found my husband had to get up and find somebody. He found most if not all the front house staff sitting in the next room just chit chatting. He had to ask them to get up and refill drinks and chips. Once we got our food the plates were super hot and the food dried out like it had been sitting under heat lamps a while. When brought to the mangers attention who also had been sitting in that next room with our server he did a poor job of redeeming the situation and we ended up leaving upset and still hungry. read more

Tried it out because a friend said how good the fried fish was. Well, the food was horrible! I tried to eat it and just couldn't do it. I spoke to the manager, he assured me the fish and fries were fresh. I stated that the fries were stale and the fish had no favor. My daughter's food was terrible too. He re did my fish, no improvement. Our waitress was horrible as well.. Needless to say, they wouldn't get my business again! read more

Love this place. Whatever you order if you want a special way they will do it for you. If you want a certain drink and they don't have it, let them know how to make it and they will do it gor you. read more

Talk about customer.service!!! The owner/manager got mad and confro nted me over a bad plate of shrimp fajita!!! Waitress asked if everything was ok? I just made comment about shrimp been old, she offered to bring a new plate, I declined since we had to be somewhere, but I wasn't complaining just made comment.
