He assumed because I was presenting a voluntary project (on my end) I was asking for some type of favor. Call these guys if you want to be cut off multiple times and talked down to. Still offered to do the work when he realized I expected to pay after being cantankerous the entire time. Not counsel for creators, just a regular old impatient jerk of a lawyer. Editing to add that I had to call the office to get them to call me at the scheduled time. No respect for a your time when they are late to a scheduled call. Editing to respond: one of my business partners walked in during this call and immediately remarked on the tone being dismissive and rude. After them making that observation I immediately called the front desk to ask that the summary not be moved forward as to not waist more time. Then another person called back asking why I called and I told them again. So I guess communication is an issue all around. There were no "pointing toward other resources", which we didn't need anyway, just being written off until I had to insist, somewhat astoundingly, that I expected to pay. Then I gave you a quote I had already gotten from another lawyer. Then a price was finally put forth. It has been mentioned in other yelp reviews that you push ppl to write good reviews and I should have been more wary of that possibility. I'm not sure your reviews reflect anything other than a business strategy.

I had six or seven car accident cases happening at the same time--not individually over the years, but all at once. Talk about a juggling act! Somehow, Jacob managed every case with incredible knowledge, organization, and attention to detail. He knew my cases better than I did, even though I was the one who had lived through everything. I received excellent settlements on each of my cases, but one accident in particular was the catalyst for the pain and injuries that followed. Jacob negotiated an incredible settlement in that case--far beyond what many of his peers believed was possible. Honestly, I never expected the outcome he was able to achieve for me. What impressed me most was not just the results, but the fact that Jacob was always on top of everything. I felt like I was in extremely capable hands throughout the entire process. He understood the details, knew how to navigate the complexities of my cases, and fought to get me the best possible outcome. I honestly don't remember how I originally found Jacob, but I will be forever grateful that I did. If I am ever unfortunate enough to be involved in another car accident (knocking on wood!), Jacob Seropian will be the first person I call. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thanks, Jacob!!!

Sorry, as a paying client, I don't want to hear that. I want my lawyer to be swamped helping me, not putting me on the back burner. I have found that in general, attorney patent filing fees are absurd. I didn't end up using the attorney for that, not because I couldn't afford it, but because despite my questioning for details and fee justification, he failed to convince me that the time he claimed that would be invested in my filing was worth the thousands of dollars he charges. There is so much good, accurate and FREE information on the Internet/YouTube on this subject. I filed my patent by myself with success. I have no problem paying for advice but this firm turned cold toward me when they realized I wasn't going to throw tons of money at them for the filing. This whole thing dragged on for a while, and honestly it was one of the more stressful periods I've been through. There were a lot of moving parts, a lot of uncertainty, and plenty of moments where I didn't know what to expect next. But the team at Carbon Law was there through all of it. Pankaj in particular made a huge difference for me. He was patient, easy to reach, and never made me feel rushed when I had questions or just needed things explained again. More than anything, he helped me stay calm through a situation that could have easily overwhelmed me. That kind of steady support is hard to find, and it made a real difference in how I got through this. In the end, they negotiated a great settlement for me, and I walked away feeling like I actually had people in my corner the whole time, not just a law firm handling paperwork. If you're dealing with a stressful legal situation and want a team that will actually be there for you, I'd recommend Carbon Law Group without hesitation.
