When I asked clarifying questions to ensure we were aligned, I did not receive direct answers. At times, it also felt like there was more emphasis on the firm's economic upside than on clearly explaining how the approach would serve me as the client. Over time, I began to feel that my best interests were not being prioritized and I lost trust. The firm ultimately chose to end the representation rather than work through the questions and craft a strategy I felt comfortable with. When I later shared feedback about my experience, the response began with "I don't want to get into too much of a debate here," and then proceeded with a lengthy written response (~ 1,100 words), which felt more focused on self-justification than addressing my concerns and reinforced that my concerns were valid. To be fair, the retainer was refunded promptly and my file was provided, which I appreciate. But based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this firm.
