I came in and knew exactly what I was trying to do. I needed help to correct some issues that I had with a trademark application I submitted. The process was pretty straightforward. The team provided me with information that helped me to get a better understanding of the issue. I think they are a solid company to use for legal advice with 2 general caveats. 1.) As the client, you need to come in having performed basic research (a la Google). This will help you get the most bang for your buck. 2.) FOLLOW-UP. I have worked with attorneys, I have a Masters of Law, and volunteered at legal clinics, the client that vehemently follows up may be annoying but they get remembered. Be an advocate for yourself. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I am a hard grader. I work in professional services and have supreme high standards when it comes to rating services. I've seen the best and work with the best so I don't give out 5's casually. The service has to wow me AND surpass all my expectations with a soupçon of over and above. This wasn't that. But their service was as promised, effective, and delivered. First red flag was that Jonathan asked me to leave a Yelp review right after our first phone consultation, which was now over 4 years ago. I had a trademark issue and was advised that social media companies would typically defer to trademarks, and after a long expensive process of filing US and International trademarks, Jonathan's plan didn't work and the social media companies just ignored us. What he made sound relatively straightforward and a matter of just weeks turned into more than 2 years. The only reason I finally got one of the social media accounts was because the other business eventually ceased operation and quit using the accounts. When it finally came time to negotiate with the other business, Jonathan completely dropped the ball and left out the most critical pieces of information that I had repeatedly reiterated. He then told me that negotiations didn't seem possible. I fired him, took over the negotiations and turned it around and got it completely resolved. I often had to send followup emails days later to get answers to simple questions, and I never felt like I really got satisfactory answers. At one point I asked to work with a different attorney at the firm on this project because I was unhappy, and I was passed onto what I assume was a junior associate who ignored questions about their credentials, was not listed on the website, and was worse about followup and details than Jonathan. read more
