I found Dr. Gardiner many years ago when I was experiencing hip pain and his adjustments permanently alleviated the pain. I returned to him a few years later when I experienced the shoulder injury, and again his alignments permanently alleviated the pain. He's an excellent doctor, and I highly recommend his care. read more

I've only been to two chiropractors. One that took xrays and tried to sell me on pillows and whole regimens of treatments and Dr. Gardiner who I can't say enough about. I'm a massage therapist and went to see Dr. Gardiner in the spring after a long cold, achey winter of not moving much and just feeling beat up and like an old lady from doing massage. My first appointment I was half trying to figure it out and much to my surprise Dr. Gardiner palpated and resistant tested every area that had been giving me problems. I giggled at how ridiculous it was that someone ACTUALLY KNEW all these strange aches and pains that were bothering me and that there was an actual reason for it. It was really was the catalyst of change for me to get out of the "fog" I'd been in. I occasionally go back there when I'm starting to feel crummy. He's really laid back, gives very practical and real advice and is very gentle in his approach (often I'll wait for a bigger cervical mobilization or for him to really dig into my psoas and be like "man, that was nothing!"). I'll even send my own clients to him who I think will benefit from his treatments.. read more

Woke up on a Sunday morning with terrible pain and distortion in shoulder blade, and googled for a chiro open anywhere in NYC. Luckily Dr Gardiner was one of the first hits, and he saw me quickly, spent a good long time putting everything back where it belonged, and I walked out of his office greatly improved. Have gone back for a couple of tune-ups, and he's the real deal. Uses a different modality than any chiro I've seen in past, (SOT) but hell, it works, whatever it's called. Nice guy as well, and pleasant staff. read more

Dr. Gardiner is the most chill chiropractor you will ever meet. In fact, he's probably one of the chillest people you will ever meet period. So much so that I frequently found myself checking his eyes for any tell-tale redness. Yah maaaaan he's like, soooooo laid back. But he's an awesome chiropractor with wonderful technique and great knowledge of the body. He helped me bring my body into balance when visually I could see one shoulder was higher than the other. As it turns out, what was really happening was that one leg was shorter than the other due to some misalignment in my pelvic girdle. Chiropractic will give you a newfound respect for the body and how intricately connected the whole thing is. A misalignment in your hip can express itself as nerve pain in your arm. Changing the alighnment of your vertebrae can not only alleviate muscle pain or stiffness, but can even have emotional and psychological effects, as you literally bring your nueroskeletal system into balance. Dr. Gardiner's practice is small but chiro visits are typically only 15 minutes long (once you get past your consultation and start having adjustments). He accepts many insurances, and co-pays are typically about $15. He recently opened a second practice in midtown at 200 W. 57th St., Suite 807, 212-581-0101. read more

My appointment with Dr. Gardiner literally changed my day. On a random morning I awoke with acute neck & back pain. Not only could I not move my head from the left to the right, it actually hurt to swallow. After doing several scary self diagnosis on the internet, I decided to contact a professional. Previously I have seen Dr. Gardiner, however I let my appointment schedule laps. Luckily I still had his information and we discussed my issues over the phone before I came in. Although he had a busy day, Dr. Gardiner still made the time to see me. I did not have much faith that I would feel better so quickly, however I was proven wrong. By the time I left my appointment I could actually walk properly and I was on the road to recovery. Dr. Gardiner answered each one of my (many) questions and even offered advice for sleep and exercise. Going forward, I will make my appointments more regularly and work with this fantastic team. read more

Dr. Gardiner has a gentle approach to his work. He was able to immediately assess my problem and helped relieve lower back pain and stiffness in my neck. His no nonsense approach is clear and his advice is simple. A good chiropractor is hard to find and with Dr. Gardener I trust I am in good hands. The added bonus: his practice is open 7 days and his schedule is flexible. It can't get any easier than this. read more

If there were more than five stars to be given - Dr. Gardiner would get them all. I have been a patient of Dr. G. for many years now. I first sought him out after a very painful chronic back problem that I assumed I'd have to live with forever after seeing numerous back "specialists" for years and years. Wrong! What a marvel he is. He can diagnose a problem before I have a chance to even articulate it. Now I see him every two weeks just for "maintenance". I exercise vigorously and lead a very active life so I am always doing something that can potentially turn into a problem as my body tries to compensate for my Type A behavior. Of all the positive things I do for myself: nutrition, exercise, medical checkups & screenings etc., seeing Dr. Gardiner is the MOST important of all for my general well-being. He has made such a tremendous difference in my quality of life. read more

Dr. Gardiner is a super awesome chiropractor. The perfect mix of personable, relatable and knowledgable, I was blown away by his diagnosis that explained a lot of my chronic pain issues that I thought I just had to live with. Instead, he helped to put me on my way to healing with a very informative alignment session that greatly improved my back issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Gardiner. And, as an added bonus, his office is housed in a cute little brownstone adjacent to Fort Greene Park for an extra-added peaceful vibe. read more

I went, in a state of desperation (pain and discomfort), to Gardiner Chiropractic yesterday. I had no idea what to expect, but found him to be both helpful and wonderfully knowledgeable without being didactic or coming on with an agenda other than to work with the spine and relieve my not inconsiderable pain. He's a highly effective straight shooter, don't think you can go wrong by coming here. read more

My husband and I were extremely happy with the chiropractor in Manhattan we'd been going to for the last dozen years but our move to Brooklyn from Manhattan and the birth of our child made trips for chiropractic care few and far between. We were both literally feeling the loss. I was feeling desperate. The combination of the very positive reviews and his office being 2 blocks from us brought me to schedule an appointment. After my first visit, I told my husband he had to schedule an appointment. We echo what everyone else has written about Daniel. My husband and I are so thankful to have found him. read more

I was experiencing numbness in various parts of my body. Neither my general practitioner nor a neurologist were able to identify the source of the numbness, or suggest a remedy. Luckily, someone I trust suggested that I visit a Chiropractor. I'd visited Dr. Gardiner some 10 years earlier and was pleasantly surprised to find him still practicing in my old neighborhood. He was able to see me right away and took action immediately to correct structural imbalances, gently and effectively. After 3 visits the numbness subsided completely. Dr, Gardiner is a thoughtful and thorough practitioner that I would recommend to anyone experiencing pain and discomfort. read more

after suffering from severe neck pain i made an appointment to see dr. gardiner. the office is conveniently located in a super cute part of ft. green, right off the F train. (i understand he also practices in DUMBO, if that's closer to u)... reception is always timely, friendly and accommodating. having been to several chiropractors my whole life, i feel like dr. gardiner is especially attentive and thorough. adjustments are effective but not aggressive, and affordable. i always feel better leaving his office, and even after he's seemingly cured a chronic neck pain of mine it's a pleasure going for follow ups and maintenance. a wonderful chiropractic experience. ps. he's also really handsome... ;) read more

Dr. Gardiner , is a God send. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about the body and who it works. If people are meant to do certain things he is meant to be a chiropractor/ healer. I find him almost intuitive when it comes to my body. He always seems to know the right questions to ask. He also shares his knowledge of other holistic or general resources for whatever ails you. The office clean comfortable and well run. He is a great asset to the community. read more

Dr. Gardiner works wonders! He is gentle, effective, and very knowledgable. A fantastic, holistic approach to alignment.

Worst chiropractor around! I went to his office for two reasons, the reviews and he was open on Sunday. I hurt myself moving furniture and I was in a great deal of pain. I couldn't wait till Monday when my chiropractor opens, as I go to a different office on regular basis, so I decided to give it a shot. He was a bit puzzled to say the least when he saw the level of pain I was in, clueless what to do I should say. Making a long story short, he doesn' t even own a chiropractic bed, the one I was sent on in the room to the right is more of a massage bed. Good thing I can mention is he is a nice friendly individual and the office is nice and cozy. But charging $150 for a quick visit and not getting anything done is a rip off! Just so you have an idea, I went back to my regular guy on Monday and walked out of his office pain free. I'm not sure about the previous reviews but in my eyes he isn't experienced enough to help with real pain issues. read more
