Amy Zimmermann ( lactation specialist) is knowledgeable, professional and genuinely cares about your success with breastfeeding. She is kind and available to you even once your baby is born. Food was the worst, and the silverware had to be returned 2x because it was DIRTY! The nurse kept calling me so pretty and Halley Berry for some reason when I look nothing like her. It wasn't a compliment to me it was unprofessional. They took 3hrs after my request to come and help me to the bathroom and no, they were not busy I could hear them laughing and joking outside. They never hooked me up to machine to check my oxygen levels which was the reason I had to stay there 2 days. I might as well have been home. SO that was wasted money spent. They were supposed to get me up and walk me around and never did for 2 days. There was a pain med schedule on the board and they NEVER adhered to it. My surgeon was furious and they blamed ME the patient for not calling THEM when I was literally speaking to them to provide it. Go ANYWHERE but here!!

The first time I took my mom to one of her appointments with him, I was so impressed. He really took a lot of time with her, was so patient and kind and truly listened to her. My mom has always been very picky about her doctors and always finds reason to find someone new but after her last appointment she actually said that Dr. Aminpour may be the best doctor she's ever had. My mom lives with me and I'm her medical advocate and the fact that he's willing to collaborate with me on her labs etc. (I'm a part time health coach after having to learn to advocate for myself when I was diagnosed with multiple chronic medical conditions) says so much about his character. He truly wants the best for his patients. My husband has his first appointment with him in a couple weeks and my son will be seeing him next. If I didn't already have an excellent GP, he'd be my doctor as well. In this day and age of for profit insurance companies controlling our healthcare, it's rare to find such a kind AND smart doctor. He's a needle in a haystack.

I just called after business hours since I received a call at 7:45 pm, in which the caller asked if…read moreI can return the call. So I did 5 minutes later, and the person who answered told me to call back during business hours. When I was a few words into explaining, I was hung up on. This is after I was ignored after a severe fall in which I had been waiting for a week now for X-ray results (upon reading reviews, I can see I am not alone in this.) I have come to find the doctor never bothered to review them. I had to call the other day to ask if the results were even in yet and was told yes, but if I wanted them sent to the doctor to be reviewed. I was astonished, since I had gone to urgent care - which I had assumed (my mistake) meant they would be taken and sent to be reviewed that day - and not just sitting in a pile somewhere collecting dust. I said please do. Well, I noticed the same day that my injury (my hamstring and groin) was completely bruised. I also still couldn't walk after a week without help and decided to look it up myself. Come to find that I only had a 72 hr window for any surgery to be done should it had been needed otherwise my muscle would begin to atrophy. So I called again yesterday since I still hadn't heard anything to ask if my message had been passed along - and was told it was passed to my primary and not the doctor who had seen me. (He hadn't done anything to begin with other than ask questions while I sat uncomfortably in a wheel chair. No exam or anything. I was also not given any sort of care instructions other than ice it and take IB. My son was with me thank goodness since I couldn't drive or walk or do much of anything on my own.) She said she'd forward it to him then and that was that. Had I not thought to do my own research and not trust the damn doctor, I wouldn't have known that for my type of injury there were things I should have been doing that were extremely important that would have been nice to know the day I left the damn office! Like wrap it snugly to keep the swelling under control for starters, and the ice is only just the beginning but also elevation is key! I guess it's time to consider a switch. My leg is still black and blue, but after only two days of doing what I learned from the internet and not the one place I actually went to for help, my bruising decreased significantly - as is the swelling. And the pain is much more under control. (I have been photo documenting it for legal purposes) So, thanks Dr. Google. I still can hardly walk. I was treated as though it was no big deal. Partially due to the fact I have a very high pain tolerance. But if I did in fact rupture my hamstring (since I did hear a pop and I had informed him of it when I saw him - I just mistook it for my hip at the time) and I end up suffering long term damage because they wrote me off as if it were nothing, then I'm sure I will have some not so kind words for the medical board about it. Editing to add: They also gave me a shot of Toradol which did absolutely nothing for the pain.

When Optum took over, patient care and communication went downhill fast. The worst was when we couldn't call our doctor's nurse anymore and it went to a patient care advocate who would ask the same 5 minutes of questions every time we called. And we'd never get a call back from our messages. It was infuriating. I'm grateful for our time with Dr. Goyne and Dr. Philip Lee. They served us well, but we had to move to another medical group.

During the call, she repeatedly asked for my name and basic information multiple times, even after I answered several times clearly. The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.
