Due to a recent fall, his glasses were damaged and unwearable. Dr. Denton was not in the day I went to the office for assistance, however, the office staff collected my contact information and Dr. Denton personally phoned the next day. After receiving my exam from Dr. Rob Pate who I would recommend, I was told by the staff that my insurance was no longer in network since the practice had been sold to a larger corporation. I asked that they work with me on the charge as it seemed wrong to charge me the full amount since the practice is still showing in network on my insurance company's website. I was basically told by the billing person, sorry, pay the bill. Brett Basden built this practice by building the trust of the people of Auburn, including me, my father-in-law, mother-in-law, and the rest of my family. Now that trust has been sold to the highest bidder and I don't believe this is the way Dr. Basden or Dr. Pate want to do business. Unfortunately, it seems that they don't mind losing a patient over an $115 bill. What a shame. I will not be back.

    COMPLAINT UPDATE: I received a call this morning informing me the security footage proved we indeed…read moreleft the frames there, and unfortunately were lost at their location. They provided my mom with a new frame and lenses free of charge to rectify the matter and I am thoroughly pleased. ----------- My mom had her yearly eye exam at another location and the new glasses were too expensive; therefore, we brought her current frame and prescription to your location in order to get them filled. I received a text Friday July 3rd stating her glasses were in but we couldn't pick them up until today. We showed up and her glasses were not there, and the receptionist said we didn't leave them. We left them with the lady in the back and she walked them forward to the front where I paid the receptionist. They lost my mom's glasses and the receptionist could have cared less stating, "well I didn't lose them". Yes, you did. Eventually someone took us in the back in the back and stated that they would have to review the security camera as proof we did indeed leave them. Okay, fine I have no issue with that. Then she proceeds to tell me that the person that has the authority to review the cameras is traveling and out of the office for 3-weeks. This is a problem. My mom is 81-years old and really needs her glasses. Those were her main frames and the purpose of her leaving them there was to have sent them off and have the lenses input. To be fair they reimbursed the $195 I paid for the replacement lenses, but she needs her original frames in order to get them replaced at another location. I am seeking the frames we originally left there to be found and I do not think I am being unreasonable. Unfortunately, waiting three weeks is not an option and it should not be since your office lost them in the first place. I honestly feel the staff could care less and it is very disheartening.

    Horrible customer service!! The front desk people are extremely rude.. I made an appt for my son…read morefor contacts and they seen him for glasses and absolutely nothing was done to accommodate the problem.. I also was advised to drop my son glasses off so that he could get new lenses and when I arrived I was told to have a seat. I then explained that I was on a short break from lunch and I didn't have time to wait and ask did I need to call and set an appointment to drop the glasses off and the receptionist continued to be rude and nasty.. I called to speak to a manager once I made it back to work and the receptionist was the manager who hung up in my face mid through my complaint.
