Waited a week and a half just to give them time... really shows how much they care and how unprofessional they are. Don't waste your time - clearly not accepting new patients. And don't bother calling me after you read this (or pretend you can't find my request in your database) to do damage control, damage is done and I feel disrespected now. Dr.Elbert is a great general and cosmetic dentist and I'm glad I found a wonderful dental group to work with for the various procedures I've had. Additionally Dr. Elbert is on retainer as the dentist for the LA Rams. Over the past 2 years, I drive 40 minutes to see the office, which says something. I've had consultation and work done for root resorption which resulted in an implant, same day appointments for emergencies, cosmetic bonding, and currently working through invisalign. The front desk picks up the phone each and every time - important for emergencies, and is very friendly. Additionally, annual checkup reminder emails are sent to work email addresses which is convenient. Dr. Elbert doesn't upsell additional procedures unless the patient asks for them, and referrals to outside specialists are done in a timely manner as needed for the specific procedure. I've had a great experience with Amy at the front desk, Rita for implant consultation, Leslie in finance for payment optionality, Yvette as my dental hygienist, Dr. Nakano referral for extraction, Dr. Lopez for implant and bone graft in-house, and Dr. Ghahraman for root canal at Southern California Endodontics Westlake. I had an in person visit to start my Invisalign treatment and it went well, no waiting, very clean orderly and professional friendly staff. Dr. always checks on you to see if all things are going okay and I appreciate that. Office is very clean, nice decor. Following all the guidelines to adhere to the Covid rules. I appreciated today's visit. The hygienist was kind, warm, and freely gave suggestions such as a toothpaste that decreases inflammation. Also the dentist who checked me was personable and kind. Both the hygienist and the dentist never high pressured me into or mentioned additional actions for a price. Since I was a child I've always had issues with my teeth. I've been to a few different dentist in TO. I started going to this office a few years ago and they are the best by FAR. They had to basically redo everything my previous dentists had done because it was all botched. I never feel uneasy or a chance I'm getting unnecessary procedures/ripped off like I did at my previous dentist. Along with regular scheduled appointments, they go above and beyond to get me in when it's an emergency. FYI be very careful going to this dentist who recommends unnecessary treatments fillings. They took advantage of my senior parents because they have very good insurance. Always recommending treatments they did not need. They switched Dentist 2 years ago with no special treatments needed and teeth are great. Since then I know of 2 women who were told they both had 4 cavities that needed filling. They both went for second opinions and neither one has any cavity. Just don't want anyone to be taken advantage of like my parents were. read more

Let me start out by saying that Dr. Elbert seems like a nice man. Unfortunately he didn't seem knowledgable regarding cosmetic work. I had some questions regarding bonding and found out he doesn't really do this. Then I had a question about my bite and he couldn't really answer and said he recommends I go to someone more knowledgable. Then I asked about my new night guard that I had made somewhere else and was going to have redone since I wasn't happy with it. The doc didn't seem like he could really help with that either and just had generic answers like it looks alright. Anyhow he's nice but if I have an emergency I need a doctor who can fix the issue right away and from my 1 appointment I don't trust him to do this. Cleaning was so-so not great. I then find out they don't polish because of covid even though my previous dentist did polish even though it was covid. Whatever. Parking lot is small and I had a hard time getting a parking space. 2nd issue and really why I'm leaving a review at all. I also saw a periodontist at this office. Dr. Lopez seemed knowledgable and I had Marla submit a pre-approval to my insurance company. This process started 12/2/20. It is now 3/4/21 and I still can't get a pre-approval done. Here is the story--They did tell me I had the pre-approval. I call my insurance to verify codes and pricing it's total different pricing then what they quoted me. I notify the office regarding this around the 1st week of Feb. I have no response even though I emailed. Very unprofessional. I follow up a week later with a call, and am told they are trying to get a hold of my insurance company because they submitted the pre-approval under the wrong doctor. Ok. This is crazy at this point, and again I feel they are unprofessional in the way I was treated here with poor communication. Weeks have gone by now and I am getting the run around from Marla and still no pre-approval. I emailed Marla and offered my help to do her job to get this taken care of ---no response. I now have to push my surgery back because marla can't seem to take care of this nor do her job. I've had no issues getting a hold of my insurance company or getting quotes when I have called so at this point I suspect it's a bunch of BS. I really was hoping that this could be my new dentist but I am going to someone else. As far as the surgery it is really nuts that I can't get a pre-approval from these people and it's going on 3 months now. Is this normal? I think not. A frustrating experience all across the board. read more

Office staff are very kind and professional and the office is incredible clean and neat. Hygienist kept me informed on each step of my deep cleaning and several times checked to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Elbert is great. Very down to earth kind of guy. He uses an in mouth camera to let you see exactly whats going on so you know he's not suggesting extra and unnecessary work. This review is a long time coming. Dr. Elbert and his whole office team have been so wonderful. I am so grateful to have found them. Everyone works as a team and makes it easy. I came in almost 3 yrs ago after neglecting the dentist for over a decade. Not good. I had root canals, crowns, implants, and periodontal. After treating all my issues we've started teeth whitening and am in the final stages of invisalign. It really has been a journey. An expensive one for sure with as much work I needed, but pricing is very fair and communicated upfront with progress billing and payment plans available. They have helped me get back on track to a point where I finally feel proud of my teeth, smile, and hygiene which is priceless. For as much work and as many appointments I needed, it really has gone very smooth. I actually look forward to going to see my dentist family now and am committed to staying on top of my care, again priceless. They use some really advanced technology, make great reccomendations for products and care routine. They reccomend cleaning 2x/yr, I always ask for more, just to keep me proactive. It works for me. Not sure if Ebert is buying all these reviews, or if people are just oblivious. Elbert runs a dentist office that feels like a used car dealership. Mid-way through a cleaning they had me signing papers with someone's hands in my mouth agreeing to $1200 for a "deep cleaning". It was a regular cleaning with a topical numbing that they charge $250 per quadrant for. Upset, I said something in regards to "this is very expensive for the cleaning I just received" the hygienist is making more than the dentist...and was brushed off with "this is cheap!". I paid the bill in full at the time in the office, but then started receiving bills for additional fees, and late charges on those fees with no explanation. Yes, the office has all the latest technology, and Elbert seems like a nice enough guy, but I left feeling like I'd just bought a lemon and his team was there to sell it to me. Let's talk about Dr Elbert and smile design team for a second. I used to come to to Dr Elbert for my routine 6 month cleanings and then we moved out of the area. Tried finding a dentist even REMOTELY close to the excellence that is smile design but nothing comes close. I went to a dentist out near our new home, he sat me down made me watch a video about how horrible gum disease which was terrifying and then tried to tell me I needed a bunch of procedures that I've never heard of...I said no thanks, and decided to make the trek to thousand oaks smile design (over an hour away) because they are that great! I came in with a cracked tooth caused by a filling that was put in by another dentist. Dr Elbert walked through everything with me step by step, showed and explained to me where the issue was and made sure I felt comfortable with what he was doing. He not only was able to save my tooth, but he did so effortlessly and painlessly. He is amazing and I will continue to make the drive to see him and his team even if it is for a simple cleaning The only way they could possibly get any better was if there were multiple Dr. Elberts to just take over the dental industry! read more

I just moved to California and I stumbled upon the best Dentist I have ever been to!( I am no stranger to a Dentist's Office BTW...) From the Receptionists,Hygienists, and the Dentist everyone is helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating, they are great at what they do. The atmosphere is very relaxing, I watched a show on Netflix during my procedure. Dr Elbert is very thorough. He take his time with you and helps you understand everything.
