It wasn't a recent decision that I wanted to get a rhinoplasty, I had always been uncomfortable with my nose. It's not that it was particularly awful, I just never thought it suited myself, or my face. Only recently though, has actually doing this procedure become more real, when I knew I wouldn't JUST be thinking about it anymore, I knew I was going to do it. So I looked into doctors, found Dr. Browns page rather quickly and decided I would have to meet with him after reading his extensive qualifications (I also liked his private life section, hes a huge animal lover!). Now, Im someone who needs to research reviews on an eyeshadow for a week before buying it, so I figured I'd be seeing 100 different surgeons about this. But the first time I met Dr. Brown, and his incredible nurse Liz, I knew I wouldn't have to see anyone else. We all three connected and they completely understood all my goals I had in mind for my nose. They made all the stupid ways I described my ideas for this surgery : "take off the bump and make the tip look less..ball-ish" sound like..well, exactly what I had in mind. I felt at ease here, something I did not expect to feel at any Dr's office. Dr. Brown has given me the most beautiful new nose, swelling is still going down *as it does for about a year after rhinoplasty* but It is already exactly what I had wanted. He shaved down my hump, removed some cartilage from the tip of my nose to slender it out and lifted the tip so it is slightly perkier. My new nose fits my face and myself perfectly, it is so much softer looking and makes my eyes look larger. For years I've been contemplating if I should get a breast lift. On Feb 8, 2019 I decided to move forward with the Bellesoma Breast lift with Dr. Brown. After looking at multiple surgeons and wanting to get breast augmentation for many years, I chose Dr Daniel Brown. He had great reviews but I ultimately chose him based on research of his work and word of mouth from friends. In person, he is utterly professional yet warm and really shows you how committed he is to both your personal experience as a patient and the end result you desire. All his nurses and support team are so lovely and helpful. They are all happy to answer your questions and guide you through the whole experience even when you find unforeseen issues on the way. As to the end result and his surgical skills, I can only say that he is an artist. I ended up with amazing natural looking and feeling breasts that were way beyond anything I could have hoped for and my husband thinks they're pretty awesome too. The aftercare is top notch. Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? Because if so, I'm giving it to Dr. Brown. From the very beginning I was impressed. I first spoke with Melanie who was so warm and friendly and SO knowledgeable. It is so nice not to ask a question and hear back "let me find out and get back to you." They got me in right away because I told them I wanted my procedure ASAP and as soon as I had my first consultation I knew Dr. Brown was the right fit for me. He made an uncomfortable situation comfortable and addressed every concern and question I had. I never felt like I did at other consultations. I called multiple times with different questions and Valerie even told me I could text her! THAT was amazing. The staff did a great job of calming my nerves the morning of surgery and called and texted to check on me multiple times before coming in for my post-op. I had a question in the middle of the night (literally) and heard back almost immediately from Dr. Brown himself. It was just a wonderful experience all around and I can not recommend him highly enough. Now I go to him for all of my injectables too because because now I can never trust anyone as much as him! I decided to update my review since my initial review was pre-surgery. I had a full mommy makeover performed back in 2015 (wow, I can't believe it has been that long). I had lipo, a TT, implant and lift. Did everything come out perfect? No. Do I regret my decision? No. So what went wrong? The surgery was performed at a small clinic next to Sharp in Coronado and to be honest, it made me nervous after seeing the small room but I was thankful that there was a hospital next door with an ER. The surgery went much longer than expected. I can't recall the exact number but I believe it went 4 hours over. They claimed that I had more skin than what they saw at the pre-op appointments. Once I was cut open, they realized it was going to be more work. I was in a lot of pain, and as you know, the longer you are under anesthesia the more likely you are to have complications. I am a petite woman, 5'2 to be exact and I think that all of the work done was a bit too much for my body. I came out PALE, I was vomiting for days and had developed a fever. I ended up being admitted to the hospital at sharp where I was given antibiotics and fluids for about 2-3 days. I felt so much better! Was this the fault of the doctor? I am not sure, but the point is, I survived- but not without minor complication. I stayed hunched over well into week 8. It felt as though I was going to be ripped apart if I stood up. Right away, I noticed that my lower lady area did NOT look normal. I have no better way to explain my new lady "pooch" than to describe it as exactly that - a pooch! I am no expert, but it looks like they cut me so low that they stitched my stomach into my pubic area, so it's almost like a fat roll is there. It looks really awkward! I brought this up at my first appointment but was told that it is just swelling and fluid. One year later and even 4 years later, the pooch is there. Dr. Brown said I would need a revision surgery and would need to pay for material and anesthesia. To be frank, I think if as a surgeon your work comes out less than average, it should be corrected free of charge. I had gone through so much pain I did not want to pay to go through more pain, it was not worth it to me. I probably feel this way because I am married and I know that my husband does not mind. You cannot tell unless I am naked or am wearing a bikini- it looks a little chubby down there if you know what I mean. In addition to that, I was told that I needed a lollipop lift which I was not too thrilled about. They ended up doing a half anchor plus lift during surgery. It is what it is. Having said that -I sometimes experience contraction feelings in one of the breasts, I can feel it move around a little which is sometimes annoying! But I think that this symptom isn't too uncommon. Also, I cannot, I repeat... CANNOT work out my core. I get the worst pulling and cramping in my abdomen. The best way to explain it is that it feels like a baby is going crazy in my belly and being pulled out. I have NO IDEA what that is about. I assume nerve damage but I will never know exactly why I feel those tension pains. Now onto the positives: The lipo work was amazing!!! I have curves and shape that I never knew I could have and would go back to Dr. Brown in a heartbeat for it again. My belly button is adorable! I have seen friends and family get TT and they come back with deformed and unnatural looking belly buttons. Dr. Brown is skilled in creating new ones. My breasts are amazing! They look absolutely natural which is what I was going for. Overall I am satisfied. Was it a walk in the park? NO. And while everything didn't go perfect, I am still confident that he is a great doctor and is skilled at what he does. Regardless if you choose him or someone else, no surgeon is perfect and neither is the canvas that they use. :) PS: This is really a 3.5 rating. read more

I began seeing Dr. Brown in 2015 for Botox as a migraine treatment. He was knowledgeable in the area and took a conservative approach to be sure I want using more than necessary to curb the migraines. (It did curb them, with minimal treatment.) I have stayed with Dr. Brown for so long because he never treats me just like a number, and never suggests anything that I don't first inquire about. (This has happened to me at other practices. Ouch!) Over the years, I would ask about options on other cosmetic concerns with aging. He is always very informative and creative as far as finding a solution to my concerns by coming at it from more than one angle. I have since had Juvaderm filler, Pellavé, and Kybella treatments, all with results that exceeded my expectations. Dr. Brown'a office staff is warm and welcoming. From the minute I step foot in the office, I feel like I am there to catch up with friends. Amber at the front desk is friendly and sweet, and always strikes up a conversation while I wait. Melanie is the sweetest person you will ever have the pleasure of dealing with. She is always quick to respond to any requests I have, and we have had many laughs over the years. First of all, I am a real patient with real concerns and everything that comes with a plastic surgery like the fear and the curiosity and the skepticism. I am almost a foreigner so I am writing this review only to give an idea to you about how perfect he is. Yes he is perfect and he is a perfectionist. These are two different things and he is both! He was the first doctor I went to consult about my case and I didn't want to see any other doctor since I knew I would only trust my life with him. He listens to you, makes every effort possible to calm you down and put you at ease so that you feel as confident as he does. I am a very quick decision maker. I am a yes or no person, I don't like to dig in to justify my first impressions. I told him right away that I am not window shopping for my health. I know how difficult it is to recommend a doctor especially if it involves an operation room but please take my words seriously: He is the best in town! maybe in the country. I was nervous when I finally decided to get liposuction, but Dr. Brown put me at ease. I had plenty of time to talk with him about my goals, and the procedure, and the results thus far have been amazing. I can't wait ti be out of this compression garment and in a bathing suit! Getting an hour to set down and talk with the doctor about what you're exact wants/needs are was really nice. The medical assistant was super professional, and answered any questions I had from the start. Dr. Brown took the time to explain the procedure, recovery, and expectations. After surgery I had a question regarding what exactly I could return to exercise wise (I take pilates and weight training courses) so I sent his office an email. I was shocked by how fast Dr. Brown himself replied! he broke down all of the different workouts I like to do, into a time frame in which I would be cleared to do them. I also got a prescription for Retin-A, and purchased some more Latisse. (I've used Latisse for a while, but was happy to buy it from Dr. Brown!) I did liposuction 4 months ago for my back with transfer fat to my buttocks. Dr. Daniel did great job, he really professional and know what he do, although his price is high but his work deserve that. In addition, his staff very kind. I entirely recommend dr. Daniel. I just suggest that patients who are under full anesthesia should sleep for one night or at least stay in the hospital until they completely wake up, to avoid the complications of anesthesia. read more
