I wish I could rate him zero stars. This guy is an absolute con artist. He is young and is probably still drowning in Dental School debt. I saw him twice. Both times he tried to upsell me on expensive treatments that I don't need, according to another dentist. The first time I saw him my visit was 100% covered by insurance, as were all of my visits with his predecessor. I never paid a single cent. Apparently, he ceased taking my insurance and never informed me of it. On my second visit I was presented with a bill, which I didn't expect. I paid it at the time of service. This was very disappointing. After getting x-rays at another dentist, I was told that 4 of my crowns were placed incorrectly and need to be redone. I didn't believe the new dentist, so I got a 2nd opinion, who confirmed that I need 4 new crowns. I called and emailed this dentist, asking them help me redo the work. On the phone, they told me I need to email. I sent several emails and they ignored them all. Now I need to pay a new dentist thousands of dollars to repair what was done. read more

Dr. Avetoom was an honest, great dentist. My wife and I have gone to him over 15 years and really like him and his honest, high quality work. We also referred many people to him and they all liked him. Dr. Daniel Blanco must have a big loan to pay back because he is dishonest and a scammer. At my first appointment with him I told the DA I did not want x-rays. She argued for a while and then in he came in and started lying. He told me there is a law now that I had to get x-rays. I told him I have had enough radiation for now, no thanks. But he absolutely insisted. Not knowing the law, I had the x-rays done. So the girl doing the x-rays had no idea how to do them. After 4 or 5 failed attempts she had another girl come to help her. She stood by me holding the film in place in my mouth.....wow!! They fried me with so many x-rays I was stunned. They are extremely incompetent people. Dr. Blanco also told me bananas have more radiation than x-rays. I guess he thinks senior citizens are incapable of researching the internet. After a quick internet search at home I found there is a new law concerning x-rays and dentists. That law is only for people with MALPOSITIONED teeth. I was there for a cleaning and have NO malpositioned teeth. One dental x-ray is about 0.005 mSv, which is significantly higher than the radiation from a banana. One banana emits about 0.0001 mSv of radiation, meaning that eating 50 bananas would be roughly equivalent to one dental x-ray. What a liar. He did the same thing to my wife with the x-ray nonsense and she left. Then in my cleaning the girl must have been a trainee because she didn't even know how to turn on the rinse water. Also, the blonde girl in the front office was very rude to me and very argumentative. What a joke of a dentist office.....we are never going back and will be warning all the people we sent over the years to Dr. Avetoom to not go there. Dr. Blanco is the opposite of Dr. Avetoom. The service that Dr Blanco provides has left me speechless...From the moment I stepped into his office, I received top quality dental care. He is transparent, considerate, and definitely NOT stubborn. He takes time to listen to his patients, does a thorough check, and is extremely knowledgeable about the latest dental procedures and practices. He also cares about having the latest machines for a better patient experience. If you don't care about your teeth, then do not come here...because Dr Blanco will make sure his patients have amazing teeth. In a world like today, we need more Dentists like Dr. Blanco. I have gone to Dr. Avetoom for over 23 years. He was the best dentist I ever had. He fixed many teeth of mine over the years with minimal pain. Also, he was such a nice guy and I enjoyed the conversations we had over the years. Enjoy your retirement Dr. Avetoom! I wasn't aware that Dr. Avetoom had retired and came by for my scheduled 6 month dental cleaning. To my surprise, Dr. Blanco had taken over. He told me I needed to have x rays done before my dental cleaning because its been a long time since I had x rays. I told him I wasn't expecting to do x rays today and would do so in my next 6 month cleaning. He told me I needed to have x rays done today or next month in order to have my scheduled dental cleaning. I have 2 kids that I have to drive to and from school everyday. I also have work to do. I am busy. I told Blanco my busy schedule. I repeated to him that I will do x rays in my next 6 month cleaning. Also, I told him I usually don't want x rays done right now because I don't have insurance and would need to pay by cash. I drove from another city for my scheduled appointment. I take time out of my day for my scheduled dental cleaning and then he refuses to do so. What type of a person/dentist would do that? I was a patient of Dr. Avetoom for over 23 years, which Blanco mentioned to me as he was looking over my files. I am shocked by Blanco's treatment of a longtime patient of Dr. Avetoom like this. Dr. Blanco is the opposite of Dr. Avetoom. Dr. Avetoom was so nice and patient friendly. Blanco is stubborn and not patient friendly. He was excellent at his practice and was warm, welcoming and had a wonderful sense of humor. The transition to Dr. Blanco was not communicated so I found out when I was already in the chair for teeth cleaning. From that moment on it went downhill. Suddenly, I had (supposedly) the need for extensive dental work. The tone of the front desk team when I was presented with a hundreds of dollar bill was chilly and rude. When Mark owned the practice i paid nothing for routine cleaning as my insurance was billed. No need to drive to Tustin for my dental needs any longer. Mark, thank you for many years of good care. I am a new patient with Dr. Blanco's office. Honestly, I switched dental insurances due to a new employment and needed a new dentist. I found Dr. Blanco through the basic insurance recommendation and decided to give it a try since it's extremely close to home. I had a great pediatric dentist growing up with who, either luckily or not so much, got to see a great deal of me (lots of cavities as a kid lol), so finding a new dentist is difficult for myself. I am happy to say that I had a good experience! I am impressed with his modern technologies which makes the patient feel more comfortable. Also, the hygienist, Steven, was great! He was funny and gentle with my teeth. He listened to me without judgement and provided me with a lot of great knowledge and preventative treatments. Dr. Blanco was nice as well. He was thorough with the check up and suggested a few ways to deal with some fillings that have worn down over the years. He was collaborative in the treatment route (which I really appreciate because I hate feeling like I am being sold on a treatment that is not necessary). I will absolutely return to this office due to their staff (Danielle and Steven) and also Dr. Blanco's willingness to listen and collaborate. I switched from Lollipop Dental for my 5 and 9 year old kids. Lollipop was too busy, felt like a factory. I also started to question the procedures they recommended, and their billing to the insurance always overstated their actual work. This caused me to switch to Dr. Blanco's office. We saw Dr. Crystal for both kids and they were very happy. The care felt very personal, not rushed. The advice was very reasonable and not pushy. For example, Lollipop wanted to work on a cavity for a tooth that Dr. Crystal also noticed, but Dr Crystal said that tooth will fall out soon so there is no need to treat it. I appreciate the honesty in building a long term relationship rather than an office trying to get as much as they can from you in the visit. Highly recommended. read more

I honestly dislike going to the dentist. So I came here because I heard great things about the entire staff. From the moment I walked in, front desk staff were very welcoming. Came here for deep cleaning. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth has excellent skills, very gentle and I honestly didn't feel any pain. I unfortunately hadn't had my teeth looked at in a few years. I don't have dental insurance so you can understand why. I originally made an appointment here for jaw pain that I assumed was TMJ issues. Dr. Avetoom and his staff were a pleasure to meet. Everyone was so friendly and approachable. They were able to squeeze me in for a quick consultation for my jaw pain. After a short wait, Dr. Avetoom attended to me and I could immediately tell that he was one of those dentists you could wholeheartedly trust and he wouldn't sell you anything you didn't need. He told me that for the time being, I'd need to go easy on the chewing, so I had to start eating soft foods. He also prescribed me a muscle relaxant that definitely helped the healing process. After about 3 weeks of constant babying of my jaw, making sure I don't eat anything crunchy or opening my mouth too wide, I can finally say that it's gone down; the pain isn't there anymore although I still do feel some grinding from time to time. I have a dentist I love in Long Beach, but I recently moved and was looking for something closer to home. I made an appointment over five months ago for a teeth cleaning (that was the soonest they could get me in). When I arrived this morning, they had no record of my appointment. They did not even have it scheduled on another day. Which means when I called all those months prior, they did not even put me in the system. Joy did not seem to care in the least that their office had made an appointment for me that they could not keep. She offered zero sympathy or problem resolution. She acted as if I was inconveniencing her by expecting to have my teeth cleaned. AVOID or call to verify your appointment several times before arrival. My old dentist moved out of state and I have since been in a state of shock. No dentist! I don't like going to them, and I really don't like going to a new dentist that I know nothing about. So like a bad little boy, I quit going. I know this choice was a poor one, but I didn't want to go thru the drudgery of moving from dentist to dentist, until I found one I could live with. Out of the blue came this location. I called in and asked for May. She had been recommended by a friend who said she was friendly, polite, quality work, and will nicely tell you what you are doing wrong. Since I had failed to go for quite some time she recommended a deep cleaning over several sessions. I was not overly enthused, however based on the length of time between dentists, I decided to suck it up and go with her recommendation. She did a great job, my mouth feels so much better, and I didn't have a single cavity! I will be back exactly on time for my next visit. I absolutely recommend May as an exceptional Hygienist. I only had a short discussion with the dentist since I had no other issues. He checked over X-rays, and he let me in on what to expect over the coming years. Nice guy, but since he had little to do with my visit, my review is for May and the amazingly nice group of ladies that work behind the counter. I haven't been to a dentist in 10 years because there was always pain associated with whatever was needed to be done and I was scared of what was coming. Finally a good friend highly recommended Dr. Avetoom as the pain free dentist. I needed 2 crowns and 1 extraction by the time I went in. The work was scheduled in 2 treatments of about an hour each. Dr. Avetoom was so personable even talking about his personal life was very disarming and calming. Both times I never felt a thing, not even hours later! For me he's the best dentist in the world. I had to choose a new dentist as mine was no longer in my network. I was having wisdom tooth pain and chose Dr. Avetoom. I hate going to the dentist. Always scared. Dr Avetoom is a great dentist. Super chill and very personable. The office was able to get me scheduled right away for my wisdom tooth extraction. Once in the office, the front desk ladies were nice and attentive. I was a patient of Dr. Avetoom 20 years ago when I lived in Tustin. I have recently moved back to Orange County from Illinois and I am a patient of his now. He was a great dentist 20 years ago and he is a great dentist now! I cannot say enough about his great bedside manner and how much he has shown me he really cares. I have needed extensive dental work-root canals and even one extraction. Throughout everything, he has been gentle and caring and TRUSTWORTHY! I always know that he will never do anything that does not need to be done. In my time away from Dr. Avetoom I have unfortunately been treated by less than average dentists that did not put me first and only cared about money OR just did not do the best work. Dr. Avetoom is very knowledgeable, thorough and patient. He is also highly respected by others in his profession which means a lot. I know that I will always be treated with the utmost care and respect by the staff here. Finding this dentist office 5+ years ago has been a game changer for me. Without boring you with all my dental drama, I will just tell you that they will take such good care of your mouth and teeth. She was very helpful, courteous , and pleasant. Cheryl was my hygienist. She was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable and talked me through my whole exam and cleaning. When I got a bad toothache, I was eager to get in to any dentist as soon as possible because I was in excruciating pain.. so I went to the first dental office who could fit me in on a Saturday. What a mistake that was.. an hour long wait past my appt time, the extremely impersonal dentist blasted my painful tooth with cold water without warning me first, then informed me after a 15 second examination that I'd need two root canals and come to find out, the cost would be over $3,000!! I literally cried in the chair before leaving in incredible pain and feeling hopeless about ever getting my teeth fixed. Fast forward through a week of constant pain, my mom and her client referred me to Dr. Avetoom. I've never been anxious about visiting a dentist before, but after my terrible experience a week earlier, my stomach was in knots from the early morning till my appt. Turns out I had nothing to fear :) just walking in and being greeted by the front office staff had a calming effect. They are so sweet and helpful. The office is beautiful, very clean and very well taken care of. The dental assistant, Katie, was a lovely, gentle girl and really helped to put me at ease. Dr. Avetoom was fantastic. He did a very thorough, in depth examination to really understand the problem I was having and was able to make a great plan for fixing it. Lo and behold I only needed 1 root canal, not 2! And he was able to see other small problems the other place had missed! He was able to do my root canal that same visit, and it was relatively painless as far as root canals go! He was so gentle and I found myself smiling several times. While having a root canal!! How many people do you know who smile during a root canal?? He was very personable & funny and kept my mind off of everything. Before I knew it, we were done! And the cost was a third of the price the other rip-off place had quoted me! I have found my new "forever" dentist. I can not recommend him any higher. If I could give him 10 stars I would! Thank you Dr. Avetoom! You have restored my faith in good, honest dentists! read more

I'm so happy my friend referred me to Dr. Avetoom. I broke a tooth with a huge old filling in it and thought for sure I was going to be told I needed an implant. To my pleasant surprise Dr Avetoom said he could fix it with a crown. Which of course saved me tons of money..and pain. He was particular about the fit of the crown and even sent it back to the lab so it fit better which i really appreciated. Today I went back for a cleaning and check up.
