Initially, we were going to go the TAKL route but it was tough to price with a single provider on the app. Having had previous success with Yelp, we decided to use that to search for handyman services. We saw several with mixed reviews then saw Al's with 5-stars. I was hesitant at first given there were only six reviews at the time. However, after reading each one, and realizing that Al was a hands-on business owner, we decided it wouldn't hurt to get a quote. Al responded to the request very quickly and showed up on time. After I showed him all the work that needed to be done, I asked whether he happened to know how to program a garage door keypad. Without any hesitation, he read the instructions on the keypad, flipped the garage light assembly where the switch to program was and helped me figure it out. Turns out the battery on the keypad just needed to be replaced. He even left me a little screw driver so I could open the battery compartment once I got the 9v battery I needed. He did all this "gratis"! While I had originally planned to get more quotes, this small act of kindness demonstrated Al's commitment to customer service, which is unfortunately rare to find these days. Additionally, I told Al that we neither had the tools nor supplies needed to do all the hanging and installation work and he said he would take care of getting them. As such, we decided to move forward and scheduled him for the work. As expected, Al showed up on time yesterday, got the job done quickly and well. He accepts payment via Zelle which was a big plus. My sister was quite pleased with his work and has asked Al for another quote do screen replacement for her back patio. So here's the short version of my review. If you need work done around your house, call Al -- you will definitely be happy you did. Glad we found you Al! If I or my family and friends ever need work done, we now have someone we can trust will get it done fast and done well! Thanks!!!

Vitalii is responsive but that's about all I can say that's positive…read more Unfortunately I had a terrible experience using this business. Vitalii came unprepared to complete the job I hired him for and kept telling me it was because I told him I have LVP flooring when he saw with his own eyes it wasn't LVP prior to doing the project when he came to give me a quote. He did half the job I paid him for, and said he would come back to finish the job at a later date. I paid him in full (completely my mistake) and followed up multiple times to schedule a date and time on when to expect him to finish the project. His response was he would have to stop by following the other jobs he was working on at strange times like late in the evening, and was wishy washy and vague on what day he would ever be stopping by again. It's funny because it certainly wasn't that complicated scheduling him to come out to start the job, finishing it is a different story though. He left a mess for me to clean up when he finished half the work he was paid for, including baseboards filled with nails left on the floor of the room he was working in, and unplugging my garage door to use my miter saw and then not plugging it back in or letting anyone know he even unplugged the garage door. It's really a shame because finding a reliable, quality handyman is so difficult. I was hoping that Vitalii being responsive spoke to his integrity and reliability. I was mistaken on that assumption. I would not recommend.

After trying different construction contractors, I found out that only handyman can solve my problems. Unfortunately, the first handyman I came across was a con artist who scammed me and left. Then I came across Jazzy's handyman Service. I called and Deshawn came and looked at the work in the bathroom and kitchen and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the estimate, and he prepared a contract and we signed it. I was surprised when I noticed that he never included what portion of the estimate I should pay in advance. When I asked him, he told me that I would pay him at the end of the project. That was a sign of his confidence in the quality of his work, which impressed me!! We set the date when he would start the project. I was following the day-to-day progress of the project. Deshawn is highly disciplined, enjoys his work, gets lost in his work and loses tracking time. He never cuts corners. He enjoys his work; it is a real meditation for him. This became clear to me when he told me that he left his profession that he was trained for at college up to master's degree, environmental engineering.
