We recently…read morecelebrated and surprised my mom for her 80th birthday, and from beginning to end, the experience was truly exceptional. We booked the Royal Room, and Demetria, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate my family. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made the entire process seamless and stress-free. The party host was also outstanding. Both were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making the celebration special. The skating rink was extremely busy with multiple parties going on, yet that never stopped Demetria or the staff from providing top-tier customer service, not just to us and our guests, but to all the skaters I observed throughout the facility. That level of care, cleanliness, and attention to detail truly stood out where you can be confident in knowing this is a manager who leads by example. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, my mom's 80th birthday was beyond amazing. I couldn't be more pleased, and I will absolutely be planning additional family celebrations at Skate Express for years to come. Please extend a heartfelt thank you to Demetria and her entire staff for going above and beyond. Highly recommend

I was experiencing irritation in my ankle from stiff skates but they put bandage and tape to prevent it from getting worse. These pros are the real deal, full package. Keep this gem in chino open as long as possible. I highly recommend the lessons on Saturdays from 11-12 because you also have free skate with a dj after. Love skate express.

Super affordable to skate too- $12 on a Sunday for 2.5 hrs skating. It's extra for skates but we brought our own. Notes: **The calendar said the vibe was "top 40" for this session but there were a lot of songs that brought the energy down. Would love more upbeat music. **My brother did say there was no doors in the men's bathroom... like at all, every stall is open. I'm not sure the reason for that but it seemed pretty unsafe. Women's had doors. Will be back!

Highly recommend coming here. Associates here are all so nice especially met the owner Don this afternoon during a Thanksgiving playdate w Harpers Friend 11.25.25 The Dj/host is awesome playing the latest and all time greatest hits! They have a clipboard also for songs request. They are interactive with you hosting skating games during open skate or Birthday parties too where they also do a shout out for the bday celebrant. Where the winners get a free coupon for over at the Snack bar. Love the vibe here. Really clean but of course some areas are a little bit older. It's just giving nostalgic vibes here. Have a snack bar that serves icee, fountain drinks, pizza, nachos, churros and so much more. The skating rink been open for 52 years. Located right off the 55 Freeway, Chapman Ave. Lots of parking available. Tip always check out their website for Thanksgiving/Winter/Summer or holiday Breaks. They have special hours of open skate events along with special prices admission. They also offer these HOLIDAY session card for 10 entrance for $ 120 and it saves you in the long run. Comes out to be $ 12 admission fee. You can use the session card on multiple of your guest. Which makes it an awesome deal. FYI there's a $ 5 fee for adults non skater/spectator fee.

If you bring your own you don't have to rent or pay a fee, just your ticket for entry. It's been more packed now so the line to get in is longer, getting a table is harder, parking is worse. PARKING: The parking lot is small so I had to park around the block, but it's not a long walk. But now that's it's busier you have to drive around the block tryna find street parking. INSIDE: The place itself is super cute. They have a small store where you can purchase skates and skate accessories, They have tables and lockers, Vending machines, photo booth, the skate rental area, bathrooms and floor is carpet(for safety) and of course the skating rink. FOOD: They also sell food and beverages. And have vending machines next to the rink. Water, Soda, pizza, slushys, popcorn, nachos and a few more things I can't think of right now( basically snacking food). Online they have their calendar with the "events". Each "event" is themed/based on a. Artist, music genre, or age range. Some nights are 18+ others are all ages. So I would recommend looking into the theme of the night before going.

The lot fills up fast and the surrounding neighborhood doesn't offer many options, so I ended up parking at the nearby Home Depot and walking over like a lot of other people. There was a long line to get in. My wife got inside before me while I parked. When I arrived, I was told I could go to the front since I already had a ticket and skates. I gave the woman at the door my name and explained my wife had already paid for my rental, but she didn't believe me. She shut the door on me multiple times while trying to verify. I had to text my wife to come confirm it. Eventually I got in, but it was frustrating. One of the male employees did apologize to my wife, which I appreciated. We skipped renting a locker and just left our stuff in a bag on top of the lockers. Once we got on the floor, we had a good time. The rink filled up quickly and at times it felt a bit crowded. There was a mix of beginners along the outer edge and more experienced skaters in the center, with everyone trying to find their lane. Saw quite a few falls, but the staff in referee shirts did a solid job keeping people moving and enforcing the no stopping rule. They don't allow cameras on the rink, but phones are okay. Overall, despite the rough start at the door, we still had fun. It's one of the few rinks in the area, so we'll likely come back and hope for a smoother experience next time.

They are right outside the rink so parking and walking over was super convenient. The parking has a limit of 90 minutes which is the same amount of time for one skating session so that worked out perfectly. There was also a parking lot nearby but I didn't wander over there. The inside of the facility is huge as well as the ice rink itself. I had registered online ahead of time, so I just had to give them my name at the check in counter. The rental skates are right next to the check in and u just told them my size. I should have gotten half a size smaller than my sneaker size for a snug fit. It's also better to wear thicker socks for a more comfortable wear since the skates can be quite stiff. There are benches to sit and change into the skates. Inside the rink there are benches and locker too (need two quarters). I left my shoes under the bench in the main lobby area and it was fine. One of the skates had wet shoelaces which I thought was weird, but other than that the skates were nice and clean. The inside of the rink area was quite cold so I'm glad I brought gloves. There were more people than I expected. (More than the website was showing how many people registered.) Despite the number of people, there was still a lot of space on the ice. The ice wasn't too bad, but I wish it was smoother. Over time, it got rougher from all the people skating. There were some tiny chips/dips in the ice too, which isn't very safe to skate over. Skating over them caused me to lose balance for a quick second. Thankfully no falls. I wish they would smooth it out at least once during the session. It's quite loud on the ice and hard to talk. The bench area was fine though.

I go way back with Gil, even into the ice hockey days. Brian and Gil are both really neat guys. It was really cool when they were able to add the roof and the side covers so roller hockey would almost never be interrupted due to inclement weather. They have a good number of heavy duty fans that keep the place at a decent playing temperature even when it's hot outside. So, I retired from roller hockey at 36 years old, which was 14 years ago now. This place has always been my first choice for roller hockey play. For a few years, I even coached the younger kids with my great friend Bill, who is now a Rink manager here for Gil and Brian. From time to time, I come back and visit. I watch my friend Bill play, just watch any games that are going on when I pass by, and I have other friends and even a neighbor that has a son that I came to watch him play. About six years ago, I came back and played a one day tournament to benefit the family of my good friend Wayne that played here as he had passed on. Through the years playing and just being here, it is family that we always are to each other. Here, they have some cool stuff to offer. It is cool to get items from the snack bar when it's open. They have a pro shop where you can get equipment items for all your roller hockey needs. They have sitting and standing areas to watch the roller hockey games. They even have a big screen TV surrounded by three couches that you can watch sporting events on. I am so grateful that this building and CSHA was established and has been here for so many years!!! I highly recommend anyone who wants to play whether adult or youth, any ages, male or female, there is a team for everyone to play at very competitive prices here! Game on!!!
