Driving up to the grounds was an experience on its own. Beautiful. We got the chance to check in a bit early and get to our room, The most beautiful room I've stayed in. The views alone were magical. waking up and seeing the Golden Gate Bridge was part of the experience. Spacious rooms with separate shower and big tub to soak in. His and her sinks were a nice touch! Two sided fireplace. We stayed in the rooms not cottages. Breathtaking views. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful! They have a wine session from 4-6 daily which is a nice touch. Good wine selection. Only downfall- we had requested and confirmed numerous times for champagne and wine for a celebration to be set up in the room as a surprise. That wasn't done and had to contact front feet after getting into our room. Not sure if they forgot or miscommunication? Was confirmed a few times. Grounds itself are beautiful and great for a walk while staying there! You can walk up to the water area for closer views and it's beautiful on a sunny SF stay! Thank you for an amazing stay Cavallo Point!

BEST ADVICE EVER. Even before we got there I could tell how nice and accommodating the entire staff was. we booked the upgraded little bungalow and the famous Calistoga Mud Bath. It was worth every penny to ensure my wife had the most wonderfully relaxing birthday she could imagine. The room was great, the pool and hot tubs were fantastic, the bungalow had its own soaking tub inside as well, but the mud bath was insanely relaxing and leaves your skin feeling amazing. The grounds are beautiful as well, they have bikes you can take for a spin, and bocci ball which I personally love as well. tons of great eats with 5 mins from the property. I couldn't recommend more. 10/10 Stars

We had the best experience enjoying their three hot springs pools each at a different temperature. Two were jacuzzi pools and the other a swimming pool. All three of these are under a large metal covering. There are lockers and changing rooms right next to the pools. We also experienced their mud baths and in spa showers. Some guests were staying on property. Golden Haven offers other services such as massages and herb mineral baths and detox soaks with salt scrubs. It was a very healing experience. If you are visiting Calistoga, check out Golden Haven. It is a family owned and operated business. All staff is friendly and helpful.

Finally got up here for the viral Pancake Hike! While I love the concept, this was probably a…read moreone-time experience for me. We arrived at West Point Inn around 8:50 AM, 10 minutes before they even started serving pancakes, and the line was incredibly long. We were optimistic about how quickly it would move, and figured we'd probably wait an hour and half. Wrong! We didn't get our pancakes until 12:30 PM, so the wait ended up being 3.5 hours. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, but we were absolutely starving. I think their ordering system could've been a bit more efficient, since the menu options are so limited. They only have plain and blueberry pancakes (I chose blueberry) with a few sides, so having servers running the orders down seemed unnecessary. Cash and Venmo are accepted, but I recommend bringing cash because service up there is unreliable. The pancakes were pretty good, but my favorite part of the experience was easily the hummingbirds! They have several feeders up on the porch, and I'd never seen so many hummingbirds swarming at once. It was beautiful to watch, especially with the San Francisco skyline in the background. Overall, it's a wonderful event in theory, but not worth doing more than once.

They only have this event 6 times a year or so - definitely highly recommend! We woke up super early because parking fills up fast, we arrived around 8:30 am or so and the top parking lot was full. We snagged a spot in the lower lot and it filled up within 10 minutes. It was definitely a hike, the first few miles weren't too steep, but the last mile I was fighting for my life. But once we were there, we hopped in line - which looked long, but it all moved quickly. All the volunteers working there were so friendly and warm. We ordered the pancake breakfast with sausage, and some coffee and hard boiled eggs. Definitely an experience! Glad I could check this off my bucket list! Eating pancakes in the mountains above the clouds will be a fond memory. 10/10 highly recommend!
