But I would mark a couple of stars down for the lack of bathrooms (so guests would have to use porta potties, albeit nicer ones, but still it wasn't fun) and also for the really poor lighting on the outdoor "dance floor" (with it being so dark with no lighting whatsoever, I was surprised no one tripped and fell). We had our wedding in September 2023 at the Outdoor Art Club, and I could not be happier with every detail. We had visited many venues, and nothing gave us the right vibe until we stepped foot into the OAC. What's most important to me is always the people, and every single person we got to work with there was beyond helpful and kind. David helped us plan out the most perfect layout for our group. He is so fun and a true delight to be around. He made everything flow and planning with him was a piece of cake because he knows exactly what to do! Mary was welcoming from Day 1, super responsive always, and a pleasure to work with. Kenny was also a great person to meet, and he does a great job with the grounds - always offering a kind word and a smile! Hilary was there the day of our wedding and she kept everything in check. Beyond the people, the venue is so naturally beautiful and has such a storied history. Guests were so happy to be there, and kept commenting on how beautiful the flowers and grounds were kept. You also cannot beat the location to downtown Mill Valley, and yet it still feels very tucked away and private from the hustle and bustle of the town! We are so happy to have had our special day at the Outdoor Art Club with all the wonderful OAC staff and volunteers who made it a happen.

The space was perfect for everything we needed, and although we had our ceremony down the road at Old Mill Park, it would have been a beautiful place to have that too. The space is so gorgeous it needs very little additional decoration, and everything you add is just magnified by the surroundings. As a historic building in a small town they have a number of rules and restrictions, and when we decided to book I did wonder if they might be difficult to plan around. But it wasn't hard at all, and everything from the decor to the music was exactly as I hoped and not held back at all. I would definitely strongly recommend booking vendors who are familiar with OAC though, because with them you never have to worry about a thing, knowing they have it handled! I'll specifically mention music volume, as that was the main thing I worried about - we wanted a dance party, and we got one without any issue! Our DJ (Airsun) was really familiar with OAC and with our coordinator (Stacey Dillon) - who herself works there all the time - and they all knew what they needed to do, so I didn't worry for even a second about it. And I never would have guessed there were any sound restrictions by the experience, it didn't hold back the party at all. The facilities manager Dave did a great job with setup and was so kind and helpful about drop off and pickup of all our stuff. We also worked with Rodney of Marin Event Lighting to hang bistro lights (he is the only one allowed to do it) and they were gorgeous and perfect. They also require you work with one of their approved caterers, and Sage did a phenomenal job! OAC is a stunning hidden gem in Mill Valley and I would highly recommend it for any event!

The rental rates are unbeatable! They have a parking lot on site, all the chairs, tables, serving wear, kitchen items, cooking items, stereo system, industrial dish washer, etc that you need to have a small (under 75 person) wedding. Lynn is great and very helpful (she is the contact person for rentals). You do have to get event insurance but no extra insurance for having alcohol like most places do. You don't need to use a specific caterer or even have one if you don't want. It is quit and peaceful and just perfect! Only down sides are it is a little harder to get to, there aren't a ton of options for hotels, and you have to take the garbage somewhere else to dispose of it (they don't have garbage pick up on site). Over all, AMAZING views, UNBEATABLE prices, EVERYTHING you need, peaceful, and BEAUTIFUL. Even if I had all the money in the world, I would get married here again!

We had three places to choose from for our wedding and Christ Church was by far the best place imaginable! Nilo and I never dreamed of having a church wedding. We have been together in a committed same sex relationship for 19 years. When the law prohibiting same sex marriage was toppled in June 2013, we knew immediately we wanted to marry in Sausalito as it was the site of one of our first dates back in 1995 and figured prominently in our lives since then. While looking for a venue, we stumbled on Campbell Hall using a Google search. I sent an e-mail to the address listed inquiring about the Hall and within minutes received a response from the rector, Father Chip Larrimore, saying that not only could we use the Hall, we could be married in Christ Church and he would be honored to perform the ceremony. I was floored. Nilo and I, both Catholics, stopped going to Church some years ago. We had no idea the Episcopal Church was so accepting and welcoming. We went to see this incredibly beautiful church last July (2013) and met Father Chip. We knew as soon as we walked in that we would marry there and booked the date for July 4, 2014. We also started attending this beautiful church built in 1882 and became members in January 2014. Neither Nilo nor I had ever experienced such a welcoming community in our lives. We live in South Hayward and drive 57 miles every Sunday to attend Mass there with our new "faith family". While some of the reviewers listed "cons" along with their "pros", I have no "cons" to mention. Everything was incredible. While parking is limited, we hired a shuttle service which was quite reasonable to bring our guests up to the church and take them back. Pure Luxury was the service and they did a wonderful job. It took all the stress out of parking for our guests and they all had a great time on the short ride up the hill. Our reception was held at the Spinnaker Restaurant in Sausalito. Guests parked at Spinnaker and were shuttled to and from the church from there. We used Campbell Hall for lunch for our wedding party and for a short cocktail hour immediately following the wedding before our reception began. The Garden, which is adjacent to the Campbell Hall and across the street from the Church, is so beautiful and the best of our wedding photos were taken there. The entire wedding was everything I dreamed it would be and more. I am attaching some photos of the church and our wedding day there. And on top of that, the gorgeous view of the San Francisco Bay at twilight was unforgettable. The building itself has a traditional feel and high ceilings, and the French doors on each side let in the breeze. We put the bar on the veranda, which was a great spot for those who wanted to step outside and enjoy the evening air. There's a huge, newly renovated kitchen, which my caterer loved, three bathrooms, and even a small nursery with a crib for babies. The music (sound) level was fine from my acoustic trio, and there's a built-in speaker system for those who want to use it. Many of my guests stayed in Sausalito Hotels and walked to the wedding, in historic Christ Episcopal Church across the street. I've gotten loads of compliments from guests on my unique and charming Sausalito wedding. Thank you Campbell Hall!

The coordinator seems to hand off much of her duties to the in-house catering coordinator (who is great) but which led to miscommunications that could have been avoided. Getting responses to emails was usually slow (sometimes 2 weeks!) so we would often just call directly to get answers. Not sure if this is true, but it felt like we were their first wedding. Overall we'd highly recommend the property, just be ready to be very proactive.

Our first visit was with Nancy who was the previous coordinator. She was great! Once we decided to book this venue Nancy was no longer with Unity and Heidi had taken over. Heidi is the reason for a one star. We met with Heidi several times before the wedding. She was never there for the appointments saying she put it for the following week. She had no clue who we were when she finally did show up. One of the things that is in the contract is that we would get a coordinator for the rehersal and day of the wedding for the entire wedding. Heidi Assured me that if I labeled everything she would set it up. An hour before the wedding nothing had been set up. The groom had to direct everyone on where to set things up. She also let me know that there would be 3 coordinators throughout the event (Heidi, her daughter, and Aribella). I was really trusting in Heidi to set things up. I went through every single decoration and labeled where it went. The coordinators set nothing up. Nothing. Also the last coordinator left 2 hours before the wedding ended. I am shocked at how poorly everything was handled. The venue alone has many perks but the service was awful.

The outdoor courtyard doesn't have natural shade, thus it is very exposed to the sun. Please make sure that you have enough umbrellas for your guests, as the wedding I attended there were only enough umbrellas for maybe half of the tables, and even the tables that were fortunate to have an umbrella it was not enough shade could not cover everyone at the table, so guests were standing under the archway to get of out of the heat, because people were burning up, especially the men in their full suits. An option would also to be invest in a misting fan. Second observation, at the wedding we attended, the dinner tables were outside while the dance floor was inside a building. This made it rather awkward and separated. I would recommend putting a dance floor outside to make it more welcoming and encompassing as one event.
