Located right by the Valencia public market and a five minute walk from the cathedral, this place is great. I came here on my own and it was busy, but I found a table. The servers were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a wide selection of tapas, which are truly traditional and so good. They also offer full dinners / plates here too if you don't want tapas. But seriously, the tapas portions are generous and the best part is they are just the right size to order multiple different kinds of tapas to try. I ordered a Tinto de Verano (summer wine) to drink, which is more refreshing than regular sangria. It's a mix of red wine with Casera, which is a less sweet version of Sprite and a sweeter version of Perrier (so somewhere in between). It's GREAT. Definitely recommend.

Beer for me, white wine for the wife, and then some tapas to share--gambas a la plancha, pimientos de padrón, calamares fritos, & alcachofas fritas. Everything was delicious, super fresh, and the highlight was for sure the artichokes. Fried perfectly. Service was also great. Food came out fast. Wine flowed. We liked the place so much, we returned a couple days later for breakfast. Hard to beat the view and vibes here.

I think with a false pretense that this is a Ricardio camanaarea , "michelen" cook restaurant run by who ever runs it makes it seem better than what it is. Just average at best. Burgers came out raw (hope we dont get sick) food came out cold, salmon cone was so fishy, pad tai was edible, pork ribs lacked flavor . In general came with such high expectations so many other options in valencia for 250 euros we spent.

Eating at the beach in Valencia is a bit of a mess without reservations, even during off season…read more Despite the relative calmness in many central restaurants for lunch in February, attempting to get a bite beachside is quite a challenge. After being turned away by multiple restaurants, Luz de Luna kindly accepted us. The restaurant looks about the same as the rest of the beachside spots here. Very casual, with slightly distressed exterior design that certainly does not add anything positive to the general image of Valencia's brown sanded beach. But, when food rather than theater is the primary objective, it is actually the spot to be. Service was efficient and pleasant. There are quite a few gems on the menu aside from paellas. Cuttlefish bladders was an interesting dish to be shared. Calamari is excellent. Paella is very good, although for my personal preference the rice was a bit undercooked, it is only a matter of preference. All around, while I probably would not go out of my way for another meal at this establishment, it is an excellent choice in the area.

The amount was more than enough for a party of 3. Ambiance was casual with a mix of locals and tourists. Definite recommendation.

Immediately when you step in, the thick, acrid smell of cigarette smoke hits you in the face. Combined with an overly warm interior, the smell gets hard to breathe through if you're not a smoker, and sinks into your food and clothes. The intense warmth of the interior makes you very uncomfortable as you wait for your meal to be prepared. The lighting in here is dim and palely light. It's not very appetizing; the lighting gives the interior an almost haunted quality. We decided to order their vegetarian paella. While it was good, it was quite bland; the lack of flavor was very upfront. I couldn't really discern any one ingredient from the other; they kind of blended in together. Overall, I can't recommend here.
