While exploring Eugene on a walk this store beckoned me to come inside. This shop had such a light cool vibe. I was not in need of flowers at the time but did purchase some cool stickers (at a very reasonable price). . Although I will say the floral displays were gorgeous. Why I am giving 5 stars is because of the delightful service we experienced from the vivacious Rose who helped us. She was such a breath of fresh air (especially after having an unfriendly experience at Farm Union Coffee). I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Dandelions yet! My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years for beautiful floral arrangements by their expert designers. Tonight, I went in on behalf of my work to purchase an arrangement as a condolence to a local restaurant who's owner recently passed away. I just got off work and had just scooped up my toddler. I wanted to get there before closing time to pickup an arrangement for the early morning. I headed there, with my busy-bodied toddler, and was glad I got there approximately 45-minutes until closing. I went inside while holding my toddler because I was nervous about her walking around. We ordered an arrangement, made on site upon order, and the designer was beyond helpful! I wish I would have caught her name, it all three women in the store were incredibly helpful, patient, and understanding. The designer asked some general questions to get a feel for what I was looking for. Something soft colored and pleasant is what I landed on. As the designer worked on the arrangement in the back, I had an anxious toddler who wanted out of my hands at all cost. I walked around, held her hands (so she wouldn't destroy anything) as she smelled the flowers. This worked for quite some time until she got bored. So we tried other games between her and I and we kept moving. One kind woman even got my daughter a cute little flower for her to play with. She loved this until all she wanted to do was...well, eat it. It was an amazing distraction! Then the woman even helped me entertain my little toddler. I'm not a fan of electronics for a toddler and it was super nice to have another person help me out after a long day of work as well. Another woman working worked around my daughter and me as I had to let the little one roam under my close supervision. Every employee talked, engaged, and complimented my little one. They were beyond kind and proved exactly why my family and I have loved coming here over the years. The arrangement gets completed and the designer showed me. I was in absolute awe. Not surprised because Dandelions has always made the most gorgeous arrangements, but merely in awe. I was beyond pleased with how it turned out. They even helped me load it into my car as it was a large arrangement. I just cannot say thank you enough to these kind women who were working tonight! read more

Dandelions is the very best place to find the most beautiful arrangements! I received a vase arrangement and plant basket this week (my mother passed away) from them that were absolutely gorgeous. I then bought a spray for her celebration of life at her gravesite and it was then placed on her grave (the engraving isn't done yet) and it's another beautiful arrangement. I called from out of state after seeing the good Yelp reviews.. I paid $110.00 including delivery to have a bouquet sent to my daughter for her 21th birthday.. I asked her to send a picture of it once it arrived, and when she did I was very unhappy.. It looked like a 29.99 arrangement at BEST!!! 4 carnations, 1 rose, several other cheap flowers and lots of greenery!! Super disappointed.. I got a phone call from the owner and apparently my original order was sent to the wrong person and I got someone else's order She insisted on sending a new arrangement and it was beautiful, large and took my breathe away!! I ordered a $55 tulip arrangement. After placing the order, I got a call from the shop saying they didn't have enough tulips for a full bouquet. I could either mix in some other flowers, or wait a day. I told them to mix in something nice and send it the same day. When I got a picture of the flowers from the recipient, it was obvious that the tulips were wide open and well past their prime. I'll be surprised if they last more than a day or two. The tulips shouldn't have been sold; I'd have preferred that they just told me the flower wasn't available that day, and I'd have ordered something else that was fresh and would last. We came here to order flowers for a funeral. The staff were extremely friendly and patient with our indecisiveness and offered good suggestions. The place smelled wonderful and was well organized. The parking lot was small, and be careful going in, as there is a bit of a lip on the driveway. There is a copy shop around the corner which you also should patronize, as they're friendly and inexpensive (the woman there cautioned me about my untied shoelaces in a not-very-patronizing way). My mother also left her fleece jacket here by mistake and they kept it for us until we returned. The only sad thing is that they're named after an invasive species. read more

This review should have been made earlier but better late than never. It's difficult to find a good florist, especially when you're grieving. Unfortunately when my best friend's father passed away, I made the mistake of contacting Dandelions. They were unhelpful and not willing to work with us with our needs. We didn't need arrangements, we just needed stems given the set up that was being developed in the wake of our tragedy. They cattily told me they don't sell flowers in boxes like they arrive from the wholesaler and sent us on our way to figure something else out. Being in the floral business years ago, I know the attitude all too well but I thought that I'd give it a chance at least. Nope, still would rather just skip the stuck up tune and go about it a different way. As usual, I like to remind folks that the flowers you see in the supermarkets, whereas they may not be properly cared for all the time given the circumstances are the exact same stems, from the exact same farms that florists like Dandelions work with. They're only more expensive due to the overhead of a small business and the "creativity" that's involved. Be kind to people, word of mouth is important.
