Based on the positive reviews here I was hopeful this would be a contractor I could consider. Made…read morea call and spoke to a man letting him know I was looking to do a kitchen remodel. Since their website advertised remodels on a budget I thought great! Unfortunately-- it did not turn out that way. Not only was the man rude but when I asked about getting an estimate and budget he totally became disinterested. Funny thing is I never even gave him my budget. Maybe the word was just a turn off and they dont do these?? Won't ever know... guess they don't need the business...

We had Kitchen and Batch Werk did out kitchen and down stair powder room remodel this August(2013)…read more I found them on Yelp as we had no other contactors that we know and liked, so I took a chance. The best thing that I like about dealing with David (the owner) is that he is an honest guy. So I am going to be honest in my review. I think no contractor is perfect, especially when it is not a minor fix but a remodel. So I give 4 stars. The following is the pros and cons of using Kitchen and Batch Werk in my opinion. Pros - 1. Honest - This is what I like about them the most. You really don't find this kind of person in business nowadays very often. David's quote is clear and fair. During the process we needed to change stuff here and there, he will not quote you outrage price since you already started the work and had to stick with them. When there are jobs that are not his specialty (for example - paint), you will find the price that he quoted is very high. Don't hesitate to communicate with him that you want to hire other people to do the job. He was nice enough to work with our painter without holding any grudge. The pre-built cabinet material that he provided is very high quality and well worth the price. 2. Kind - All his crew members are courteous and kind. They will cover up stuff and clean up their mess. I feel safe to leave them working in my house without supervision. 3. On Time - David sticks to the schedule that he gives you in the beginning even though he is very busy. He will not leave your job site waiting forever when he got other big jobs. Cons - OK, now this is the missing star. As I mentioned earlier, David is very busy. He is not only a contractor but also a pastor of a church. So sometimes you cannot get a hold of him. He left his crews and talked a few minutes with you and took off. I had a hard time trying to reach him to tell him when there is something wrong with their work. I finally had to tell him straight that he should at least reply my emails or text messages if he could not pick up the phone during the day. It is very frustrating when you find out there are jobs not done right and wanted an answer on what to do next but could not find the contractor. I found other reviews all said that David is very responsive, so I guess he must be VERY, VERY BUSY when he worked on our project. Finally, I have some tips for people who are considering doing kitchen remodel. 1. Use custom slabs instead of prefab granite. Yes, it costs 2,000 more, but the look is completely luxury and you can do bigger island for more storage space and have no grout granite kitchen backsplash. When you spend 16K on your kitchen, the extra 2k will transform the whole room which is well worth it. David's granite team is exceptional, they did a great job in my kitchen and it complements the beautiful cabinets so much. You also have a lot more choices in the custom slabs; the beautiful nature stone truly brightens the whole kitchen. Make sure to reserve the stone when you go to the granite yard to pick your slabs. David forgot to tell us this, so we had to rush back to reserve the stone in the last minute. 2. Expect to do a lot of shopping even if you hire a contractor. You will have to pick everything by yourself - faucets, granite, cabinet, sinks, lights, cabinet knobs, wood floors, outlet trims, and accessories. Contractors can only give you suggestions, but you have to decide what you like and buy them from local stores for them to install. (They only provide recess lights, cabinet, granite and wood floor.) I think the most difficult part in this process is you have to select stuff without seeing them putting together as there is no model room or sample pictures for you to choose. Overall, our kitchen and powder room turns out beautifully and we got lots of complements from our friends and families. Thanks David and everyone who worked on our project.

I am glad this ended on a good note, since other than the communication issue, the floors look amazing, and his team worked hard and quickly. His team did leave floor finish stains on the baseboards and my kitchen quartz counter walls, so heads up, don't forget to ask them to use painters tape if you're getting your hardwood floors sanded and refinished. (Initial review) Initially when Alex first gets your business, they seem responsive and even tells me about how shoddy of a job the previous flooring people did in my home (fixed by previous owners). But the moment any small issues come up, Alex just ghosts his customers. In the video you can see the cracks happening under normal body weight. I really wanted to believe that at the very least he and his team will try to provide any rectification, even if it's just to come out again to check on the floor to see what else can be done, like I wouldn't even have mind paying an additional small fee for materials. Instead, since he has been fully paid, he won't even see the project to the end to make sure he delivers on quality work. I understand that things come up and he could be busy but the non-responsiveness for two weeks is clear.

Installation kicked off right on schedule. Alex's crews showed up early each morning with smiles, set clear expectations for the day, and--my favorite part--left the site spotless every evening. No sawdust trails, no empty coffee cups, just tidy floors ready for the next day's work. The installers were polite and happy to answer my many questions about care and maintenance. A special shout-out to the team member who tackled the staircase: the precision on each tread and riser is next-level. Friends keep asking if the stairs were custom-built! The new baseboards tie everything together with crisp, clean lines that make the room feel finished and elevated. Bottom line: if you're hunting for competitive pricing without sacrificing craftsmanship or communication, call Aesthetic Flooring. I'm beyond thrilled with the transformation and can't stop staring at my beautiful new floors. We obtained multiple bids and selected this company due to Reyes's professionalism, knowledge and being very detailed. Of all the bids, Reyes was the only one to provide a detailed quote with line items and their associated cost. The other bids, some where a bit lower, provided no details just a lump some for one line item. These type of quotes will usually end uo costing more because it is easy for the contractor to say, it is not included or create tension because disagreements due to the lack of detail. The tile work itself was great, clean and great quality. Julio the installer was very professional and patient as we tended to ask a lot of questions along the process. On multiple occassions he asked if this is the way we wanted things done before he actually set the tile :-) There is nothing more frustrating then someone doing work without asking how you want it, all to have a customer be unhappy and having to do it again. Julio is also very experienced in his work so he was able to provide great suggestions.
