Well, Surfside was affordable and has always been available. I've used them for a number of projects, and I've used the people who own/operate Surfside well before they went into business together to open Surfside. Originally it was separate companies, lawn, handyman, and plumbing, and now they all came together to create an amazing customer experience. I've been very pleased and am looking forward to when they add their electrical and HVAC division! Thanks guys!

I can dress warmly indoors in the winter but summer is 100 degrees in my house. It really took a toll on my health as a senior, and caused everything in my house to mildew, even the insides of drawers. Surfside got paid thru Alabama Power, but would not honor their warranty when the HVAC stopped working just days after installation. I am retired and have had no means to fix it. The issue is all documented with Alabama Power who financed the system.

Without…read moremy ok, they tried to tack on $800 for two guys who spent literally 20 minutes removing some old attic junk from the previous owner, and I guess the owner was mad because I cannot pay $2400 an hour unexpectedly for unskilled labor. I dont think I was rude about it, but ... no. The unit stopped working right after I signed off on the installation, but I wasnt too worried since the equipment and install had a warranty of course. To my surprise the owner mocked me like a third grader even though I wasnt being at all impolite, just letting them know the AC kept shutting off and wasnt working and asking their techs to come back and take a look. The other owner finally came out and shook his head at the shitty installation and took some photos of the condensation dripping through my light fixture and ruining my kitchen ceiling, apologized that his partner was so childish and promised to make it right. They never did. Its been two years and it still does not work. I can dress warmly indoors in winter, but it makes me so mad that everything in my house is mildwed and its 100 degrees indoors in August. I am a senior citizen and its hard to live like this. I dont have the means to have another company fix it so I suffer. Cant even have guests, its so unbearably hot in here. The issues are all documented through Alabama Power and the attorney general. Worst experience I have ever had as a consumer.

I took off from work and headed home to wait. I was fine when they didn't, it would have been a long shot. I called again on Monday morning at 9am because I hadn't heard. Again they told me they'd put me on a list. I eventually called someone else who fixed my unit late that afternoon. I never heard from L & S. My biggest peeve is that they never called, I would have assumed that they would have given me a heads up, maybe they can't tell me exactly when but let me know that it might be days.
