grandpa effort

My husband took our granddaughter last week to make a mug for her mom for mother's day. He ended up wanting to create his own too. They had such fun and the staff there was so attentive and made suggestions to help the desired looks. What a great fun and affordable way to spend a couple of hours being creative. The cost was reasonable too. We will return.

Mom and daughter date after a really upsetting week. When family cancelled coming I to town due to then getting COVID.. The staff was so helpful and kind really made the experience. They were upfront that prices had increased a little went from 10 to 15 flat fee o top of the item you choose. Not that big of a difference and we really enjoyed our special date day. We are counting down our days til we get them back on the 30th

So much fun!! They have many different colours and options of things to paint. And they look so beautiful fired!! Will certainly come back!! =As a note, due to COVID, they charge $10 per person, but that includes all materials and your seat (minus the cost of the piece you chose to paint). The pieces are all around $15-20, so it comes out to around $30 a person, not too bad and the price i'd pay for handpainted pottery without the joy of making it myself!!

They even managed getting the baby's print while she was still asleep!

My daughter-in-law and I brought my 5 granddaughters to the studio to make a BBQ platter for my son for Father's Day. We had a wonderful experience! It can be hard to bring 5 children anywhere, but the staff were so helpful and patient. They even helped us get the handprint of the 10 month old baby onto the platter while she was still asleep! We found it to be a positive and supportive, family friendly experience. Keep up the good work!

Grew up near Poulsbo and have fond memories of birthday parties at dancing brush. Fast forward 20 years and decided while I was home for the holidays to make some food bowls for my two cats. Wonderful, helpful workers, who extended my hold so I could come back and do a second session free of studio charge after inclement weather hit the area. Highly recommend for a quiet arty experience, solo or with friends/family. They have a great selection of items to paint - almost too many! Took me about 20 minutes to decide what bowls to paint. I went for the pedestal ice cream bowls. Photos include before and after.

Whether you're Bob Ross or have the artistic ability of a toddler, this place is for you. It's a great opportunity to make a custom piece of "art". Needless to say, 5 stars from me! Check out my monster, isn't she cute? (:

We had a wonderful experience at Dancing Brush for girls night. Due to group size they were willing to accommodate an evening booking midweek and provided quick and easy permit instructions so my group could enjoy a glass of wine while we chatted and painted. They offer a wide selection of pieces to choose from with all the supplies and materials needed to create your masterpiece plus they do all the clean up. Samantha was amazing from start to finish, incredibly knowledgeable of tools and techniques and was beyond helpful assisting and answering questions as they came up. I can't wait to pick up my piece next week and look forward to my next visit. BONUS TIP: If you collect 3 project receipts they can be redeemed for $5 off your next project.

Enjoying a rainy and windy Saturday at dancing brush.

Always very disappointing when I have to do an update on a previously celebrated business. This has…read morebeen my go-to place since moving to Seattle in 2012. And I supported it wholeheartedly despite sometimes finding items slightly cheaper elsewhere. Additionally, as an art educator I always suggested it to my students for their value, as well as excellent and knowledgeable customer service. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed to say both superb customer service and cost value are gone. Firstly, I learned from my students that student discount was no longer available. Then after my last visit, I was stunned how much the prices have increased. Still, I remained a dedicated patron. After coming home I realized one of the expensive wooden panels had a substantial gouge in the corner - simply too noticeable to try fixing. I confidently returned to the store but was told they would not take back the damaged items - because they couldn't verify it was damaged before my purchase. The associate was unbearably rude and dismissive. One my way out I expressed my profound disappointment with the current direction of this trusted business with another associate, only to have the associate I originally spoke with catch up with us. Now they changed their song, saying they could accept the damage item but I was very lucky because it's not something they always do. What?! The associate appeared to be making up policies as they went along. In the end I kept the damaged wooden panel, as I will keeping my business away from this place.
