Okay, I realize this is kinda a weird thing to review, but this is strictly for the Adult Hip Hop class i've been taking on Tuesdays with Kara and I'm so freaking happy about it, I gotta shout it from the mountain tops! I've come now to a couple classes and definitely want to make it a weekly thing. The drop in price is only $19, which isn't too bad in my opinion! I've been wanting to find an adult dance class because I truly miss dancing so much and haven't really taken classes since I was in high school. It's such a fun workout and I love it. Kara is an incredible teacher! Whether you've never taken a dance class before or if you're actually a dancer or grew up dancing, it's a great class to take! I am really enjoying them and can't wait for more!!! She also always records it at the end so you can show it off (or laugh, whatever your journey is). Such a fun class and the ladies that take it are also all so sweet and welcomed me with open arms at my first class! Can't wait for this week's! read more

After being with the Dance Zone for 10 years it was a HUGE let down at the end for my daughter. NOTHING was offered for her as far as continuing to love and have her passion for dance WITHOUT joining teams. When I expressed that to Jaime, I just got a stupid smile that said, "just keep dancing." The last recital for my daughter was a JOKE! Programs were not available for EVERY ticket sold. I understand the need to go digital however grandparents in attendance want a physical program. During each break we watched a video 4 times on another money grab on getting kids to join teams. When my daughter was 6 she signed up for ballet and was HUMILIATED by Mr. Caine as she showed up in a yellow ballet leo. Rather than speaking to the parent he embarrassed my daughter in front of all her peers. She then decided that Miss Haleigh was the teacher she wanted to stick with because she truly made her feel special and that she was part of a class. When reaching out for additional continuing dance classes I was told, "we don't offer that here unless you join teams." Luckily, we had the grace and caring from Miss Haleigh to understand my daughter's needs and will forever be GRATEFUL that our time on the way out made it not so horrible. read more

The dance zone is amazing!! My daughter loves coming here. All the instructors are so sweet ! They have a variety of classes and times available all week for all the students. They have competitive dance if that's what your into and also just for fun!! They also have such cute recitals! Like daddy and daughter shows! I highly recommend them! read more

We tried to cancel my daughters dance lessons today and they informed us that we had to cancel by the 15 as to not get charged which is fine but the lady that was on the phone was rude and very smug about how we still have to pay no matter what. She needs to take some etiquette classes on how to speak to people over the phone. After the conversion we had with her I will never bring my daughters back there again. Spoke to her today 10/21/19 at 4:15 PM. The only thing I liked about that place was the instructor for toddler ballet and tap which she instructed last year. She was the sweetest one there. Our daughter has done two seasons of dance class (Combo tap/ballet and hip hop) at the Dance Zone and we are very happy with what she has learned, the staff, the studio, their precautions during COVID-19 and the recital. Mrs. Sharon is excellent with the little ones and she makes sure the kids have fun as they learn the foundations of dance. The recital was a huge production - I was floored! It was so well organized and they made sure the dancers felt so special. So glad we decided to participate this year! We didn't participate the first year and there was absolutely no pressure from the Dance Zone. I think their prices are comparable to other reputable dance studios and you should know before going in that the "teams" and recitals and costumes are all going to dig into your wallet. The nice thing about the Dance Zone is that they don't pressure you and I never felt like they were just trying to get more money out of me. read more

Dance Zone has different categories of dance, ballet, tap, jazz, Tumble Tots, Dynamics of Dance, & Explore. Each class is divided by age- youth, kindergarten, Mini (1st-2nd grade), Jr (3rd-5th grade), Teen (6-8th grade), Senior (9-12th grade). And they also have adult classes. The classes are a 10 month program and they have a year end recital. We enrolled my son into the boys only hip hop class on Saturdays. It's a 1 hour class and right now the class is small (about 6-7 students) and is taught by Orion (?). Right now he's teaching them break dancing and my son is having a blast. Since my son is lacking in the rhythm deficient LOL Breaking is a good introduction to dancing and Orion is a great teacher. He is very good with the kids, very patient and thorough when explaining the intricacies of breaking. We are also looking to enroll our daughter soon and we have watched the other teachers in classes and they too seem to do well with the children. You can see the joy in some of the teachers passing on their craft to the little ones. DZ is a very clean dance studio and would recommend them to anyone looking for dance classes for children. We've done Tutu Cute for my 2.5 year old, and hip hop tots and now primary hip hop for my 5 year old. They have so much fun and the teachers are gentle while still teaching. I love how much my children love going to dance. Definitely recommend!! read more

If I could give 6 starts I would. I set up a surprise dance for my wedding with Sharon. She choreographed everything to the songs of my choice and did an amazing job. I also got the pleasure to work with Miss Sheila and she helped my wife & I put together a dance for our first dance at our wedding. Everyone at this company is amazing and my wedding would not of been the same without the help from Shelia & Sharon. I am so glad I came to Dance Zone. Such an awesome dance studio! read more

This studio is horrible. This studio has ruined dance for me i can not hear dance with out being sick. Jami and kaydee (the owners) are horrible.How they treated me and how they allow severe bullying to going on in their studio with them knowing about it.They allowed a kid on my team to make other students feel disgusting about their bodies and being any other race than white. They treat students differently. I spent thousands of dollars at this studio to be misstated by other students and teachers. I had a teacher (miss bri )say to me that dance was not for me and that I should not be continuing dance bc I was not "dedicated " not dedicated yet I let this bullying go on bc I loved dance that much and spent so much money. Never bring your kid here bc u will regret it. I will forever not have any respect these owners and this studio. read more

I paid for my 3 year old to take classes here and I pulled her out. Horrible customer service, no attempt to resolve an issue/complaint about a teacher. Someone should have contacted me within in 24 hrs , nothing at all. I live pretty close to the studio, but would rather drive across town to go to a better studio (and I found one!) read more

This dance studio is the best in Henderson. My review is honest. My daughter has been taking a combo class here for the past year. She is 4 and I can say this will be the dance studio we stick with. Everyone, from the teachers to front desk, and even the older students are extremely friendly and quick to feel like family. Teachers are very professional and great dancers. Anytime you need help or a question they are quick to answer. No confusion, no stress. The entire building inside is very clean and well kept. Bathrooms are also very clean. I'm very happy with this studio and my daughter loves it here. She's always happy when it's time for dance. It's like a second home to us. I highly approve and highly recommend to check it out. The staff, teachers and students are class acts! The atmosphere is so much fun for my daughter and they still hold the students accountable at the same time. Jamie and Katie are awesome role models and really practice what they preach! Everyone seems to be treated with the same respect, which is also taught in class.
