One day a pick up an teenage boy came and told us another kid had pushed my kid into the water fountain and was bleeding. We went to the dentist and the teeth were dead and they had to pull them. We are going on 4 years with no front teeth because of this place! The instructors weren't going to tell us or say anything. I wasn't going to sue them because I figured accidents happen. They were definitely irresponsible in how they handled it. I didn't realize how long the front teeth were going to take to grow in though. I'm regretting not getting a lawyer at the time.

There are 20 some stops along the Walk, which include retail stores, restaurants, bars and service businesses. Even the Boulder Dam Museum (within a hotel) is a stop, and they had one of the nicest set ups. Among the "treats" at the stops are wine, of course, water and snacks. It's not wine at each stop, which is disclosed in the event description. However, only one business that we went to didn't have wine! And they pour heavy in the cute and sturdy tasting glass everyone gets. Most places had a few different types of wine, some even had around 10! It was a hot day, and it was nice to get relief in the a/c at the stops. Some of the places had a big area for the wine tasting, and a few were really awkward. These places were busy with regular customers, and it seemed like having the wine there was an imposition. The check-in was easy, and this is where you buy tickets and receive the wine stop map. A few vendors were there handing out goodies as well as wine. This event is a great way to check out all the businesses around Downtown. They have a gift basket raffle and another basket for the costume contest winner. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I plan on returning.

Parking is guided on a dirt lot across the street from the church. You have to get a wristband at the entrance and there is a $5 cover per person, exempting very young children. The food stalls were buzzing with many hungry patrons, but the people serving were so efficient that we barely had to wait in line at all which was excellent (though I heard the crowd was projected to be much bigger on Saturday). We got a sample platter of many different items, all were delicious. You have to purchase tickets in order to get food, old-fashioned festival style. Really took me back to my youth. There are stalls for kids to play games & win prizes, and a couple of what looked like vendor stalls also. In addition to smoking hookah you can also purchase one new from their varied selection of quality pieces. And of course, I had to finish off the evening with some amazing Baklava. Wonderful food and great entertainment, such a good time!

I got there just before 4 PM their advertised opening time. Wehn I went to pay my entrance fee, I got a $20 bill out of my wallet. Then I saw a sign--$40 fee for Friday. Different prices for Saturday and SUnday depending on the time you go. Every other year, it was $10 to get in. I should have done what the woman in front of me decided--leave and come back the next day when it's $10. I didn't select that option because I wasn't driving there from Summerlin the next day as well as Friday afternoon. I paid the $40 and went inside. Of course, then you have to buy tickets to pay for the food you select.. I got $25 in tickets. For the $25, I got a chicken schawarma, 2 kibbi, and 5 rolled baklava that I took home with me. That makes a $65 dinner. I should have left and not come back. I could have had a nice dinner in a restaurant with table saervice. Instead, I carried my food to folding chairs and folding tables with plastic table cloth. Besides the entrance fee,, I had to wait for my schawarma. Despite opeing at 4, they weren't ready. Cooks in the church fill metal containers that are then brought to the booths for sale. They weren't ready and I had to wait 20 minutes for the chicken and beef to come out and be placed in the warming containers. One saving thing--the food was good. I will not be returning again. This entrance fee is a donation fore the church, but it is asking too much of the public. I could have gone somewhere and sat at a table, had a server take my order and bring my food, and sit in a more enjoyable place. If this is a place you like to go, check the website. A husband and wife duo put on an Alice in Wonderland themed puppet show with the wife as Alice and the husband as the puppeteer for the rest of the cast. The puppets look great but set design is simply a video screen - which is fine for the crowd they're catering to. Photos and videos aren't allowed (I found this out while taking pics for my review.) Like all shows at Alexis Park Theater, there is table service (yes, you can watch this show from your own private couch.) There is a full bar and cocktail menu. Seating is comfortable but not graduated. I could still see everything well as the stage is higher than the seats. Overall, if you have very small children and for some reason you have them with you in Las Vegas, this is the show for them. If you're a solo adult, this may be too childish for you.

One featured a seemingly hot guy who turns out to have a rat tail and an affection for posters and old wrestling figurines. The Boulder City theater is an impressive blast from the past with what appears to be remodeled auditorium seating, 1930s sconces and a stage slightly smaller than the one at East High. The entrance to the theater is cozy with thick, red carpet and white walls. Afterward, the festival hosted a reception for film makers and the Brew Pub across the street, where an awesome local band played old school rock.

They charge $10 for each 2 hour section or $35 for the afternoon. Each short film is 3 to 15 minutes long, so you get to see several in each section. And often they have representatives from the film come to the stage for a short Q&A after the movies are shown. The quality of the films selected has been uniformly excellent. At the end of each section, you get to vote for the best of that section. and each time, I am torn because I enjoy most of the choices so much. Already planning on being there again next year.

It's in the Flamingo Showroom, just the right size for a show like this. We had great seats, and the performers were spectacular. I love Celtic dancing; I've always been on the fence about Flamenco, but nevertheless, all the dancers were so talented and the choreography so engaging that I enjoyed almost every minute of it. The two male leads and the female Celtic dancer were beyond compare. The one tango number seemed superfluous, though I love that dance. I grew to be a real fan after seeing a tango show in Buenos Aires. But since this was supposed to be a battle between the Celtic and Flamenco dancers, I can't figure out its purpose here. And, truthfully, the tango numbers on Dancing With the Stars have been better! Intermission brought out a hand shadow performer who skillfully entertained with take-offs on Elvis, Satchmo, Jerry Lewis, Ray Charles, and others. He even used his own hair as a prop. Total hoot! If you get a chance to see this show during its limited engagement, grab the brass ring and don't miss it!
