We had Yuki as a dance instructor and she's awesome! We learned alot from her and she gave us tips on how to improve on whatever we were learning. Shes super upbeat and a pleasure to work with. We have a good time every time we come. She taught us all the moves we needed within 3 or 4 classes and the rest of the 3 classes we were mostly practicing and perfecting the moves. They also give you practice skirts to mimick dancing in a wedding dress. She doesn't teach you to memorize a whole dance routine. She teaches you the moves and it's up to the male partner to lead which is good, because people will definitely forget dance routines, but if the lady just follows the lead, the dance will still look good. Yuki is also pretty flexible with her schedule. She had no problems with us changing certain days or booking her last minute if she happened to be free. We went to dance Reverie to learn a dance for our wedding. Kyle and Kari were excellent teachers! We took private classes with Kyle and attended group classes with Kari. Both were very helpful in achieving the jaw dropping performance that we were looking for. We started with a romantic Fox trot and picked up the pace with a Swing dance, which included drops, lifts and even a back flip! Kyle was very patient and a great coach. He always encouraged us to push ourselves while still maintaining a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Kyle is a phenomenal instructor! Also, VERY patient. Like some of the other reviewers, I had a pretty severe case of two 'left feet' but even so he managed to reach me. Before taking these classes, neither my fiance (wife now) nor I have ever had any experience dancing but thanks to Kyle, we were able to pull off our 'first dance'! He also taught our parents to dance despite the language barrier (no small feat, haha). If you're serious about learning to dance, then Kyle is the teacher you're looking for. Kyle was AMAZING!!! It was 3 months to our wedding, and all my fiancé and I knew was that we didnt want to sway side to side! We really enjoyed our experience here. They seem to have figured out the wedding dance success formula. My partner and I had decided to dance waltz on a whim just two weeks bedore our wedding with no dance experience or knowledge. The cherry on top was our TANGO dance! People couldn't stop talking about our dance and when they asked how many classes did we take and we told them about 15 they were in shock. They thought we were dancing for a long time. We killed it like professionals all thanks to Kyle. Kyle was such a patient and amazing instructor. He came to our wedding during cocktail hour so we can practice before doing the real thing. He waited until we performed the dance and captured everything on video and sent it to me the very next day. Kyle is the worst. He either manages or owns the studio. Initially I had bought a Groupon deal for some last minute dance lessons before our wedding but due to high volume over the summer he wasn't able to accommodate me on a date that worked. Okay, fair enough. But if I paid regular price he'd be able to get me in asap. I ended up paying regular price for these classes due to time constraints / convenience of the studio, and was told to check back after the summer months for more availability for the Groupon deal. Well it's October now and I reached out to him 2 weeks ago, told me to text him my info and availability which I did. He never got back to me. Texted him again days later as a reminder telling him to let me know. He curtly replies, "will do" but still radio silence a week later. So this is a long overdue review! My wife and I were married in November, and we were both anxious/about figuring out our first dance and how to get ready for it. Kyle is as good as an instructor as he is as a dancer, and that is an incredible combination. Neither of us had any dance background, but Kyle immediately understood our learning styles (Army soldier and cerebral lawyer) and taught us in a language that we each got right away. Classes were fun, relaxed and the best part of our limited date-night time before the wedding. Kyle worked with our crazy schedules and would generously teach late at night or early in the morning to make sure we could squeeze in enough rehearsal to be really comfortable with what we were doing. Kyle stresses confidence, performance and execution rather than just repetition or canned choreography, so whatever you end up doing automatically looks great.
