This cute art center has different exhibits but the one I went to was all about the Boston Marathon. I had signed up to do the special package which included a 13 min slide show about the history of some of the statues that are on the Boston marathon course and just some history about the course/ race itself. And then there was a self guided tour to see the winged foot statues and some others as well. And there was a coupon for food at the start line brewery included too. The person who helped me get my tour started was very nice and helpful. This space is on the small side but it is very nice and clean. Feels a bit on the homey side. I would come back here for sure to check out other art exhibits they put on when it's not marathon season.

On March 7, I bought my prom dress and paid in full the same day. I was told the dress would arrive in about a week and a half and that they would call me when it arrived. After 2 weeks, I received no call, so on March 23, I called to check on my order. I was told the dress was being shipped and would arrive soon, so I waited. Another 2 weeks passed with no update. On April 6, I called again and was told the dress should arrive that week. On April 11, after waiting over a month, I went into the store in person. That's when I was finally told that the dress had actually sold out back in March and was being remade, something no one told me even though I had called twice. This was extremely upsetting because I lost valuable time that I could have used to find another dress and get alterations done. They apologized and told me it would arrive April 13, but again I never received a call. On April 15, I called and was told it should arrive by Saturday. That Saturday passed with no call again. On April 20, I called and was told the dress was ready for pickup. When I went to the store on April 23, they told me the dress had not even shipped yet, meaning I was given false information when I called earlier. Later that day, they texted me saying the designer estimated shipping for May 25, which was only 5 days before my prom on May 30, and even that date wasn't guaranteed. They also said they could refund my payment or help me find another gown. Instead, I had to find and purchase another dress on my own because I couldn't risk waiting any longer. After paying in full on March 7 and waiting for months, I was left scrambling to find a new prom dress at the last minute because of their poor communication and handling of my order. I was also told my alterations would be taken care of because of everything that had happened. When I brought in the new dress I had purchased somewhere else, I was suddenly told that the free alterations only applied to dresses bought from their store. That was never explained to me beforehand, and I still ended up being charged for the alterations. After everything that had already happened, it felt like another promise that wasn't kept. The biggest issue was the poor communication and being given incorrect information multiple times. I called four different times and even went into the store in person, yet I was never given honest or accurate updates. Every time I reached out, I got a different answer, and I was the one constantly having to follow up after already paying in full. I understand that shipping delays can happen, but honesty and communication are completely within a business's control. Instead of being upfront with me, I was left waiting for weeks, given false information, and ultimately forced to buy a completely different dress and pay for alterations because of mistakes that were not my fault. Prom is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and what should have been an exciting experience became incredibly stressful and disappointing. I strongly recommend thinking twice before coming here.

The shop has a large number of vendors, some of whom I am friends with. Unfortunately, the owner is very outspoken about their far-right politics on social media. It's distasteful when business owners are so vocal about their political views, regardless of the side they support. This shop is a thrift/antique market; who do they think their primary customer base is? In their post, they stated: "If you don't like this or don't agree with it. You already know there are other shops to choose from, or take your ass to Target" I sent a message suggesting they should be careful about publicly taking sides on political issues. I mentioned that I know some vendors there and that I would most likely not return. The owner's response: "No one asked you what you thought; we don't need you to return. You most definitely dont have any friends lol so have a good summer Karen." This is not how a business owner should behave, and it's incredibly toxic! While they are right that there are other places to shop in the area, actions like this likely lose more customers than they gain. When I stated that I would make sure others knew how he acted he then placed my image and information on blast on FB and Instagram for "his customers to decide" Of course adding a ton of far-right political nonsense where his equally toxic supporters added their thoughts.

And my spouse was like, "Ask That's Entertainment." So, I did. That's Entertainment were professional and told me it was the truth--even if it's ugly for me, they know they lose nothing to be honest. And, they were respectful, and didn't even ask me what I'm selling to steal business for a dime. (I might have told them anyways!) They helped a local business make my sale.
