I would give it less if I could. What a racket. They are not in the business of teaching dance, they are in the business of selling over-priced tickets to the shows, to see your child perform. The monthly dues are expensive enough, to be charging what they do for the shows is a joke. read more

I am very disappointed at the staff, the teachers are amazing or at least the one who taught my daughter in ballet, but I would not recommend for one reason if you have an issue they don't care iv sent them so many emails and they completely ignore you, o know it's tough times right now but iv been passionately waiting over a month. I will definitely have to take my daughter to another school so sad for the teachers read more

I've been looking for a place for my daughter to take dance lessons and found this place. I looked at their website and it looked great. I called and left a message with their messaging service FIVE days ago. I called again and left a message with their answering service again. I have called at 930am, 1115am, 120pm, 330pm, 5pm and 730pm. No one calls me back. Their messaging service tells me that they give the messages to the dance studio. The answering service also tells me that the studio only turns on the answering service when they are unable to answer the calls. I have called when classes are offered or around those times. I read a bunch of other reviews on here after having this issue and noticed that this is on par with the way they seem to treat current or potential customers. I won't be taking my daughter here! Update: it's now been 6 weeks since I called a bunch of times and nobody has called me back! I called again and still no return call. Go somewhere else!! read more

DONT SIGN UP FOR THIS SCAM!!!!!! This dance school is all about your money and your money only. First off they are not concerned about teaching your kids to dance. All they care about is the children learning a half ass routine that my 66 year old mother could do with 2 bad knees. 75$ for an ill fitting costume I could have bought for a dollar from wish. For each child mind you. Oh and let's talk about the recitals. $15 per person including the children who are in the show. The routines are laughable except when the teachers come on to show their moves. And how about those extremely inappropriate songs and lyrics including "dinosaur dick" really? My 4 year old daughter is in the audience listening. So 80$ per month plus 60$ for my second child is fine however, my daughter who is in ballet after 5 months still has no concept of the positions. My son in tap doesn't know how to kick ball change. If you dance you know these are the fundamentals of these two areas. Don't buy into it even with the groupon. Your child will learn nothing. To top it off they close during school breaks and as soon as the next Groupon comes out all they are concerned with is getting the next sucker. read more

My daughter has been dancing here for the last couple years.. it has been great, she loves it. It is a little more on the pricey side but I do believe you get what you pay for. We tried a couple other places before coming to dance elite and this is by far the best of the ones we tried. Costumes are always super cute and well made for the showcases. My ONLY complaint is that communication is not good. After signing my daughter up, I was left with so many small questions along the way that I may or may not have got answers to. Unless you've been coming here a while, you don't know everything that's going on :( it would be nice if they did a new dancer orientation or something and explained everything we need to know read more

Wow. I just tried to enroll my daughter and was told that the only way to enroll a child is to go in person to fill out the contract. Ummm...do we still live in the 1980s? I gave them my honest feedback and told her that for busy working parents, that's not always possible nor is it convenient. Having an online option to enroll and manage student's enrollment would be much appreciated. Their snooty response? "My name is Kim and we've been doing in-person enrollment for 15 years now. So this is the way that we're doing it." Wow. Well, why don't I print the form online, fill it out and fax it over to you? And then I can page you (on your pager) when I've done so. You can then check your fax machine and walk to the nearest pay phone to call me and let me know you've received my paperwork. Thank you. read more

Just so disappointed in this place. We've been going there for almost 2 years and both years they have threatened not to let the kids perform unless the parents volunteer to stay back stage with them. I have already paid $20.00 per ticket to see my daughters perform, yet they are not letting them perform unless I stay backstage with them? Are they kidding? Then my 4 year old gets scheduled to go second to last BOTH years in a 2 hour show full of teenagers? Seems backwards to me. I danced for 20+ years and my mom always got to see me perform AND did not have to be backstage OR pay for her ticket. So confused really! I should add that my daughters do like this studio and are happy but when logistics play out this way with no changes in sight we are forced to look elsewhere which is quite frustrating. read more

If you are looking for a great studio for your child to grow and love dance THIS IS NOT THE STUDIO! They care more about your money! The owner has horrible customer service and all the great dance teachers have left because of her!! Please hear my warning and don't go there read more

Faith stole our money. We give her money each month, that is addition to our studio fees, for competition entry fees. Due to COVID, we didn't go to 3 out of the 4 competitions. Although the studio was refunded those fees, Faith (owner) is choosing to KEEP THE MONEY. That equates to over $1000 of my money, not to mention all the other families. She says that things have been hard financially so she can't refund it but it's NOT HER MONEY. It should have been in a separate account, not part of the studio's money. Dozens of families are getting screwed out of their money. Such a shame. read more

We love Dance Elite and have found it to be a very positive place to grow & thrive in the art of Dance. We love the owner, Faith, and we love all the teachers. Really great classes in Jazz and Tap! read more

Normally, I do not do reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this studio and my experience there. First of all, the dance instructors are wonderful and they seem to truly care for their students. They offer ballet, hip hop, jazz, and others. My feedback is related to the higher than normal level of drama that goes on at this place with the owner Faith, front desk help and some of the parents. It's not quite like the TV show Dance Moms but it's got that vibe. Sometimes it's funny to listen to other times it's very uncomfortable. I also dislike that these discussion are in the presence of the kids. I pulled my children for this exact reason. I'm torn on this review as they do have good classes and instructors. This may be a good option if they look past the drama for folks looking in Rocklin. There are other dance studios out there but I'm not sure if the grass is any greener since I haven't explored any yet. Hope this helps! Just my 2 cents. read more

I am SURE I am not alone in this one. . . . mainly because I have heard A LOT of complaints from many, many other parents regarding this situation.... Most of who will not complain or say anything. I felt like we all needed a voice here, so here it is : We as parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters & friends SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY to see ouir children perform. Period. Now I want it to be known that we very much enjoy my daughter's ballet classes here at Dance Elite and her teacher Miss Vanessa is so amazing. But.... My daughter has a recital this week and unfortunately this studio CHARGES THE PARENTS & FAMILY to go see what their children have practiced for months on and to see them perform the dances they have been working so hard on??? Should this not be an "included" item?? The consensus I have found is: " ABSOLUTELY - YES, it should be !! " And if it is not an included item, it should not cost any more than about $3.00 to $5.00 max for each ticket!! We pay a decent price each and every month for their classes, and to now charge us $18.00 dollars PER TICKET $20 at the door) is just not right. Nor would it be okay for we as the patents, to ask our 8 or 9 other family members wanting to attend the performance to PAY TO ATTEND. ...... OR .... to ask the parents to pay $18.00 dollars per ticket to "give" to the 8-9 other grandparents, brothers, sisters, friends etc. Including my husband and myself, we have had to pay approximately $200 ($198.00 to be exact = for myself, my husband and 9 other family/friends) to go watch our daughter perform! Mind you, this is to watch her perform for approximately 2 1/2 mins, too! So disappointing. There is really no reason to charge the parents and family members soo much. Additionally, the younger children, those ranging in age from 5 -10 years old performed after 8PM. The studio chose to have the older group mostly consisting of older teenagers and adults, perform a right away aat 6:30. This left all the younger children sitting in a dance hall with very little supervision for over 2 hours, (check in was at 6 PM) most in their costumes, prior to performing. Both nights my daughter performed, we didn't get home until after 9:30pm at night. Seems a little backwards to me?!? read more

called on Friday night, try to get some info such as schedule and price. The person who picked up the phone said he could not answer my question. He asked my name and phone number said someone will call me tomorrow. Waited for half day, no call. I just drove to their place try to ask in front desk. The door is open, someone is eating a sandwich in the studio, looked at me, ignored me. I stands there about 10 mins like invisible and I have to leave because no one is gona talk to me. Watched the video on their website, feels like great. read posts here also. But my experience tells me...yelp is a place that you can ask your friends do you a favor to post a fake good comment. read more

Ms. Gardner is correct. We did end up sending our daughter to their princess camp because they did, in fact, hold our money "hostage." Our choice was to buy $159 worth of merchandise from their facility or use the credit towards classes in the fall. Neither option was feasible. I chose not to pursue the matter because if I had to take a day off work to deal with this in court I would lose much more than the $159. As a small business owner I personally would have worked with a customer requesting a refund, even if they signed a contract, to keep a good rapport. Word of mouth advertising and customer satisfaction is worth much more than $159 to my business; obviously the $159 is more important to Dance Elite. The crafts that were done at the princess camp, as far as I could see, were a princess crown, various colorings and a tutu. Most of the materials could have been purchased in bulk or at the Dollar Tree and I am sure that the young instructors were not paid $20 an hour. Also, regarding the initial incident, of course Miss Dawn's version of events is different. She is trying to keep her job. During the phone call with Ms. Gardner she assured me that Miss Dawn "doesn't have people skills" and that she is good with numbers. That very well may be. As a small business owner as well I know that customer service and customer relations are of the utmost importance and if I chose to employ someone without people skills I certainly wouldn't put them at the reception desk. I am not the only parent that has had issues with her. I personally know of three different families that are not returning to Dance Elite because of Miss Dawn and another family that is not returning after an encounter with Ms. Gardner. Our daughter will be attending another dance studio in the fall that promises to be more appreciative of our business. read more

Good studio. Felt it was too pricey, especially since my 5 year old is play dancing half the class. Referred my sister who was signed up and is paying $10 less a month than me, yet her 12 year old is doing technical level classes with smaller class sizes. So I casually asked a parent at one of her classes what she is paying and she is paying $15 less. Your class prices should be consistent. I really feel cheated now. Seems like bad business to me. I don't think I'll sign up again after the performance coming up. read more

Felt I needed to upgrade my ratings and point out why... This year, it's clear that the studio management clearly understands and promotes the importance of BALLET in dance fundamentals. They now require all competition dancers to continue with ballet classes (except those only doing hip hop). Again, this is an example of Dance Elite making sure that all 'serious' dancers remain up to date in their fundamental technique and skills. Miss Anne, the ballet mistress, is innovative, creative, and experienced...and has a wonderful way of making all dancers ENJOY ballet - even the ones who may have thought ballet was boring, compared to jazz or tap. Not anymore! read more

Best dance studio ever! My daughter has been dancing hip hop at this studio for 6 years. She has had the pleasure to be in Derek's and Ryan's classes they both are amazing instructors! She absolutely loves being in their classes. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, professional and helpful at all times.... and Faith is awesome. This studio is our second home and feels more like a family. I definitely recommend Dance Elite for all ages and levels of dance no matter the style your child prefers, Dance Elite offers many dance styles at every age and level. All teachers are terrific!!! read more

My daughter came to this studio after we moved to the area and took a hip hop class. It is on the pricier side but was so close to my house so we signed up. She really liked her teacher and everyone we had contact with was pretty friendly. However, for me, the studio felt a little impersonal- not sure if it's because they are so large and have so many classes? The front desk are professional and just that- I don't think they ever learned or attempted to learn my daughters name. I think like anything else, it has to be a right fit for you. I do have friends that absolutely love it there. read more

My daughter goes to this dance studio and likes it. Her teachers are fun and energetic and she enjoys herself. My only complaint is, I signed my daughter up to do the summer showcase and when I went to get tickets at the door they were all sold out. I understand that there is a lot of dancers, however I paid for my daughter to do the showcase yet I don't even get to watch her. The parents should be allowed to purchase tickets before everyone else. My daughter has been in shows before at other studios and I have never missed her show before. Was very upsetting. The place where the shows are held should be big enough so everyone has a opportunity so see their child or family member perform. Again my daughter likes it here, however I'm sure she would like other studios as well. If there was something closer to my house I would probably go there instead. read more

My daughter has been dancing here for 3 years. This dance studio is one of the best I have seen. My review today is specially for Risa at the front desk. Thank you Risa for being so awesome. read more

We moved to Rocklin a year ago and found Dance Elite right away - how lucky we are. We have been met with wonderful customer service and prompt responses to any problems we have had. My four kiddos are trying to figure out where they fit and the staff has been very accommodating to help with that transition. read more

Not only is this the most professional studio, but in addition to teaching proper techniques of dance, they care about building up our kids and teaching character. My 16 year old daughter chose to move to this studio some years ago when she realized she wanted to compete and have a career in dance. She was quite young and did the research herself, and I must say I couldn't be happier! She recently won the NEW FACE of Starbound 2014, meaning she will be featured in the brochures and posters, and this is something she would not have even entered if the owner, Faith Gardner, had not encouraged her. I've always felt safe leaving my daughter at this studio! read more

Very disorganized school! I still don't know who is the manager and who to contact. We paid for June and then we were told that all classes end on June 17, so I paid for two weeks extra and no one bothered to contact me and offer reimbursement, even though I had left my contact info on numerous occasions. We will definitely not come back and I'll make sure none of my friends go to this school. Horrible! read more

My 2 girls have danced at various studios in and around Roseville, and we have found that Dance Elite has the best dance program by far! We are here to stay! The teachers are great at what they do, and most of them dance themselves- so they are great role models for the kids. The choreography is challenging for each age group, and the teachers are great at cheering the kids on. My daughter says her favorite part of the shows are when the instructors are standing off stage, cheering for the students! That shows they want their students to succeed, and it always puts a smile on my kids faces! read more

I have opened a dispute of the charges with my credit card company at this time. Please note, with Christmas, New Year and my daughter getting sick in December, she went to only 1 or two classes in December. read more

We are new to the area and after 5 years with a fabulous dance studio in Napa, CA we were very mindful of what things we wanted (and did not want) in a dance studio for our daughter. Dance Elite All-Stars has proven to be just that: elite all stars! They are a very high quality dance studio with very professional instructors. This is where the rubber meets the road for our daughter;they require a lot from their dancers and the opportunity is there if you want it. Our daughter is in 5th grade and on 4 of their "youth" dance teams. She is required to go to conditioning class once per week, ballet class once per week and a technique class as well (those are to support her main dance classes). We have had a positive experience so far but it's definitely been "drinking from a fire hose." There is just so MUCH, I just wasn't really prepared for it. In terms of administration, Michelle and Alicia (I think her name is Alicia...Ashley maybe? Sorry, I forget), both are fabulous and know their stuff. Dawn's name was (I think) slandered a bit by Beth L. in a prior post. I've had several communications with Dawn and she's not at all what was described. She is professional, meticulous and factual. She's not there to give you a warm fuzzy - she's there to be a professional accounting administrator and she's polite, respectful and does her job well. I haven't had any interaction at all with Faith Gardner, except for being a parent at a teams meeting before the season started, and all I can say is she's well spoken, knows her stuff and has really good jewelry (I couldn't help but stare...sorry, the ADD kicks in and I really admired it). The bottom line is my daughter likes the studio and is getting what she needs from it. Do I feel nickel-and-dimed? Yeah, sorta. But that's because she's on competition teams and there's always a fee for something. But, overall, are we happy with the studio? Yes. Do we want to move our girl to a different studio because Mom feels nickel'd and dimed? Heavens no. They're tough on her and she's getting so much better for it. Is she going to be a professional dancer? Probably not. But she's learning discipline, teamwork and how to set and meet a goal. My girl is happy, so mom is happy and that's why I'm writing this review. If you're thinking about a studio for your dancer, check out Dance Elite. They really ARE a top-notch group of people with a really good program. read more

We originally bought the Living Social deal to entertain our daughter for two months and start another activity. However, we are pleased to be apart of the Dance Elite Family. She enjoys her class time, instructor, staff, etc. They hand out coloring pages for the kids to redeem for various prizes and tickets which allow you to be entered into an end of the month contest. They have fun monthly participation events like neon or crazy hair days. I am so pleased with everything they offer. We originally weren't going to keep her in especially after they got an influx of students and classes had 12 + kids but they added adjusted it and added another class so the kids were able to enjoy in a less hectic schedule. Miss. Alycia is amazing and absolutely loves the kids. She's patient and encouraging but most of all fun. We love Dance Elite!! read more

My teen daughter has been going here for a couple months taking Tap and Jazz. Prior to this she attended a good dance school but outgrew the classes. Dance Elite was just what she was looking for, something more challenging with students her age. The instructors and other students made her feel welcomed from day one. I've watched some of her classes and am very pleased with the pace and the higher level of dance she is learning. I have also been very pleased with the staff, they are friendly and helpful and the school is pretty organized and keeps you well informed with what's going on. The location is also great, if I want to run an errand while my daughters in class for an hour, it's close to a lot of shopping. I am really looking forward to my daughter's first performance this winter. read more

My 3 year old daughter started in the Tiny Tots class in August 2015. Miss Danielle is her teacher and is so patient and loving with her and the other kids in the class, as well as being a very talented dancer herself. The studio is incredibly informative with emails and phone calls about any upcoming events and guidance for us rookie dance parents! The front desk and every employee we have talked to is helpful and passionate about dance and spreading their knowledge on to their students. We are so excited to have found such a loving, compassionate, talented studio! read more

This was mine and my five year old daughters first attempt at dance classes and I can honestly say I don't want to be anywhere else! The front desk staff was kind and efficient at getting us all registered to go, which really helped because I had all sorts of questions :) Then when we started class I was overjoyed to see so many people there, some might think it would be crowded or hard to remember everyone's name but each and every week my daughter was greeting by miss Sarah and miss Joy with kindness and open arms and you could just tell that this was the place to be. We had Saturday classes ( which was amazing for my 9-5 work schedule during the week ) and we both made some wonderful friends. We never felt out of place or forgotten. It may be "pricey" to some but you get what you're paying for! It's a beautiful studio, with incredible teachers and wonderful front desk staffing I never get judged or silly for asking questions and they even replied to my emails promptly. My daughter learned technique and dance etiquette and the most important thing is she had fun. She asked me right after the summer showcase of she could sign up again! We love it here and for as long as I can I will make sure we stay a part of the dance elite family! read more

Instruction ok, but communication and special events are TERRIBLE. After other studios for our granddaughters, we wanted something closer so we tried Dance Elite. The staff was terrible about informing us of details regarding special events or needs along the way. The year end Christmas program was extremely frustrating. By the time the staff got around to telling us about it, the reserved seats available were terrible...smack against the wall. The price was rediculous at $15 per seat and the childdren were required to be there for TWO days...the weekend before Christmas. Couldn't be worse planning. Secondly, nothing was communicated to us about photography during the program. Just before the start of the show, it was announced NO photography of any kind is permitted as they have a professional photographer and videographer. Staff stood by to enforce no photography rule. They expected us to pay $25 for a video that would include our granddaughters' dance for all of 3 minutes. It's a freakin' CHILD'S program, are you kidding me?? No photography?? The previous dance studios held the special programs at Folsom High School, tickets were only $5 a seat and even though they also hired professional photographers and videographers, family was free to photograph the children. No way we are going back to Dance Elite as they are uncaring, unrealistic and money grabbing. read more
