I have watched the evolution of her students from itty bitty tots in tutus to Juilliard attendees. Her choreography, recitals and the emotional impact she elicits from her dancers has brought me to actual tears as it is so beautiful that it hurts. She is so tactful and considerate of her dancers and tgeir families during recitals and performances- she does not simply feature the most gifted and flashiest dancers, but instead rotates the dancers throughout the choreography so that "Baby is never left in the corner." I have never seen this in any other dance studio, performance or recital. Brevard is SO BLESSED to have this studio in our neighborhood. Brevard is not known as a hotbed of artistic culture, so it is beyond fortunate to have an educator at this level in our backyard. I do not know how she stays in business; unlike other studios which grift the parents for the cost of lessons, costumes, dance shoes and gear, Holly's prices are unsustainably low. She has her dancers dance barefoot to avoid the cost of constantly buying pricey dance shoes for rapidly growing feet. She charges cost for costumes, which she affordably sources online or recycles from previous students. She has even resorted to dyeing recycled costumes and repurposes them. No other studio does this and she does it so that her studio is inclusive for every socioeconomic group. She turns no one away regardless of their ability to pay. I have often counseled her to become a non profit because of all the scholarships she underwrites. If there are angels on this Earth, then Miss Holly is most assuredly, one of the best of them. I Miss Holly to pieces and treasure every moment I was fortunate enough to watch her dancers. She was meant for greater things but chooses to nurture art here.

Ms. Holly's prices are unbelievably fair- other dance studios nickel and dime the dance families for gear, lessons and over charging the families for competitions and recitals. Ms. Holly never does this. Ms. Holly was a professional dancer and choreographer for a luxury cruise line and her level of expertise is evident. My daughters are fortunate to have her as their teacher. Bring your kids or take an adult class you will love Ms. Holly and the vibe of her studio.

This is a beautiful theater built in the1920's that has been fully restored to its original glory…read more It was expanded backstage to accommodate sets and better backstage activity making this a great venue in which to perform and a great experience for the audience as well. I have attended dozens of performances here and each one was a quality production. Frankly, that was a surprise for such a small community. It seems that many professional actors have retired in the area and performers from Disney and other entertainment theme parks come here to gain additional experience and build their resumes. The out of all of this is this is a great venue with great actors. So you can enjoy good theater locally. AND Cocoa Village is an interesting eclectic area to shop and explore before the performance and for drinks and dinner afterwards.

It's really great to see the energy of these performers, as everyone clearly loves being on stage and putting on a show! Theatre is set up with the floor angles and mezzanine for everyone to have a pretty good view. They also have concessions with beer/wine/hard seltzer and snacks for purchase. There are limited bathrooms, so make sure to keep that in mind before and during intermissions. Would definitely recommend to anyone to come check it out!

However, hula is so beautiful and relaxing that I got caught up in the entire dance and cultural experience. I now cannot imagine not dancing hula and have learned from the best. I had taken a Hawaiian dance class previous to moving to FL while living in Los Angeles and by far, Kumu Chrissy is the best; truly a gifted teacher. I doubt there are few of her skill level outside of Hawai'i. She truly enjoys what she does and it shows in her dedication to her students. And it's a lot of fun. The group of dancers (that has grown from a dozen to around 80) have become a second family as we perform at shows and competitions. From young children to retirees, we are truly blessed to have this wonderful opportunity experience in Brevard.

I have always wanted to do a painting class and this was so much fun. I decided it would be really…read morefun to do this with my mom since our birthdays are one after the other. I also invited our family and some friends. It was everyone's first time taking a Painting with a twist class and we all loved it. They allow you to bring your own drink and food. We brought wine and a charcuterie board and it was so easy to munch and sip through out the class. I loved how they have the stations set up and aprons to use. They play fun music and the class is very easy to follow. I was surprised by how great we all did and it was very cool to compare our art at the end. The teacher was very sweet and had a great personality for teaching. Overall the class was worth every $ and we would love to come back and do another class soon. As locals it's great to try something new in our neighborhood.

What I got was a fun, entertaining, and truly special evening all the while painting (which I had never done in my life. The moment you walk in, the staff helps with the selection of colors, the prep and points you to your assigned seats (written down by name!) Then that's where the fun begins. The artist walks you through, step-by-step on how to pull of the painting - I had my doubts I could actually do it, but even though I'm saying this myself, I think I did a pretty good job. There was friendly and fun banter throughout the whole process, a break period where we had a fun game drawing a cow (or was it a giraffe?) and even someone won a prize. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'm already looking forward to going back again (and more.)

Calling Amanda Pogach for piano lessons was one of my best recent decisions. As a middle-aged man…read morewith no prior musical training and uncertain talent, I was hesitant. I wanted to be able to play fun tunes on the keyboard for friends at parties and in particular I wanted to be able to play a jazzy version of Happy Birthday for my wife's upcoming birthday. I took the plunge and am glad I did. After a year and half of lessons, I can read music and play at least two dozen short, popular tunes, some of them beyond beginner level. More important, I am now able to pick up music that interests me and easily get started on learning to play it... and, these days, when I listen to music, I can relate to it in a more insightful way than I ever have before. Lessons with Amanda are well-structured, rigorous and fun. We initially spent several sessions on reading music and on foundational topics like rhythm, pitch, intervals, scales and chords. I was a bit impatient at the time, but I understand now how Amanda brought it all together to give me a solid base from which to learn more advanced topics and tunes. Amanda is good with technology. After our first several sessions in her studio, our lessons have mostly been by Skype. Whether she is away on holiday or at her studio, and whether I am at home or traveling to other cities on projects, a portable keyboard, inexpensive webcam, laptop and internet connectivity are enough for lessons to take place seamlessly. I have found learning this way to be very effective. I can see and hear Amanda. She can hear me play, and in particular, can see my fingers on the keyboard. When I need to see her keyboard fingering technique, she simply points her camera to her hands. Amanda's musical education and her practical experience as a professional soprano make her a qualified (and fun) teacher. I am happy with my lessons and am glad to be learning from her. I recommend Amanda Pogach wholeheartedly, I wish you good luck as you begin your own musical journey.

One and a half years ago I called Amanda with no musical experience (other than some singing in the…read moreshower) and a desire to learn more about my own voice. When I met with Amanda, she was very open and made me feel at ease about my relative lack of singing knowledge. We started working on the very basics of singing and have been progressing to increasingly difficult skills over time. She has been quite lovely about helping me to grow at my own pace--encouraging me when I needed it and pushing me when she saw that I could go further. Along the way, I decided that I would try my hand at auditioning for bands in the tri state area. After 3 months of lessons, I auditioned and booked my first job as a singer! Since that time, I've continued to grow in my ability to sing freely with greater range, improved tone, and an increasing amount of confidence. Vocal lessons with Amanda are both fun and focused. Because I was a beginner, my first several sessions began with learning about posture, breath support, and some simple vocal exercises. Since that time, the vocal exercises have gotten progressively more challenging and are focused on the areas of my singing that could use strengthening or expanding. Although we work quite hard, we also laugh quite a bit which makes it easy to keep coming back! I've really enjoyed the structure of each individual lesson as well. Lessons start with vocal exercises/instruction and then move to singing any song that you choose. It's a wonderful way to get a vocal foundation while also getting to practice the things that you are learning with songs that you love! Lessons with Amanda are also quite accessible. I've been able to get appointment times that allow me to accommodate the other parts of my life, and I've also been able to do lessons via Skype. As I intermittently travel for work, this has been especially helpful! If you're looking for voice lessons from a caring, competent teacher who can help you grow by leaps and bounds, then I would definitely recommend contacting Amanda. You won't regret it! :-)
