Mom (and I) have Scottish heritage and she grew up with her Scottish Dad singing Highland songs to her and in turn sang them to me. So it would be an understatement to say this music was a very important component of Mom's funeral service. Dr. Pazo phoned me beforehand to get a sense of what the service would be like and what our musical requests were. He was compassionate, kind, and efficient at a time when I was in shock from my mom's death but needed to call on my executive functioning skills for funeral planning. Definitely a challenging time but I was so relieved that the bagpipes would be played at my mom's funeral. When the day arrived it was an incredibly moving and powerful experience to arrive at the graveside and see Dr. Pazo in his full regalia and hear the haunting sound of the resonant bagpipes which filled the air. The bagpipes and the beautiful songs Dr. Pazo played gave a weight and power, a somber honor to my mother's life that I and my family will always remember. We grateful for Dr. Pazo's artistry, empathy, and power as he played the bagpipes. Some time after mom's funeral I watched Queen Elizabeth's funeral. When I heard and saw the bagpipe procession, I said, "I think we had a better bagpipe player at mom's funeral." That's how great Dr. Pazo is! List of Songs Played: Prelude: On Eirin's Green Shores, My Home, O Flower of Scotland, My Bonnie Lass, Skye Boat Song, The Isle of Innisfere, You Raise Me Up, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God Processional : O Danny Boy Commital Song: Auld Lang Syne Potslude: Abide With Me, Going Home

It's fun when all my favorite things are within walking distance of each other. Small but mighty, the game selection varies from a handful of pinball machines, to pool and skee-ball, with several of my favorite classics sprinkled in, such as Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong. They had some of Dave's faves as well, NBA Jam and Street Fighter II. Most classic games cost a quarter, pinball costs a dollar, so standard prices, nothing too expensive for what it is imo. There's a change machine next to the small seating area toward the front door. When we came through last weekend after eating at Thai Kitchen next door, it was medium crowded close to 7 at night. Folks were coming from Lodi Comic Con, so I don't have a grasp on when it's busy here vs not. Anyhow, a crowd meant waiting awhile for drinks as there was just one bartender doing her best. I think they should have at least two for a weekend evening, but that's just me. Not the one bartender's fault regardless. They have a list of specialty cocktails to choose from, but I went with my usual. We had a good time with what change we had on us. I love pinball but I'm pretty bad at it so that dollar doesn't go very far. They had the Godzilla machine, and that's a favorite of mine. I only ran into one game that wasn't working, but it gave me my quarter back so that's a win win. Overall solid date night spot, and I know we will be back soon. I love that we have an arcade so close now! One note I would add for improvement: please consider more drink stands! Hard to play with nowhere to put a drink, unless in shifts. I did see some, but more would be awesome.
