I also wasn't enjoying a typical gym workout and the memberships cost too much. Now I had zero back ground in dance but music has spoken to me for the majority of my life. I took a chance and walked into a Zumba class at Dee Dee's and I was hooked. Believe me, I sucked. I had no rythym. I couldn't keep up and I was often not on the same side of the room as the rest of the class. I laughed at myself and kept coming to classes. The instructors were positive, sweet, and humorous. I loved the endorphins and learning new dance moves. I've been coming to Dee Dee's classes since Sept of 2013. I got pregnant about the same time and kept going all the way up through 9 months along. Zumba made me strong for labor. I started back to classes at 4 weeks post pardum because I missed it so much. I have never felt so good in my whole life. I have rhythm. I'm strong. I can even dance. :) I've lost 50 lbs (30 of baby weight and 20 beyond that) and my knee that's bothered me for the longest time is stronger and hurts less. Most importantly, I can keep up with my 2 busy boys. Thank you to Dee for having a vision of offering such a fun dance workout that is MORE than affordable. She is an amazing teacher that leads us to succeed. She makes us work and encourages us to do our best-after all, it is our workout. I love that Dee Dee cares so deeply for all of the women that come through the doors. She is here to shape us and teach us how to move in a way that we won't injure ourselves. She rejoices with us in our moments of reaching our goals. She works hard to tailor her classes to each person. Thank you for what you do. :) xoxo

I feel better and I look better but there is always work to be done. In addition to the hard work and determination you bring, DeeDee is an amazing teacher, trainer, motivator and she'll be you're biggest cheerleader not to mention an awesome friend. It's a win win situation. For me I have had some physical struggles and DeeDee has gone above and beyond to accommodate and modify my workouts. You couldn't ask for a better camaraderie among everyone that comes to any of her classes...its laid back there is absolutely no pressure. Its your work out and we have fun and get healthy all at the same time. If the gym is just not your thing you're in for a treat. It's a dance party with new friends every time you come. She offers drop ins at a minimal cost. Come check it out you won't be sorry!!

The students and their families are an amazing testament to the type of studio that is run at SDS. Everyone is so nice and welcoming of each other and it truly is a big dance family. The students are taught so much more than dancing and it shows when you sit back and watch how they behave and interact with each other. I especially appreciated seeing how all of the older students are so nice to the younger generation who are all looking up to them with admiration. I have two jets skis a 2005 Seadoo GTX and a 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser. I took them both in for an…read moreoil change and tune-up but also had an issue with the Seadoo start/stop switch. I was pressed for time and had a small window to get this done. I called and spoke to Nathan and he was able to accommodate my schedule and get the job done and on time. A bit about the service. I did receive a call from Nathan about my jet skis and he was able to thoroughly provide a status and clearly explained what he found. My main concern was the switch, he tested the switch and the relay and everything was good. He told me how to rectify the problem and did not recommend changing any parts. I asked about replacing with new parts and he told me it would function the same. I appreciated his honesty and was pleased he did not take advantage of an opportunity to make more money! The customer service was outstanding! I talked to both Nathan and Marina and they both were nice and pleasant. When I arrived they both greeted me and helped me unhook my trailer. When I came to pick up my jet skis, Nathan showed me my old parts and explained what was done. Marina took my payment and they both assisted with hooking up my trailer. I definitely will be back to winterize and service my jet skis. Great job Nathan and Marina!

Update 04-29-2012…read more Biking up Hutchins St past Legion Park, I noticed a Tennis Ball across the street from the Tennis Courts in the Park. Couldn't throw it back... because all the Tennis Players were gone. Took back the brand new Ball to Joe, my Dog.... Kept him busy for hours. Thank you... inept Tennis Players... Original Review 04-01-2008 Where to go to play Tennis in Lodi? And at night? My favorite place is at Legion Park on Hutchins street. There are four courts, AND there is also night lighting! In Lodi, there is also Kofu Park, about a mile West of Legion Park with 5 courts and a couple of tennis hitting walls and courtside bench seating... but Kofu attracts a "different" type of park goer. And Kofu is aimed more for larger group sports activities such as baseball and skateboarding. The second reason why I like this small park is that there is a small grove of tall trees at the West end of the park. The shade produced by those trees is sooooo inviting in the Summer! Just makes you want to set up a hammock and start taking a nap. Kofu Park, on the other hand, looks so HOT in the Summer... There is absolutely no trees... you can't put up trees near a baseball diamond or near a skateboarding course! I've always grown up equating a park with trees! Another reason why I dislike Kofu Park is the Lodi Municipal Garage situated right next to the park! There are City of Lodi vehicles that can include cop cars, city vehicles... essentially anything motorized that is owned by the City of Lodi, that passes right by the Tennis Courts. Sometimes the congestion is awful! Legion Park, also known as American Legion Park, also has a small playground for the little tykes in the family. Other sports activities is a basketball court (enclosed). There is also a picnic / barbecue area (3 picnic tables) for city park picnics or outside get-togethers. I understand that reservations are required, though. More family oriented that most other parks in Lodi, without the vagrancy prevalent in the more isolated parks in Lodi. Small enough that no member of your family would get lost, and more than enough type of activities to keep you busy. Note that night Tennis only until 11pm. Where to play Tennis if all the Tennis Courts in Lodi are filled? Get a list of apartment complexes that have lit courts... just act like you're a resident, and you've got it made!
