Tracy is absolutely amazing!!! I came in with a raging headache due to back and neck ache. She worked on all of the areas that were bothering me and I walked out feeling 110% better! She is SO knowledgeable about the anatomy of the body, and truly so talented. She has been doing this for 14 years and it shows! I am going to recommend Tracy to anyone and everyone. 75$ for an hour, and worth every penny! read more

I was a walk in, absolutely miserable, and had no one available . Susan, the owner, has owned this biz for 27 yrs. It's not a big spa but a little Boutique Beach Spa. Calming lobby. Susan saw how much pain I was in and she took me right in; she was excellent. I highly recommend this place. It's is right next door to Bon Jour Cafe. read more

Great place for relaxing, professional massage. MAYA did an amazing work on my neck pain that was bothering me. Best massage I ever had, had experience with more that 100 massage sessions and she definitely knows her craft. She is great, the atmosphere is relaxing. read more

Great massage, so relaxing! Don't go anywhere else, go here! Professional, customer service is amazing.

What a relaxing massage with Dasha! The spa is a local place with a nice Ocean vibe - I had an 1.5 hour prenatal massage and it was heavenly! The pressure was great, the amount of oil/lotion used was perfect... A+ Highly recommend! read more

This is the best massage place I've ever been. I was super relaxed and I just want to sleep after my massage. I will definitely come back! It's worth the long drive. read more

Sherrie is truly a miracle worker! If you have tension or pain, I've never had someone better.

My wife and I came for massages while on vacation. She's 8 months pregnant so she got the prenatal massage which she said was the best she's ever had. She had Nikki massage her and attended to her needs exceptionally throughout the experience. Dasha massaged me and gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. I'd highly recommend! read more

Had a gift card for this place & they did NOT honor the gift card I had from them. Seeing the other reviews say the same sounds like they've been on this bullshit, scamming people for a while. Also sounds like all of the good massage therapists dipped because I did not have any girl that was recommended in the reviews work on me & I left with knots & pain from tightness all over my body still, my personal masseuse does not let me leave with that much tension & pain. Save yourself money & go Turkish oil wrestling, you'll be slathered in oil & your opponent would work more knots out than this shitty place. read more

The massage was great Been going to this location for the last 15 years and I've never been disappointed. It's a truly wonderful experience, and I invite all my friends to experience the same degree of satisfaction as I have enjoyed and also my family. I also recommended for them to go to this establishment as well. read more

BAD COVID PROTECTIONS and Poor massage technique. I used to love this place, but I think ownership changed. The masseuses were previously the best I had, but I think they've filled open roles with the first available people and not skilled masseuses. My masseuse gave the type of massage I'd expect at a $20 massage place - based on her massage style, I'd assume she used to work at one of those places. My spouse's masseuse was coughing and grumped when asked to wear a mask. If you're coughing, you should NOT be providing a service. I was irritated when I found this out, and told my spouse we should have left. I had to schedule a massage elsewhere since no knots were worked out. Total waste of money. read more

The overall experience with Dasha was amazing. She is truly the whole package! I am calling her the holistic healer- mind, body and soul! The massage, body scrub and scalp massage was so great and relaxing. She is definitely a true professional who is skilled in her craft. I live out of state but will be back! Thanks Dasha! read more

I decided to take a staycation an hour from home just to decompress. While in Dana Point, I found Bodycentre Spa. I booked a 2 hour full body massage and a body scrub and wrap. Wow!! This place was amazing!!! My technician Dasha made me feel so comfortable throughout both services. She took her time, had such a relaxing vibe to her and was easy to talk to. The services were wonderful!! I highly recommend Bodycentre if you're looking for a spa day. Sherri at the front desk is so welcoming and helpful. She explained everything to me ahead of time and encouraged me to use the sauna treatment they offer before my services. I would most definitely return here and recommend it to any spa goers. You won't be disappointed! read more

I just left this place, maybe 10 minutes ago and I cannot wait to come back. It was clean and everyone was very friendly. I don't even live in the area but I'd make the drive because Christina was AMAZING. She was above and beyond what I expected for me scheduling a last minute appointment somewhere. She genuinely asked me about pains and my general posture. Her massage was glorious and she even gave me tips for at home. She was great, and I absolutely recommend this place (and her especially). Thank you Christina, you're amazing!! read more

I am very impressed with the service I received from the front office and Emily (Ortho-Bionomy Technician, Reiki Practitioner). I called for a same day appointment hoping they would have an appointment available, with the short notice they accommodated my needs and went above my expectations by making it work. Emily is very professional and it shows she knows what she is doing when it comes to knowing people's body's and needs. I didn't give her any special instructions of what I wanted in a massage and she somehow knew exactly what my body needed. I left feeling super relaxed and can't wait for my next appointment. She also made it a point to ask if I needed anything different to let her know during the massage. read more

Was in town for work and could feel my back start to get tweaky. Called for a same day appointment and Laura made it happen. I wasn't expecting how fabulous my massage from Shay would be, what a gift. Magic. Trying to get one more visit in before I leave, it was that good! read more

This place is great! Tracy is a very talented massage therapist. I actually used to get massages from her at another spa. So, now that I've found her here at DPB, I'm committed to her healing touch. She's very knowledgeable about anatomy, more so than the average therapist. She's both strong but intuitively gentle! There's other therapists here that are great as well, but she's my fav! read more

I have to say that this place was nothing to write home about. I went here while on vacation and got a 2 hour massage. Despite requesting deep tissue, the massage was pretty light and I came out of it feeling no better than when I had arrived. read more

My wife, then girl friend, introduced me to Sherry, who works as a massage therapist at the Dana Point Bodycentre. I was never big on massages before getting one from Sherry. I got them a couple of times before going to Sherry, but my expectation was that the massage feels pretty good, and I feel a little refreshed afterward. Boy was I wrong. After getting a massage from Sherry, I realized that the "massages" I was getting were just rub downs with oil; not too useful if you really have muscle/skeletal problems. Everyone should get a massage from Sherry at least once. She will be able to help you deal with problems that you may have never attributed to muscle problems. If you go once, you will see what I mean, and you will not go to anybody else after that for massages. Sherry's massages are truly therapeutic, in that she pin points trouble spots, and she knows exactly what to do to cure them. I have had back problems, shoulder stiffness, neck stiffness, arm stiffness, sore legs, etc. I even had a rib that was displaced, which she detected and told me to go to the chiropractor to get it popped back in. Sherry's knowledge of muscle/bone relationships in the human body just blows me away. She doesn't waste time rubbing you down with oil. That's for tourists. Everything she does to you or have you do has a purpose that leads to a cure. You can literally feel the muscles starting to melt away where there was total stiffness before. Another thing to note is that after my first session with Sherry, I had the best sleep in a very long while. I was told that this is due to better blood circulation as a result of the massage. I am pretty sure that after the massage, I had blood flow in parts of the body that hadn't had blood flow in years, maybe even over ten years. Again, I think this result is attributed to Sherry's skill and knowledge. She really knows what she's doing. Sherry is also very patient and helpful, and she takes time to ask questions to diagnose cause, and fixes them. She also takes time to explain how you can avoid having the same problem pop up in the future. I worry about the day that Sherry will no longer be giving massages, for whatever reason. I am pretty sure I will not be able to find anyone that is going to be able to fill her shoes. There are plenty of places that play soft music and give you a rub down with scented oil, but there is only one Sherry, and seriously, there is no one that can replace her. Needless to say, Sherry is highly recommended. Be sure you call in to make an appointment because she gets booked up pretty fast. read more

Last day of a 5 day stay in Dana Point. My husband and son went out on fishing trip. Me time! Found this excellent place through yelp. Called in for noonish appointment, their first opening was at 2pm, didn't work for me so i said thank you and hung up. About 10 minutes later received a call back (did not leave my name or number) they confirmed it was me, looking for a noonish appointment... They had a couple of cancellations wallah! I'm in ! Excellent customer service. My 60 minute massage was as excellent. Great therapist, I don't recall her name . I'm from out of town but recommend read more

Have only come here for the sauna, which is a great deal if you want a sauna membership. Great pricing, friendly staff. Havent gotten a massage or any other treatment so can't vouch for those. Easy parking in front. All good things to say. They even have a shower to use which I love after sweating. read more

I received a massage as a birthday present. Coincidentally, my lower back was giving me fits. Noel gave me the best deep massage I have ever had. After, it is kind of weird for my back to not hurt. Love this place ! As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with a friendly atmosphere and smiles ! I had Christina for my massage therapist and she is absolutely perfect !!! She is so helpful and the infrared sauna is a must try ! Definitely feel relaxed and fresh after my visit here ! read more

Although this place isn't much to look at from the outside, do not let that deter you. The price is right and I had a wonderful experience. It's always tough with spas because so much depends on the particular person you see. I saw Ken and as long as I'm in the area I won't be seeing anyone else! He did a truly exceptional job and I came out feeling like a whole new person! My friend, who saw Sherry, was also more than happy with her massage. We are already planning our next trip. Personally, I think that if you see either of these people you are guaranteed to have a great trip!! read more

Exactly what N.S. said ! I've been going to Bodycentre in other OC locations for over 10 years and I've always loved what they are about . I always experienced skilled therapists who were trained and certified for deep tissue massages . I came to this location expecting the same standard but was highly disappointed. After telling the receptionist that I wanted a 90 minute deep tissue massage , the gal raved about Anne. I received nothing more than the same type of massage that I could have gotten for $20 in Westminster --which I'm a fan of bc being of Asian descent , I know their methodology and love paying what it is worth . After thoroughly expressing to my masseuse,Anne , that I did not want the entire massage done with elbows and forearms, and prefer the true method of deep tissue which takes someone skilled in physiology and the anatomy using hand manipulation . She did not listen to my request --as everyone is different-- but she insisted her way. I've never experienced that before ! Most skilled therapists listen to the needs of their client and customize as such . I then shorten massage to 60 mins bc I just did not enjoy it. I expressed my concerns w the front desk and she just dismissed it as "Anne uses her own method". Deep tissue massage is a science and takes a skilled therapist . I was super disappointed and unhappy that I had to pay $79. Most professional establishments would have offered something to unhappy customers to rectify the situation. Not a penny was offered and there was no acknowledgement of this customer's concern. Too bad . One customer lost for sure. read more

To me, there is nothing lamer than paying for a weak massage. I have some major knottage that I am dealing with and a baby massage ain't gonna cut it... In fact, it's just gonna piss me off. This week after suffering with a flare up, my bestest sent (via email) a gift certificate for the Bodycentre. Honestly, I couldn't have used that thing any sooner, I got in right away. Nita gave me a 2-hour Thai Massage that popped and untied some nasty knots out of my back, shoulders, and neck. Don't let her size fool you, this little sparrow packs a powerful punch. Super intuitive, knowing when to increase the intensity and when to ease up. Seriously good medicine. I'll be going again next week because darnit, it took a long time for my back to get this bad and it's gonna take a long time to get it right. read more

I just had a massage with Movita and she was a miracle. It's hard to find a masseuse who really understands the body and is willing to do the hard work. Movita is another story - a blessing. I went in on Sunday with major shoulder muscle pain thinking I've torn something or have rotator cuff issues and Movita has started my healing process. After explaining how I was sleeping with my arm over my head, she indicated my muscles are tight and causing the pain. I mean pain! She spent 1.5 hours working my shoulders, arms, forearms, and back and it's the first time in a good month, I am feeling better. Don't get me wrong - she pounded on me! Some people just can't handle that, however I just knew she was right. I'll be seeing her on sunday again to make this go away for good. Thank you for your blessed service Movita! read more

Had a great massage from this sweet lady. She was from Europe. Probably one of the best massage I've had in a long time. Will definitely go back and ask for her. I forgot her name since I am posting this a couple weeks later. read more

This place is great! While it is not fancy - at all - actually it is very, very, very plain, BUT it is the best massage I've ever had. I always try to see Yan. She is amazing. Her fingers are like diving rods. She can sense where the pain is in your body, even if you didn't realize you had pain in that part of your body! And she has a way of using firm pressure that doesn't actually feel firm. She does this thing where she puts her elbow in my glute - same thing my chiropractor does - and I can tell she's using just as much pressure as my chiropractor does but somehow it doesn't hurt quite as badly as when my chiro does it : ) If I could afford to see Yan every week I would be there for sure. I've had massages by at least two of the other therapists there as well over the years (including Ken) and they were both really good as well. But my top choice is Yan. I highly recommend DP Bodycentre to anyone looking to get a great massage!! read more

LOVE IT! My wife said go get a massage today I know a great place. Upon pulling up I was thinking... Hmmm I knew I wasn't going to a fancy place so I was skeptical upon arriving. HA HA! This place was really great, and not just for the money. It was really great! I had Suzanne and she did exactly what we talked about, and worked out my kinks. It is next to a busy restaurant so you could hear the noise through the walls at times as it was Sunday, sooo maybe beware of when you book your time. Besides that it is a great spot for the dollars spent! read more

I have a tweaked back for a while and Sherry @ Dana Point Bodycentre has always helped with it every time I see her. She is a super cool lady and has your body feeling great while you're getting the massage and after! Kaila @ the front office is awesome!!!! She is very nice and always gets me in when I need it. Would give this place 10 stars if I could. Will be coming here forever read more

Wow. Got an incredible 2 hour Swedish massage and felt absolutely amazing. Knocked me out into the deepest sleep and I woke up with a very grateful body. The prices are super reasonable too since they don't waste money on some ritzy setting. If you want a spa with all the external frills...this is not the place for you. Yan Yin was my masseuse. I highly recommend her! read more

Let the record state: I NEVER Yelp about subjects other than restaurants however, I wanted to share my wonderful massage experience with the entire Yelp world! Do not expect a lush day spa in a beautiful building with, oxygen rich plants, soft mood lighting, comfortable sofas and chairs, a cozy fireplace, pristine locker rooms, hot Cabana Boy, etc. The ambiance is rather plain. Nonetheless, the therapists are creme de la creme - top notch! Yan Yin (a.k.a., Emily to clients) is the BEST masseuse ever to lay hands on my birthday suit. Her technique flows between Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Cranial Therapy, Thai massage and Ortho-Bionomy. While most body workers "save" their thumbs offering elbows and palms, Emily used deep thumb kneading in stiff knotted muscles of my tight back. In a gentle, circular motion - with the palm of her hand - she applied Ortho-Bionomy to my sacrum and L1 (lower back) area. Instantly I felt energy flow deep within the region, the whole area released tension and deep relaxation occurred. Fact: Body workers hired at Montage Resort, Burke Williams and the Ritz also work at the Body Centre - their technique is superb despite humble surroundings in the commercial center of Dana Point. My deeply soothing 90 minute combo massage was a great value at $102 (sans $tip) . I look forward to my next appointment next week! read more

We had previously purchased a gift card at this owners other location. We called and were told by someone on her staff that they would honor the gift card. We went and got our massage but when it came time to pay they did not honor the gift card and were told to go back to talk to the owner. We went back to talk to the owner and she was very RUDE and said that she would lose business if she honored every complaint. We will never go back to this place nor recommend it to anyone! No wonder her previous location crashed! read more

Nobody wears masks here. I understand that there is a risk to be had when getting a massage- but I definitely expected more. The massage therapist asked if I felt more comfortable if she wore a mask, and after I said yes, she closed the door and continued to talk shit about it while I could hear loud and clear. The massage therapist told me to not live my life in fear and seemed annoyed to wear a mask during my massage. The massage itself was nice but it was hard to relax after her extreme rudeness and continued chit chat during the massage. read more

I took my teenage daughter here last Friday afternoon for a massage after a very hectic week. My daughter's therapist told her she "was too muscular" and had "man shoulders". She said Jill, her therapist, talked the entire time throughout the 1.5 hour service. My daughter has been struggling with her weight for the past 2 years, and really didn't need a massage therapist criticizing her body while she was trying to relax and unwind. My husband & I have been clients here on and off for the past 8 years. We will not be returning-ever. All the therapists talk way too during the treatments and quite frankly, they should mind their own business. read more
