I do not know what else this shop can fix, as they were seemingly unwilling to look at my automatic watch (although it is in quite bad shape) and the quartz watch I have that's in rough shape also didn't get looked at. So, I would call and see if they can solve your issue prior to going in. Overall I had a nice experience and would go back, probably not for batteries though.

When I came back just after 1 pm, there were a few other customers, so I had to wait 10 minutes or so, but the actual process of my watches being fixed was very quick and was only $10 total. Service was also very friendly. I would definitely come back for any watch repair needs. They currently have a notice on their door that they are closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday this year.

A small diamond on my wife's wedding band fell out after 2 years of owning it. Not a huge deal, it's whatever. We have had it for 2 years and it's small. Was willing to get it replaced. So she brought the ring in, and somebody took a look at it and said NOOO problem!!! we will replace the diamond for free, and we will ensure the setting isn't loose (turned out it was). So we got the ring back, and not even ONE WEEK LATER! the same diamond fell out while we were at a wedding overseas. One week. So my wife brought it back in to say wtf, you guys "fixed it" but then the same issue happened. You'd think we wouldn't have to pay for it, since they obviously didn't fix the setting. Turns out they want to charge us $100. Whatever. When my wife went to go back after another week of waiting for it to be fixed, they shut the door on her as they were closing and said sorry, everything's locked up. You're a mom and pop shop, not a chain jeweler. You'd think you'd put the customer first and just stay open another 5 minutes to help somebody else. Worst part of it all: the lady said "oh you should have called when it fell out! we probably would have replaced it for free" as she is swiping the credit card. WHAT?! We are telling you now!!! after THOUSANDS and thousands of dollars spent here, no way I am ever stepping foot in there again. For those reasons, I'm out.

I brought it to the local major fine jewelry store that usually services my watches for a routine battery change. They informed me that the watch was not working and would need a new mechanism. That being said, I have a long relationship with the jewelry store and completely trust them... they have always done great work. But, before having them replace the mechanism, I brought the watch to Randy of Specialty Watch Repair. He spent about an hour with the watch. When he returned, the watch was back in working order. He informed me that a spring had popped out and that he had replaced it. I don't even want to say how little he charged as his place would be too full. All I will say is that Randy is honest, generous, and competent. My lesson was that a jewelry store, no matter how great, is a jewelry store. A watch is not really jewelry.
