It was a huge load off my mind to know I had a professional on the job. Christie is a total animal person who obviously loves her job--and it shows in the professionalism of her service. She asked a few initial questions during the initial phone consultation and agreed to come over and meet him and see what could be done to calm him down and deal with the specific behaviors we were concerned about (jumping up on strangers, growling at other male dogs, pulling on the leash.) She came over and immediately connected with Titus. She seems to have an intuitive understanding of what's going on in a dog's mind just by watching how they move and where they're placing their attention, and it's incredible to watch her connect with the animal. (I'll even admit to feeling a little jealous of watching them play together, tbh.) We learned some basic exercises to modify his behavior and were told, a little sternly, that he needed at least twice as much exercise as we were giving him to keep him physically and mentally calm. Fortunately, she also showed us some "brain toys" we could use to keep him moving and thinking to make up some of the gap. Titus is showing improvement already, and I'm confident that when Beth comes over for her follow-up visit she'll be pleased with how we've used what she showed us. Thank you so much for your help.
