I can't speak for the Dan Mick Guided Tour, but i can speak about Dan Mick himself. Great guy! I was driving the Hell's Revenge trail in a rented UTV and stopped at Hell's Gate to check it out. While checking it out, Dan and his tour arrived; and unprovoked, he asked if I would like to jump in his jeep to take a closer look at Hell's Gate. I didn't know who he was, or whether I would survive, but i jumped in his jeep anyway. And it was awesome! About half way down, he introduced himself and mentioned that his company provided guided Jeep tours throughout Moab. Dan was super nice, funny and full of great information. He went out of his way to give me a ride, when he certainly didn't need to. It will be a story I tell for the rest of my life. Thanks Dan! read more

This was an incredible adventure! Richard was our driver on the Hell's Revenge trail. It's a wild ride yet he makes it look so easy. Richard's driving skills are amazing, his Dad has taught him well. Richard had a wealth of information about geology, nature, and so much more. The stops had incredible views of the La Sal Mountains, amazing canyons (good echo's), and fantastic views of the Colorado River Canyon. My family and I vacationed in Moab recently and we went on a Dan Mick Jeep tour. I just have to say that my family and I had an incredible time!! This is a 3 generation family business, which we think is really cool! Robert was our guide and he was fabulous! We felt completely safe the entire time. Robert took us through Hell's Gate, Micky's Hot Tub and Escalator! Wow!! I would highly recommend paying the extra amount to experience Micky"s Hot Tub and Escalator! That will be an experience that we will never forget! What a rush! We went just before sunset and the scenery and vistas were unmatched. Robert picked us up at our hotel and delivered us safely after the tour. I forgot my sunglasses in the jeep and didn't realize it until after we had left Moab the next day. I called and asked if they had found them, and they did. They even offered to mail them back to me! What great customer service! You will have an amazing experience if you go with this jeep tour and you will be so glad that you did! read more

If you are in Moab and you havent done Dan Mick's Jeep Tour, your trip is incomplete. These guys are just awesome. We had a blast going on 3-hour adventure tour. We had 2 jeeps and the drivers for both of them - Curtis and Lane - were extremely knowledgable, professional and fun. We had young ones with us and they made sure that they included them in their story-telling of the Moab area and how they grew up in this "playground". Highly recommend. read more

My friends and I hired Dan Mick to lead us on the Poison Spider/Golden Spike/Gold Bar Rim trails. We all had our own Jeeps, 4 Jeeps total and Dan kept us all moving while still giving plenty of time to relax and take plenty of pictures. Dan's knowledge of the area is second to none! Hands down the best, most knowledgeable and friendliest tour guide in the area! They don't call him the Mayor of Slick Rock for nothing! While we were stopped for lunch a group of mountain bikers came by. Dan stopped them and made sure they all had plenty of water and food and topped them off if they needed it. That's the kind of guy Dan is, Just cares about the people and wants to make sure everyone is having a good time on the trails of Moab! In a word......"epic". Our family planned our trip to Utah months in advance, and my wife did her research on which Jeep tour to book for our trip. Dan Mick (and our excellent guide, Curtis :) did not disappoint. Everything, and I do mean everything, was perfect (including when our Jeep blew a hydraulic line for a steering assist ram, which the guys handled with humor and professionalism :) It's truly amazing what these specialty machines and drivers can do. Curtis, our driver, made the Jeep tour fun and interesting. He's very friendly and tells great stories. His amazing driving skills and experience made us feel safe and able to enjoy the daring drive. I never imagined that a car could go up and down the rocks like that. We had seen jeeps do incredible things in commercials but nothing as daring (and safe) as what we experienced. It was a cool day and the weather was inconsistent. My husband was in the front and I was in the back. Curtis was very thoughtful and made sure to put the heat on when I got cold. We have been traveling across the country for 2 weeks now and the jeep tour with Richard is the highlight for all 5 of us! He is a great driver and there was not a second that we didn't feel safe despite climbing walls and coming down steep grades. I can't recommend him highly enough. We just did the sunrise tour with Richard (as they were booked out for the sunset tour). Turned out to be the best trip ever as we basically had the whole place to ourselves. this was the highlight of our vacation,we came to Moab with friends for hiking and biking.we took the tour after one of our bike rides with Robbie as our tour guild and driver.he was a very experience driver and is one of Dan's son.we thought we were just going on a tour to sight see but what a nice surprise when we climbed up the mountain with some scary inclines.the best and scariest was the Hell's Gate climb,we had such a good thrilling experience that i will not forget.if you you tube some videos on the Hell's Gate trail,you'll see other people trying to go up.you probably wont go on the tour because it'll show what can happen if you are not skilled and experience.the Micks are the pioneers.we would not trust any other outfitter.life is short,you got to do this! read more
