We decided to try Maidens for breakfast this morning. We started with an order of the scotch eggs which were AMAZING! I highly recommend them with the horseradish. My husband and I both ordered the three meat skillet along with biscuits and a side of gravy. The biscuits were very hard and crumbled when trying to cut or tear them a part. I had two bites of mine and didn't finish it. The gravy was good but very thick and heavy just a heads up. The meat and potatoes in our skillets were very good. We both got scrambled eggs which did not have a good flavor and looked "dirty" - like they were cooked on a dirty griddle after the meat or something. They also appear to use bagged shredded cheese which becomes very plastic like as the dish cools. The skillet is very dry, I added sriracha to mine and my husband used ketchup. It started off good with the scotch eggs but we were disappointed in the rest of the experience. Our server was very inattentive and sat at the bar most of the time talking to other employees. Towards the end she came and filled my glass and my husbands with water - which he actually had Mellow Yellow to drink. We were done so we just paid and left. We would return to try something else on their menu and hopefully get a better server. We saw others being much more attentive to their guests. read more

Was very dissatisfied when we ate there this past Saturday night. We got two orders of pretzel bites and they were overcooked. Ordered or food and waited around 40-45 minutes until it was brought to our table. There were only five other people in the place at the time. Our waitress had to be asked to get us refills. The food was mediocre at a best. For what our bill total was, we overpaid for what quality of food was given us. We won't be back. read more

We visited on a Saturday night @ prime time-8:00 PM. Seemed very slow, but we didn't mind. We ordered a couple of beers and dinner. My food was good! I had a stack of fries with Pulled pork, bacon and chicken. My husband had fish and chips. No real complaints on the food. The smell in the building was sort of odd, if you will and the ceiling was dripping just inside the entrance in the waiting area. Overall, we will return for the beer and social atmosphere, but the place could use some refreshments to the physical environment. read more

Just OK for now. Could be growing pains? Guest tap selection was really good, but still none of their own brews. Food was below par. We had a party of 4 and only 1 of us was satisfied with our meal. (My Wrathburger was good) Specialty salad was lacking many ingredients, other than lettuce. Fish sandwich was completely raw in the middle. (They did give him a $15 gift card, upon inspecting the sandwich.) Grilled chicken sandwich had a very thinly sliced portion of chicken, less than 3 ounces for sure - poor value for $11. Our server was prompt and professional. We will go back, but we will likely pass on the food, until reviews show they have made improvements. We were traveling and checked Yelp for a good place to eat in Evansville. Saw Maidens and it was a plus being a Brewery too. The host and waitress were friendly and fabulous! Max, the host talked to us about the foods that Evansville is known for. The chicken sandwich with the pulled pork on top was a sandwich he recommended. OMG! It was fabulous! Also got the pretzel bites and the beer cheese sauce was warm, gooey and yummy! I enjoyed the Yvettes double IPA with the meal. I wish I could remember the waitresses name because she was good too! Saw this restaurant on a sponsored TV show and went for a weekend drive. So glad we did! Not our normal scene but absolutely loved it. Great service, wonderful food and enjoyed the beer tasting. Can't wait for another weekend drive to Maidens. read more

Walked in and wasn't greeted by the hostess who was busy on TikTok. Finally got her attention and wanted to sit outside but was told no. 2 min later she seats a four top outside....okay? "Chef inspired" pub food means we don't put vegetables on the menu and everything is fried. I realize it is (or was) a heavy metal inspired restaurant, but to play music that screams the F-Word over and over in a place that's described as "family friendly" wasn't cool when you have kids with you. The waitress was mean when I didn't like their beer and wanted it off my bill. It was seriously a terrible experience all around. read more

Went to Maiden's for the first time tonight and it was excellent. Great beer selection, and creative menu. We had fish sandwiches, burgers, and fish and chips and everyone enjoyed their meal. The relaxed,friendly server made the evening even better. The decor is nice and bright with windows to the outside and nice outdoor seating. We will be back! read more

Huge beer selection! I kind of wish the food menu was just a tiny bit more varied, but the food they have is delicious. Everything our table ordered was great, and the server's beer recommendations were all on point. The servers are really friendly and overall I like the atmosphere of the place. It's currently in a building with sort of weird lighting but if we're at the point where the only issue is weird lights I think they're doing pretty well. I hope they get super popular and move into a bigger, moodier space that's always packed. read more

Ok this is my new favorite spot in Evansville!! Had the Meat Sweats and and the tacos!! Had a Vivian and a Kelly to start and definitely go with the Jaunita over the Rita for the tacos !!! High five for both meals. Chris, our server was AMAZING!! He was knowledgeable, personal and just all around excellent!! Presentation, restaurant decor, cleanliness, and atmosphere and general associates attitude was pleasant. Only criticism I can give is serve lime with the tacos!! read more

4 of us arrive on Friday night. It was really bright inside, host seats us up stairs in a booth. Server comes right over and was friendly. We order appetizer, 4 meals, 2 mixed drinks, 2 beers. Beers were ok, mixed drinks were a little weak. App was a fraction of the size it should have been (each of us got one bite.) The food was not good. I ordered a tofu stir fry. I would have made out better opening a Lean Cuisine frozen meal. Chicken (rubbery), burger (cold) and fish (greasy) dishes were just "meh". The bill was $65 for 4. Probably won't return. read more

Just experienced Damsel's beer, Kaitlyn, at a local brewery event at Haynies Corner in Evansville, IN. This beer was, in my opinion, the best of 15 or so beers featured at this event. It is a dark IPA that is a very well balanced beer between a medium dry IPA and a creamy stout. Wow! Great job Damsel Brewing! Got to get you some before they sell out!! While you are at their venue, order up some of their great food!! read more

Beer selection is decent with 10 in house and 7 out. I stayed in and tried the Elaine, pale ale, which had an average hop top, the Lori, brown ale which was nutty and the Beth, an oatmeal stout which wasn't near malty enough to be flavorful. Considering they are just getting their own brews going, there's untapped potential The service left a bit to be desired. Beer took way too long and it appeared there was plenty of wait and service staff for a Saturday afternoon. Ordered beers before food and food arrived before beers, a terrible mistake, but forgivable if the food is good. It was but it's kind of hard to mess up pub food. Had the Rueben, wife had the Blackened chicken breast sandwich. Fries were hot, but had to steal ketchup off an adjacent table. It's a great location and layout with lots of outdoor seating. The food is very hit or miss. I have gotten the Wrath Child burger, bbq nachos, fish and chips, and I've tried their Crawfish Etouffee. They were all pretty good, but the service is pretty slow. Just seemed like there wasn't any motivation to get any where fast. read more

Tried this place out while on a business trip. Although there are a number of beer choices and variety of food options the cleanliness of the bar area and lack of friendly wait staff would have me choosing somewhere else if I was in the area again. I had a number of 1/2 pints and ordered a Cuban sandwich all were just okay. Beer selection is pitiful. For it being a brewery, they only have one of their own beers on tap. Gator fries were cold so we sent them back. The bartender was eating behind the bar while we needed silverware, had to holler at her while she had food in her mouth. I had a sip of beer left and she took my glass from me. We aren't beer drinkers, but this place is great for lunch! We tried the perfectly prepared pretzels and beer cheese as well as the lightly breaded and slightly spicy Damsel shrimp. These two appetizers made a delicious combination for a light lunch between the two of us, not to mention the fresh brewed iced tea. Service here was excellent! read more

Worst service I've had in a long time. Took 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by our server. Never got our round of waters. Forgot to put in my order for food and couldn't even remember what I ordered and finally got it when everyone was already finished with their drinks. He never offered drink refills. Went there twice they turned us away once they could only serve Appetizers, tried it again at a different time of day they told us they where not serving food because they could not keep up with food orders. There was no one there. I live on the Westside was really looking forward to eating there. Never again to many fine restaurants on the Westside to waist my time. read more

This was our first time to Maidens. We enjoyed the pretzel bites, Cuban sandwich & the purgatory burger. All were very good. Service was great & we really appreciate the waitress changing my sons meal when the pronto pup turned out not to be a corn dog. She happily brought him a PB&J instead. The beer selections were good. They do charge $1 for each sample. The food presentation was nice. My wife had the Crawfish Etouffee. It was dry and lacked flavor. Disappointing. I had the IPA Chicken. The mashed potatoes were not creamy and the gravy lacked flavor. The green beans were tough and stringy and the chicken was good. I had brunch there - the Skillet was really good. Lots of food and delicious. Someone got beer cheese pretzels - they were amazing. They also do this cool thing where you can try a beer for a dollar in this cool little glass. Beer and food were very good, but everything was a bit pricey. read more

wife and i stopped in wednesday about 2 we wher th only ones there waitress took our orders quickly wife said her fish sandwich was good my gater po boy was soaked in hot sauce i couldnt eat it both came with a large plate of bland french frys when the bartender asked about our food i told him it had way too much hot sauce he asked if there was anyway he could make restitutions i lost all hunger after my second bite and told him no thanks later when the watress came back i told her it was the worst po boy i had ever ate she replied HOPE THE REST OF YOUR DAY IS BETTER and walked away wasnt impressed by the high prices or the bad service probably wont ever go back read more
