Well I received my bike a few days ago which I set up my self. As long as you have some basic experience of using spanners allen keys and plyers, you should be okay. Normally with other cycles I have ordered in the past u get a basic spanner and allen keys, but no such luck here.
Also it stated on the box that the bike should not be sent to the customer part assembled as this invalidates the warranty, my bike a Dawes Discovery 201 was sent part assembled so no warranty.
I also emailed the company asking why the bike I ordered is still on their website at £41 pounds below the price I paid for,. They stated that they are having problems with their website. So beware anyone hoping to purchase this bike at £209 pounds as advertised on the Damien Harris website you will be disappointed. On the positive side they are very quick at replying to emails and telephone calls, however If you want a bike at the advertised price and with a valid warranty on the Dawes cycle range, look elsewhere. read more
