I have had Dr Bass as my Gynecologist for about 15 years. He's AMAZING. Both intelligent and skilled... I'm his patient until he retires!!!

I'm delighted to be back under Dr. Branaman's care! Everyone there is still wonderful and sweet! Front desk ladies are very welcoming and always have a smile on their faces! I still have about 4 more months to go and I'll give a final review then but I guarantee you my thoughts won't change. This place is perfect and all the lovely ladies there are perfect. I don't love the hospital we deliver at but she's so great that I'm not going to switch OB. She's super personable and friendly which makes You feel more comfortable delivering your baby with someone like that! My first OB felt like a bully and I immediately switched OBs. I had two appointments at this women's health office: an initial consultation/wellness visit and a…read morelater appointment for an IUD replacement. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice, particularly for patients with a history of sexual trauma. At both visits, the front desk (Gaylen) experience was disappointing. I was not greeted warmly, communication felt abrupt, and I was repeatedly asked to complete paperwork electronically without much explanation or assistance. During my first appointment, there were unexpected issues verifying my insurance. I have used the same insurance with multiple specialists and providers without difficulty. The situation delayed my appointment by approximately 25 minutes, and I was asked to contact other medical offices myself to obtain information that I believed should have been accessible through standard verification procedures. My second visit was significantly more distressing. I had previously discussed with my gynecologist that providing a urine sample was a trigger for me due to past trauma. Despite this, I was informed immediately before my procedure that a pregnancy test would be required and that the appointment could not proceed without additional testing. This requirement had not been communicated to me beforehand. After speaking with the office manager and explaining my concerns, she was apologetic and ultimately confirmed that, because I already had an IUD in place, the procedure could move forward. I appreciated her willingness to reconsider the situation, but I was disappointed that my chart notes did not appear to have been reviewed before the issue escalated. I want to acknowledge the providers I worked with. Rachel was compassionate, validating, and made me feel heard during my initial visit. Ashley was also kind and professional during a very difficult procedure. Due to a combination of pain, anxiety, and emotional distress, the IUD insertion was ultimately unsuccessful. Ashley sought assistance from another provider and offered pain management options, but after approximately 45 minutes, I decided to stop the procedure because I was overwhelmed and in too much discomfort. My concerns are primarily with the administrative processes and lack of trauma-informed communication. Patients should be informed of testing requirements before arriving for procedures, and documented triggers and accommodations should be reviewed and respected. While I had positive experiences with the medical providers themselves, my overall experience with the office left me feeling unsupported and emotionally distressed.

If I could give this office negative stars, I would…read more I have never experienced such a complete failure of patient care. Let's start with the timeline. I waited six weeks just to get an appointment, another week to have the ultrasound, and it has now been more than three weeks since the ultrasound was completed. During that entire time, I have received zero proactive communication from this office. Not one phone call. Not one portal message. Not one update. Every single contact has been initiated by me. Every week I call, I get the same canned response: "The doctor hasn't reviewed your ultrasound yet." Apparently, an ultrasound ordered because of severe pain and abnormal bleeding can simply sit for weeks while the patient is left to suffer. I was told the office manager would call me. That never happened. Just another empty promise from a practice that seems completely incapable of following through on even the most basic aspects of patient care. Meanwhile, I am living with horrific daily abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, and irregular menstrual cycles. Their solution while they let my ultrasound collect dust? A muscle relaxer. Not an answer. Not a diagnosis. Not an expedited review. Just a muscle relaxer that does absolutely nothing to address the reason I'm in pain. To make matters worse, I developed a swollen lump near my lymph node while waiting for someone to review my ultrasound. When I brought it to their attention, I was essentially told it wasn't their problem because it wasn't on my breast and that I should see my primary care physician instead. My primary care physician can't move forward because we are still waiting on the very ultrasound results this office refuses to review. So here I am--stuck in medical limbo because the one office responsible for my care can't be bothered to do theirs. I have a documented family history of cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers. Whether my ultrasound ultimately shows something serious or not is almost beside the point. No patient should spend weeks wondering if they have cancer while repeatedly begging a medical office to review a test that has already been completed. The emotional toll of this experience has been overwhelming. I am not just frustrated--I am scared. Every day that passes without answers is another day spent wondering whether something serious is being missed while this office does absolutely nothing. This isn't simply poor customer service. This is a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic patient care. A medical practice should never leave patients chasing their own results, making repeated phone calls that go nowhere, receiving broken promises from management, and suffering without a plan while everyone shrugs and says, "The doctor hasn't reviewed it." If this is how they treat a patient with severe symptoms who is actively calling for help, I can't imagine how many other people have been left waiting and wondering. I would not trust this office with my healthcare again, and I strongly encourage anyone considering becoming a patient here to ask themselves one question: If you were in severe pain and worried you might have a serious gynecologic condition, would you want your ultrasound sitting unreviewed for more than three weeks while no one from the office even bothers to call you back? I know my answer.

Dr. Zoneraich was always friendly, straight forward, and willing to answer our questions. Dr. Peterson was knowledgeable and always helped us feel at ease during our interactions. Kelly did a majority of our procedures and was absolutely fantastic. She made us feel extremely comfortable and hopeful along our journey. Taylor was also incredibly kind and it was refreshing to have a friendly and familiar face at appointments. Last but not least, Savannah was truly my savior in this process. She answered all of my crazy questions, checked in regularly, and really helped us keep our sanity during this journey. We truly cannot thank the team enough for the patience, care, and compassion they showed us. After trying to conceive for 6 years, it is a dream come true to be expecting our first baby in December. If you're looking for an office with a stellar team that will treat you like family and put your mind at ease, look no further. Dr. Larsen was incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, always taking the time to explain each step clearly. And my care team--Kelly, Kirsty, Abbey --were nothing short of amazing. They supported me through every appointment, got me in right away if i felt I needed to be seen, answered every question with patience, and truly made me feel like I wasn't alone in this. Avoid Desert West OBGYN at all costs…read more Our experience started with waiting over 2 hours despite having a scheduled appointment. When we were finally seen, the doctor spent less than 5 minutes with us, asked almost no meaningful questions, and never performed or scheduled an anatomy ultrasound despite my wife being over 20 weeks pregnant. We left feeling rushed, dismissed, and genuinely concerned about the quality of care. The office staff and management only made things worse. They were consistently rude, disorganized, and nearly impossible to reach. Calls were rarely answered, messages weren't returned, and we spent months trying to resolve a billing issue. We paid around $1,000 out of pocket because our insurance didn't cover the visit. After deciding to leave the practice due to the poor care, we were promised a $650 refund. Instead, we only received about half of that after months of calling multiple times a week and even making trips to the office in person. Every time we managed to reach someone, we were told, "You'll get your money back in about a week." That never happened. The billing situation was unbelievably unprofessional. After repeatedly asking to speak with the billing department and getting nowhere, one of the front desk employees admitted there wasn't even a billing department anymore because the two people who handled billing were no longer with the practice. Yet when I went into the office, they still acted as if someone from billing was available, saying things like, "Let me get someone from billing to help you." We were given multiple manager and staff extensions, but no one ever answered or returned calls. The lack of communication, accountability, and honesty was beyond frustrating. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had with a medical office. We regret not reading the reviews beforehand. If you value your time, your money, and quality prenatal care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Culbertson and his practice. I work as a nurse at nearby hospital…read moreand he came highly recommended by many of my coworkers. He is a great, thorough physician with great bedside manner. He made sure I got all of the prenatal care I needed with an extensive family history of cardiac issues, and he made me feel safe and secure the entire time while being pregnant during a pandemic. Although it wasn't ideal that visitors were extremely limited due to COVID, they followed the CDC guidelines, and as a pregnant woman whose health is more vulnerable, I could appreciate the extra safety precautions the office took. It was nice to meet the other physicians in the practice (who were just as kind!) prior to delivery. The office also has the convenience of a lab on site, so no need to travel to an outside clinic to get blood work done. It's a beautiful, clean office and I've never felt like I was not taken care of there. During my delivery, Dr. Culbertson was calm and collected the entire time, and patiently explained all my options as my baby wasn't dropping. We went with a cesarean section and although this wasn't the original plan, he gave me many options and totally made me feel comfortable with each and every one of them. I chose to go forth with the cesarean, and I was definitely nervous, but he kept me at ease the entire time and delivered my baby safely. I am soooo beyond thankful to Dr. Culbertson and will continue to see him and I will refer him until I'm blue in the face. I just want to note--it means something when MANY nurses go to the same practitioner. To know and trust someone, and give him a referral is a big deal. And I know many nurses across the entire hospital in many different units who use him as their primary OB/GYN. He's wonderful!!!!

Every single time I went in, the staff was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Appointments they claimed were scheduled were not actually booked, which created unnecessary stress and confusion. I constantly had to advocate for myself because no one clearly explained what appointments I was there for or what was supposed to happen next. The insurance issues were also a nightmare. I am a veteran and receive maternity care through the VA. Their office spoke directly with my VA maternity care coordinator, yet I still had problems with my insurance at almost every visit. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, the attitude I got was basically, "Sorry, nothing we can do." That is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a pregnant patient in a vulnerable position. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I actually started canceling appointments because going into that office caused me more stress than reassurance. There were days I left in tears. The front desk staff showed no empathy, no professionalism, and no willingness to do anything beyond the bare minimum. As for Dr. Bruce, I did not have major issues with him personally, but I did feel dismissed at times. I understand insurance and front desk problems are not directly his job, but they are happening in his office, under his name. When I brought up issues, I did not feel like anyone cared enough to address them. I also had extremely severe varicose veins during pregnancy. Dr. Bruce did not seem very concerned, and I had to push to get a referral. When I finally saw the vein specialist, she was very concerned and told me they were the worst veins she had seen in about 20 years. Overall, I left this office feeling unsupported, dismissed, and stressed during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I wish the people working there cared more about the type of care they are supposed to be providing. Pregnancy is already overwhelming. Patients should not have to fight the front desk, fight insurance confusion, and fight to be taken seriously at every visit.

I went to my appointment at 40 weeks, and we decided to schedule another appointment for the following week to discuss the option of induction if the baby did not come. When the baby didn't arrive, I went for my appointment, but the receptionist informed me that Dr. Brotsky had gone on vacation and wouldn't return for a week. I understand that people have lives, but this information hadn't been communicated to me, and I was 41 weeks pregnant. I felt abandoned. I wanted to speak with a nurse practitioner at least to ensure the baby's safety, but they told me I didn't need to talk to anyone and instructed me to call the hospital in three days to schedule an induction. I experienced a lot of anxiety waiting for the baby and having no backup plan. Three days later, the hospital called me and asked me to come in within 40 minutes because apparently, Dr. Brotsky had scheduled an induction for me, but no one had informed me. We rushed to the hospital. Dr. Brotsky returned for the birth even though I had been told she was gone for a week. After practicing pushing with her a few times, she left me with the nurse. I had an epidural so I was not feeling contractions and the monitor was not working and not reading them. I was pushing but not making progress. When I asked Dr. Brotsky to come back, she responded with, "How can I help you?" when I was so vulnerable and needed guidance and support. Once she arrived, my baby was born in 20 minutes. So she could have helped by simply doing her job!!! I am grateful that both my baby and I are healthy, but I couldn't have the birth I had envisioned because of poor communication and planning. I don't recommend Dr. Brotsky. While she seems to care, it feels insincere, and in reality, she does not seem to prioritize her patients' needs.

They are serviceable with polite midwives, short appointments, and a nice office. However, if your goal is a natural, physiological labor and delivery free from unnecessary interventions, I can virtually guarantee you that obstetric care in a hospital cannot give you that. I left this practice at 34 weeks pregnant in order to switch to out of hospital midwifery led care and consider it to be one of the top five greatest decisions of my life. Somebody should be honest with women about how difficult it is to overcome hospital policy and how little most obstetricians (who are technically just surgeons, by the way) know about physiological birth. This place did absolutely nothing to empower me or educate me about unmedicated birth or setting myself up for successful nursing. On the other hand, the six weeks I spent with midwifery led care (each appointment taking at least an hour) filled me with such extreme confidence and excitement about labor and delivery that I had my very first child in a completely unmedicated, non-augmented birth center birth with great success; the most glorious experience of my life! Due to some bumps in the road during labor which were handled flawlessly by my midwives in an out of hospital setting (and handled by me, due to my being able to MOVE MY LEGS and walk around!), I actually shudder to think of how my birth hiccups would have turned out in a hospital had I stayed with this practice with the total lack of support and reliance on interventions. If you want sincerely want a birth with the whole cascade of hospital interventions like induction, Pitocin, an epidural and all of that, and some women very much do, this office will be just fine for your goals! If you are low risk and desire a natural birth with care providers whom you actually get to know, I would think very carefully about going with an OB's office. The quality of care is so dramatically different with midwifery led care that if I can help it, I'll never step foot in an OBGYN's office again. They're not evil here; ultimately they just have too many clients to care. I believe you deserve better.
