For resort food the Argentario Resort is actually solid and affordable. Not great variety of you eat nearly every meal for a whole week there but the salads are fresh and delicious, pastas are perfect, the fresh fish (the only thing that edged on the pricy side for €70/kilo for a 1 kilo fish for two), the deserts and the wines were all good. Even the restaurant at the golf course has fresh pastas, salads, and chilled seafood.
The service is pretty good but the people there try very hard to please with sometimes limited English skills (our problem, not theirs in this Rome weekender resort).
The rooms were also nice though not as nice as the photos from the website lead one to believe.
The golf course is in good condition and it's challenging enough. read more
